Service was slow and the staff was ho hum. Big let down from last time we were here. The food is good but service was not. We came on a Sunday and there was a huge group and everyone was catering to them. Salsa is really good not to runny and does not have that awful garlic taste.

I always enjoy coming out to eat with my family. It’s nice to come and have a sit-down meal. The service has always been well and the food is some of the best. However, there could be some improvements made in my opinion.

My wife and I go to El Chico’s from time to time. This location is nice because it’s not as busy at the other two and is a mile away from our house. However, the service tends to suffer at times. We dinned in last night and as soon as we got there we found ourselves waiting at the front door for about five minutes as the manager was talking at the bar to another employee. She finally noticed us and finished her conversation and then approached us. The restaurant was some slow and had about 6 tables taken up. She escorted us to a table because no one had clean the empty booths yet. We asked to be seated at a booth and waited as one was cleaned. The waitress was nice, but seemed to be the only one working. She appeared to be a little overwhelmed at times, but maintained great attitude. I had ordered a margarita and it look FOREVER for it come arrive. Surprising due to the bartender not having any customers to wait on. Once the Cha Cha Rita arrived, at first taste it was made poorly. I didn’t complain because we were already tired and disappointed with our experience. Our food arrived and was decent but not delicious. Over all this was a bad trip to this location and for a $ 50 meal ticket, this was far from worth it.

The food is consistantly good Tex-Mex. Fast friendly service, not as loud as other restaurants. The place could use a facelift. Prices $ 8 and up for dinners. I like the beef nachos and the Juarez dinner, this is still one of my favorite places to eat dinner.

We try other places but always come back to THIS El Chico. The only one that has great spinach enchiladas. The wait staff are very nice and don’t make you feel like you are being processed. My only negative comment is: put a TV where you don’t have to look up at the ceiling to see it.
