Love it here! Free popcorn for the table and they let you try a sample from the tap before you decide.

So I stumbled upon this location and thought it was fabulous. I ordered beer pancakes and Thai sauce wings the first time around with a side of atomic sauce which I thought was fantastic. The second time around a group of us went and we ordered the Mac and cheese which was amazing a chicken sandwich amazing and wings. I have nothing bad to say about this location and it gets crowded yet there service is fast.

Great wings, great burgers, great fries and great selection of beers. What more can you ask for in a local bar? Usually gets packed so try to arrive early for a table.

I love coming to Bronx ale house. Staff is very knowledgeable, waiters give better service because they pool tips so you can see up to 4 different waiters in a one hour sit down. Sweet wings are to due for but if you want variety you can go for a sampler. There is one for wings and one for sliders I tend to get both. Let’s not forget the star of the show, lavender lemonade for my mixed drink people and all hefeweizen beer. Did I mention they always have plenty of gunhill gold from gunhill brewery that is write up the block. How local can you get? The owner can sometimes be found bar tending man this guy is the heart of this house. His beer knowledge is unmatched and I am in the beer business so trust me this guy is good. Inquire about the beer club.

All around super friendly staff but could use some work. We originally ordered the fried green tomatoes to start, followed by our entrees but here’s what happened: We first received the baked mac and cheese but immediately alerted them that we never ordered it but they turned back to us and told us we can have it anyway because they cooked it up by mistake of their own, ok no problem, yay free appetizer! But before we could really start eating the entrees very quickly came out followed by the fried green tomatoes resulting in an overwhelming display of food on our tiny corner table. I was excited to try it all! The baked mac and cheese was pretty good, crispy, not too greasy and it held together really well the cheese was nice and creamy too. The chicken sandwich was also pretty good, I liked the brioche bun touch and the softly spicy slaw and fried pickles which gave it all a real kick. I had my heart set on those fried green tomatoes. My heart currently belongs to the ones cooked up at Dinosaur BBQ but I wanted to try a different version of it someplace new. Sadly, they were not at all what I expected, upon first touch they started to fall apart. The breading wouldn’t stick and the tomato was soggy there was ZERO crisp or crunch in this appetizer, and I wasn’t thrilled with the side sauce it comes with. This is overall a nice place meet up with friends and talk to new people, watch sports and try various beers. I would come back for a brewskie but not sure about giving the food a try again. $ 15 credit card minimum!

This was my first time going to this spot and I will be coming back again. I and my lady both had Apple cider beer that was fantastic. We had the Nachos Grande that was fantastic. I had the Grilled Chicken Wrap and it was fantastic and my lady had the Turkey Burger and it was amazing as well. TWOTHUMBSUP The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is because I need to try more of the options on the menu, but… we are definitely fans now!

I have been to Bronx Alehouse a few times and it never disappointed. It’s basically a pub. Its super clean with tons of seating. Not even sticky spots on the bar. They have traditional tables and chairs, as well as tall tables and stools. And people actually use them! The bar is not crowded. I love it! I never get a jab on the elbow or a beer spill here. I haven’t tried their food. But their beer menu is extensive. Over a dozen beers to choose from. Some are from nearby breweries. I like that. I can support my local businesses. The service is superb. The waiters and servers are not snobby. They are friendly and guided me through the big beer menu. Our waitress helped me choose a beer that was not too strong of a taste.

AMAZINGFOODANDATMOSPHERE! Try to avoid late nights because it does get overcrowded. However, if you don’t mind a 40 min wait then it is totally worth it. There was only one negative experience I had here. One of the waiters asked my friend for ID even though he had seen us there multiple times. He made him go to his apartment and bring it in. I understand being strict but a better approach was warranted.

Really great service, our waiter was amazing and the food was also really good as well. They give you popcorn when you first sit down, the waiter we had was really hands on and didn’t look bored with his life or job, and everyone looked happy to be there !!!

Is this an ideal anniversary location, no not really… But when this place has been on our list of must tries for a while we decided to go for it. And they did not disappoint. We arrived for their Sunday brunch and were offered seats at the bar. The bartender was extremely attentive and diligent with all of our orders. The beer screen, that’s what I’m calling it, was a great addition to the bar. The screen informed us about each beer’s alcohol content, how much was left in the keg, price, and we had a number of options to choose from. The food was the best part! I ordered their burger of the week(it was a lamb burger) and my bf got the bacon cheddar with garlic Parmesan fries. My food was yum! But his order was outstanding!!! When a bar can properly offer their customers delicious beer and food then I’m sold. I mean what else could you want? Isn’t this the sole reason people go to bars? To eat, drink and perhaps to enjoy the company of others. But the food and drink is what keeps people coming back for more! And I will do just that. Prices are also set at a decent price. Fav new place.

Great bar, Great beer! Bronx Ale House has been on my list for months and I never had an opportunity to check it out until last night. I went with a friend last night and we both really liked the place. It’s a cool spot with a neighborhood feel unlike its neighboring Buffalo Wild Wings and the other cookie cutter spots that are taking over the area. Bronx ale house had a great crowd last night. Not to mention plenty of attractive women. They have a nice selection of craft beers. The first one I tried was«Bells Consecrator» and WOW! This beer is delicious! So good that I just stuck with it the entire night. This place is really about the craft beer. They even serve each beer in its appropriate drink ware. This isn’t some generic pub specializing in bottles of bud light. For food I had the fried pickles and the jerk chicken bites. The pickles were pretty good but the jerk chicken bites were kinda tough and not served to me hot. I had to ask them to re heat them. Food was definitely not the highlight of my visit. Despite the misstep in the food department I’m giving them 4 stars. It’s a fun spot with some excellent beer, a friendly attentive staff and a good crowd. I’m still going to come back and try more food, I saw things that other people ordered that looked really good.

cool bar which seems to always be busy. good finger food and bar foods. Apple cider beers are good and they have a couple options. I’m a apple cider fanatic and I like this place because ciders are hard to come by and they have options. Many drinks on tap which are pretty awesome. They have a huge beer selection as they are an ale house. You can purchase a huge gallon of beer for take out which is a great idea. The service is ok. They are somewhat attentive but due to the high volume of customers there can sometimes be a wait for tables, bathroom, or service. If you need a good variety of beer, & would like to catch any sport in the bar scene, this place would be for you.

Great selection of craft beers, and excellent food throughout the menu. When a half-dozen 62 year olds hit a neighborhood they haven’t been to in decades and unanimously call a restaurant/ale house a place they’d come back to, you know it must be good. The place was packed on a cold Saturday afternoon… great atmosphere!

Excellent bar in the Riverdale area. They have a great selection of beer and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I haven’t been here for dinner, but we came here for brunch before. The chicken and waffles is awesome. The pull pork sandwiches is as good as any in the city. On top of that, they give you free popcorn. There were multiple TVs showing sport channels. Recently, there’s a new coffee place two stores down, so you can have a nice beer for brunch and get some coffee afterwards.

I have been few times in this place, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is very good, though the music playing was a bit loud and the sitting are a bit uncountable. They also have table outside but I did not have a chance to try it because is winter. There are a lot of draft beers and they changed it very frequently. The food is very good I can recommend the Smoked Ribs a ½ rack house-smoked St. Louis ribs with Jerk Sauce or Bronx Alehouse BBQ sauce, very juice and delicious, the wings and French fries are pretty good. Don’t Order the burger is not good. But is nice to see a quality bar in the Bronx, I will come back more often.

This is long overdue. I’ve been coming here for a few years and it’s just outside of my neighborhood, so it’s always an old faithful. Bronx Ale House has taught me… that I really love beer. Now, if by beer you mean Bud, Coors, and Miller, you might want to look elsewhere – or you might want to park yourself here for a few hours and learn something new. One cool feature is that their 16 revolving taps are featured on huge TV screens throughout the venue. These are not your run of the mill brews, but craft beers that range from hyperlocal(think Gun Hill Brewery and Yonkers Brewery) to American(tonight I got an amazing Imperial Stout from San Diego brewed with Hawaiian coffee and coconuts) to international(catch a great German Hefeweizen here on many nights.) The screen will name the beer, brewery, city of origin, IBU, ABV, type(i.e., stout, lager, IPA) and price. I honestly have never had a bad beer here. Sure, some I was not crazy about, but you can try samples, though to me ordering off of the ever-revolving menu is part of the fun. There is always a cider on tap and always a nitro. You can also get beers in a can or bottle, such a tripels and lambics, among others. Ah, the really cool thing. Crazy about a brewery or beer type? Their taps are displayed real time on the website. Want to know if your fave IPA just dropped? Or if you have a chance to snatch up that German weissbier(me) after work? The site will even tell you what percentage of the keg remains. The food? It had a BBQ bent to it. Expect lots of burgers, wings, homemade sauces, cheeses, and various homecut fries. The ribs appetizer(BBQ or jerk style) is a win-win situation at half a rack(think 2 chunks the size of an adult hand.) The grilled cheese is a brunch or Sunday afternoon classic, especially with some pulled pork added on. They have a burger of the week. My favorite to date has been a veal burger with chutney and goat’s cheese, a sweet/savory juxtaposition to the bitterness of the beer. A side tip: the huge screen at the bar is connected to Instagram and Twitter. If you tweet about or tag the Ale House on IG, it will appear in boxes at the top of the screen. It’s definitely a novelty to see a photo of yours or tweet with your avatar from a day or two ago come up across the screen while you drink! The best bartenders are Liz and Jimmy, very down to earth, knowledgable folks. Oh, and did I mention they offer free homemade popcorn as a treat? Yeah, what more could you want? The main downside and only I’ve experienced is a matter of space. After midweek, it gets CROWDED, like standing room only. It acquired an adjacent storefront, which it incorporated as a dining area, but after a certain hour and past early week, arrive early.

I travel here once in awhile from jersey city. Yeah that’s how good this place is. It’s a great bar, great beer selection and with a friendly staff. And the food is phenomenal. There is love in the food. Very flavorful and cooked right. It’s much more than bar food. I wish this place was closer to my house. So I could go here every day. I ordered the smoked cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. And a side of fried green tomatoes. The cheesesteak was excellent. You taste the smoke and the gooey smooth cheese between the fresh crispy roll. Mmmm The fried green tomatoes were very crispy I didn’t like the jam it came with too sweet for me so I asked for sriracha. That always does the trick. A nice taste bite. If ur in the Bronx. Make sure u don’t pass this place up. You won’t regret it.
