I read Jenny’s story about losing her keys there — I had exactly the opposite experience there once, where they called me to let me know I had left something behind.

I dislike this place. The tailor does not know how to properly hem the lining inside of a dress, I had to return my two of my dress (on two separate occasions) and get it re-​hemmed. The dry cleaning is fine. There are better places in the area.

I love these people. I got several pairs of pants hemmed here, and I think I might have had dry cleaning done a few times too. They are friendly and well-​staffed and they seem to have a steady flow of customers. The last time I bothered to comparison-​shop, they had the best prices for tailoring in the Kingsbridge neighborhood. Big plus that they’re located so close to the 238^th St. subway stop.
Also, they let me search through their huge button bins when I was missing buttons on some other articles of clothing that had been processed by other dry cleaners. And then they let me keep some buttons! They were totally friendly about it and I didn’t feel like a creep doing it. Rock on.
Added note: I think they have gone through name changes over the years, so just to be clear, this is on the south side of 238^th street, walking east from the subway, just before the Deegan overpass, and before (west of) Bailey Ave.
