Very good, fresh food. The baked goods are out of this world. If you are going for breakfast/lunch I recommend the shakshuka, the LEO, and the vegetable soup. Make sure to order the rolls with any meal, they’re incredible. Five stars.

been here multiple times and the food is good and so is the service. i have never been disappointed. if there is ever an issue all i had to do is talk to the waiter or at the counter and they take care of it. it has indoor and outdoor seating and they make delicious deserts and fresh food.

stopped in here to try a piece of cake. was looking for a piece of strawberry shortcake but there were none available. ordered a coffee slice and a chocolate slice. both were a little too sweet to eat without adequate flavoring. it seems like a charming little eatery and I was excited to see that they only have vegetarian dishes but I think I will hold off for now.

Rude rude RUDE!!! If you walk in with a child or a stroller(you’re really asking for it then!) they pretty much ignore you until you leave. That’s exactly what happened to me when I was supposed to have breakfast there with my brother and kids. I had no way to move my stroller past a table they had placed at the front of the café while my child was crying. They ignored me while attending to their absolutely empty restaurant. The woman who works there just watched me leave in frustration without batting an eye. Riverdale is unfortunately captive to some bad cuisine(and this place is a stellar example of that as well) but there’s no excuse for poor service. Our neighborhood is full of families with young children looking for places to go during the week. This restaurant may have some romantic notion that they are cooler than that but guess what? Riverdale is no hot singles scene. Know thy neighborhood. I have a ton of young mom friends with babies and toddlers who refuse to go there because of the way they’ve been treated. And PS: They have no high chairs. We hear you loud and clear, so please go ahead and just shred your kids’ menu.

OK, the outside deck is nice, but that’s about it. The food is just plain bad. Pasta was soggy and eggplant was tasteless. This place appears to be popular with the kosher crowd, which I guess keeps it going. If they had to compete on their merits, I can’t see a reason to eat here.

This review is for catering. We had our son’s bris catered by this venue and the service was excellent, the owner was in touch with us the whole time and followed up to see how everything went. She was flexible and attentive to our needs and we got an immeasurable amount of food for an extremely reasonable price. There were large quantities of various wraps, sandwiches, paninis, pizza, coffee, tea, all sorts of sweets, etc. We were very pleased with the value of this place and service and delivery.

I love this place! There bakery is truly world class, you must try there chocolate mousse cake with berries, there croissants, there chocolate croissants, there challah? There babka, there jelly doughnuts, there rolls, there Napoleon, there rugelach, and there almond biscotti. I love there food as well, my personal favorite is not on the menu(ask for the Gonzalo salad). There poached eggs florentine, potato pancakes, omelette, fish and soups are all great. Most of the waiters and waitresses are lovely people and the staff is really like one big family. The owners Kenny and kochava are wonderful people who put a lot of live into everything they do. The new pizza place next door is very good. Keep up the excellent work!!!

I am Jewish, but just let me say my Jew knowledge does not extend to this restaurant’s level. The bread was fabulous, just perfect. Now, to cut to the food. I tried the grilled vegetable panini with French fries. The panini was incredibly oily. I was eating out side, it was rather cold. We asked this guy to turn on the heating posts but he couldn’t get them to light. It was cold, and the service was as slow as a turtle. 2 stars because of these cons.

Not bad if you know what to order — the Mediterranean platter is pretty good and the pastries are very very good. Ice cream is Haagen Daz. Soups are usually tasty. Omelets are good. Coffee is variable — I usually stick to an espresso. I don’t like their pasta dishes or their salad dressings but greens are fresh and veggies good. Food is low sodium — need to add salt to most of it.

Very good food. A bunch of the salads have really good and interesting mixes of ingredients. I’ve only tried about four things, and they were all very good quality and very tasty.

Worst in Riverdale! The food is bad, and the service is worse. JEWSOFRIVERDALE, do yourselves a favor, stop eating at bad restaurants just because they kosher! I keep getting dragged to this place by my in-laws. Today I refused to eat there, and only had coffee(it was cold). My wife left with a stomach ache… Truly a shame!

This place is convenient and satisfies me every time! The Falafal pita sandwich is my all time favorite! The salmon made with olive oil and lemon with brown rice and veggies is also good! They bake their own bread, so it is worth me cheating! My kosher customers love when I pick up something for them from here! Georgia, who has been working here forever –is the best

I believe this is a decent, clean and not so expensive place to go to. People complaint too much, considering that this is not a five star restaurant and this place is in my view like a family restaurant with home made food. The prices are fair and the ambience is cozy and lovely. Will come back !!!

This place moved to 3718 Riverdale Ave, a couple of blocks East from the old location. Have not visited enough to give a comprehensive review, but did have two very good experiences: espresso and apple crumb cake on location, and a dinner(Mediterranean platter appetizer and grilled salmon main dish) as delivery. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was really good. Will definitely go back for more.

While knowledgeable about Kashruth and the foods of Jewish communities around the world, I am not always the biggest fan of kosher restaurants. However, a very close friend of mine is. On several times we have had dinner here. The atmosphere is not a fine dining experience nor the funky dive type experience. The staff is young and not professional in the least. But… the food is decent and pleasant tasting and the portions are certainly substantial. Compared to most other kosher establishments, the prices are reasonable. This is a dairy/non meat establishment. Good cold gazpacho, vegetarian lasagna… and really good kosher cakes. For me, most kosher bakeries cannot present good tasting cakes.(well.coffee cakes, babka, danish, marble cake excluded)…but this place has really good dessert cakes… try the chocolate mousse cake(it was served a little too cold, but let it sit for a while until it is room temperature… delish!) Oh…yeah it is in Riverdale. Is that the Bronx… or lower Westchester?

This is just the kind of place at gives kosher restaurants a bad name. The food is overpriced. The shakshuka, is, in fact, not shakshuka. It’s poached eggs in tomato sauce. Which isn’t to say it’s terrible, but… My bagel and cream cheese with tomatoes, onions, and cucumber, came with enough cucumber and tomato to *almost* cover one half of the bagel. Other people have said their coffee was good, and the latte I tasted was fine, but my iced decaf, unfortunately obviously poured hot over ice, was terrible. I get embarassed about sending things back, so I generally don’t, but in retrospect this really was bad enough to send back. The real clincher was that when I went in, I asked one of the nice workers/bus boys for a business card(tarjeta). Unsure where they were, he turned the the old woman who was currently running the place, Edith(who I’m told is the mother-in-law of the owner) who promptly held up her hand in the rudest«stop» gesture you can imagine, palm out, and yelled, «not now! I’m BUSY!» Um… too busy for a paying customer? Screw you too, then. This was not your typical New Yorker obnoxiousness, this was rudeness at its worst. Do NOT come here.
