I really don’t have any complaints about this DSW. It is a rather large store located in Co-​op City and they always have a great selection of shoes to choose from… Whether it be flats or sneakers or heels or sandals… Their selection is very wide & I love it lol the store is always clean and the staff is usually very friendly. No complaints here!

lol, the employees here nonexistent and incompetent. I walked in, no one greeted me, no security guard. I was in the store for about an 45 mins at no time did anyone approach me to ask if I needed assistance. I can’t even remember seeing any employees.
The line was moving so slow at check-​out, ridiculously slow. Once I get to the register the girl snatches my shoes without saying anything and starts to scan away. I don’t say anything and just stare at her, then she says, your total is… I say to her, well had you not snatched away the shoes you would have known that I am actually making a return and exchanging another. She starts again with the rushing now. I have a receipt in my hand and she ignores the fact that the sneakers I just gave her I was exchanging and again she charges me. I’m annoyed at this point because now she wants to rush and she’s acting all ditsy. I explain it slowly that I was making an exchange.
Their shoe selection is small and sucks.

The store is clean and the shoes are neatly placed on the shelves. The appearance of the store is what made me give it a try. I wasn’t there for myself I was there to help my bff find shoes. So we walked through one aisle and a pair of shoes caught my attention. Then I said let’s find a clutch. She found one immediately that complimented her shoes. As we were about to ring out Damien (cashier) asked had we gone upstairs and checked out the other shoes? I said no we found what we’re looking for! He insisted we check it out. So we went upstairs and found a pair of pumps for me that complimented the two clutches we both picked up. I felt like it was a match made in heaven. Great buy.
No sales person in sight I had to keep harassing security.
I did thank Damien on my way out.

I never truly have an enjoyable experience at this particular location compared to others that I frequent. The staff is not exactly helpful nor professional. My sister and I have had quite a few negative experiences and although the manager was able to more than rectify the issue, we’ve continued to encounter times that we just regretted entering the doors altogether.
They have a decent variety of clearance items but for some reason, I just don’t care for the layout. I would never venture to Bay Plaza with the intent on every shopping here; it would have to be by happenstance, that I was just in the neighborhood.

Wow, Im shocked at the poor reviews. The store isn’t that big so the selection of shoes won’t be as large. However, the sales associates were very friendly and helpful. The clearance rack which is usually the first area I’m checking out was decent and clean. Extra points because I found my god daughter two pair of shoes for school in clearance for $ 35. woo hoo, lol. I was impressed there weren’t shoes all over. They had bathrooms and they were also very clean. This is a store I would definitely frequent again when I’m in the area.

The selection in this location is very limited. When I asked if they carry wide widths, I was told to look within the aisles because they may «hidden among the regular shoes» I looked through every aisle and didn’t see one wide width of any size. Their customer service is horrible.
