I needed carpet to be installed in the entrance of my house which involved 12 steps so I hired Riley’s Carpet for this job. The owner and his brother in-law came to do the job and boy what a lousy job they did. I was told that they were going to put padding underneath the rug and I found out that they did not. In addition, upon installing the carpet they broke a tile in my kitchen while removing the saddle. The work looks like a handyman’s job and not a professional. The owner promised me that he was going to give me new saddle but he never did. I tried to call several times but the owner ignored my calls. I am disappointed with the quality and work that did.

My wife and I contracted with Riley’s Carpets to remove carpet in our master bedroom, and to install flooring. During the process of ordering the flooring, Riley’s was consistently late and sluggish, showing up late for estimating appointments and for the actual installation. As a result, the flooring was not completed until a full week after the date we’d agreed on. Topping it all off — and most egregiously — Riley’s did a job that could charitably be called unprofessional. When the wood slats came slightly higher than our closet and bedroom doors, the installers simply sawed off the bottoms of the doors, with no effort to plane them down or to cover up their butchering. When we complained, they did a slapdash patch-up job on the closet door, adhering a thin plastic strip to the bottom; it held up for less than a week. Repeated complaint calls were not returned or acknowledged. To this day the two doors in our bedroom look like they were in some sort of disaster, and do not close properly. This company is a bastion of incompetence. Stay away from them.
