So many great things to say about my meal there. Went back about 3 weeks ago, on a Friday night. Decided to try things beyond basic tuna rolls or tempura. They have a seaffod salad, called the Kani salad. Artistic plate, tasted even better. Quality crabmeat shredded with cucumbers, with the dressing was a great plate to share (no share by me, too tasty. Had a house sushi roll (dragon) that was rich, crunchy, and a little spicy all at same time. Bananas deep fried with ice cream! Glad i still left room for dessert Even gyoza a notch above many other places-​sauce for these delicate starters was excellent. If only closer to home. This place is a secret value-​You must go!

the sashimi quality really isn’t the best. the only piece i could tolerate from the sushi sashimi combo was the salmon since it gave off a little flavor at least. the others must not be too fresh cuz they just tasted bland.

I ordered take out tonight it was fresh arrived quickly and satisfied my craving. I will say it is a few more dollars then other sushi restaurants I have ordered from but around the same ball park

My dad and I were so impressed by the Sushi here! The fish was very fresh! Of course, the place was nice and clean! We definitely would be back soon!

I ordered some late night yum yum this Friday. Around 9 pm, I was craving sushi so I ordered from the only place I would buy from in the Bronx (Sugi Sushi, formerly Oishi). Usually, I just get shrimp & avocado rolls but I wanted to venture out.
So I bought one shrimp & avocado roll, the volcano roll (rather large, you might want to cut it in half if you’re small like me), the spicy white tuna roll and the Boston roll! It was my first time trying the volcano roll and it was delicious despite how large in size the pieces are, the Boston roll was amazingly refreshing since they use lettuce. I shared with my best friend, and we were full and satisfied!
I recommend them all, oh so yummy and perfect for when you’re not in the mood for raw fish.

I ordered through Seamless. The delivery came before the scheduled time given. My order looked amazing and tasted great. I had the Chicken Katsu Box. Very happy with everything!

I eat here at least once a week… I love the sushi… Great place great prices…

I ordered one order of calamari, 1 order of fried shrimp dumplings and one order of pork dumplings not to mention two orders of French fries for my friend and I total =27.90 this was the worst food that I have ever ordered in my life, the fries were soaking with oil and they weren’t even cooked, (I kid you not) the calamari wasn’t even calamari it looked like it was spoiled. The Calamari looked suspicious I took the little bit of bread crumbs that was hanging off of it off and I find something that looks like a octopus testicle. How can they ruin my favorite appetizer!!! the shrimp dumpling taste like mystery meat the only thing that I could eat were the pork dumplings and it’s only cause I was starving and they were the only thing edible. !!!I Hate You Sugi Sushi !!!
Andddddddd they took an hour to deliver ! The place is only 8 mins in a car from my house !!! I tipped him this place should be shut down!!! Im calling the health department on this disgusting worthless establishment (my fucking stomach hurts) can I sue them?

I was here about a week ago. I actually enjoyed it. Not sure if Sushi falling apart means that it is fresh? But the food wasn’t bad. I especially enjoyed the Ginger Chicken (Chicken Shogayaki) not sure of the spelling. The seafood teriyaki wasn’t that great, it tasted a bit like soap dish water. The fried rice was good (beef and shrimp). Also had the (udon), stir fry shrimp noodles; very filling, felt as if they were expanding in my stomach. The noodles were really thick and tasty. The waitress was very nice. The place was clean. It was a pleasant experience. Will definitely eat here again.

Went to Sugi Sushi after being recommended to go there by my fiancé and the food is great. Waitress was great and the place was clean. The sushi was great and the dessert was amazing. Gotta try the fried cheese cake its amazing.

The only advice I’ll give, is to not come here at all. Although there aren’t many sushi spots in the Bronx, I’d recommend going for good quality sushi rather then a place that gives you food poisoning.
With that being said, back to the review.
The service was horrible. There was only one other table that was seated in the restaurant (should’ve got the clue to leave then) and the waitress was rude and impatient. She did not even bother checking on me and my boyfriend.
The food was even worse. The miso soup was cold. The salad dressing that was thrown on top of the salad smelled and looked like it was spoiled. We barely touched either. The sashimi was definitely NOT fresh, and the sushi was falling apart.
Instantaneously after our meal, we both felt sick. But when we arrived home. It was official. We both got food poisoning.
Point is, save your money and your stomach.

Started at 4 stars, with my kani salad, and spicy tuna & spicy salmon rolls, but then I went for a third small roll. The Philadelphia roll was supposed to have salmon, avocado, and cream cheese. It looked nothing like the picture (big surprise) but there was so much cream cheese, I ended up digging half of it out with my chop stick. There was also only a very thin layer of salmon. Despite the other elements being delicious, this soured my experience for the whole meal.

This is a really good sushi spot. I never had a problem and it is good for dine in, take out and delivery. Some of the best tasting sushi! My #1 spot in the bronx.

«The food is really excellent in this place. But there customer service is awful. First they do not deliver to your door. They expect you to leave the comfort of your home and go outside. Now if that wasnt bad they charge you $ 2 for delivery and the delivery guy said to me, „No tip.“ I had to get dressed to come outside and he asked for a tip. Upon me telling him that I left my wallet inside. He walks away and says, „F@ck you.“ So I am going to call the restaurant I figured I would leave the review first.»

I finally tried sushi for the first time today and I chose this spot because it’s close to home and it sounded decent based on prior reviews. I LOVED it. I ordered it to go but I still enjoyed it. It was so fresh and flavorful. I had the spicy scallop roll and since everyone loved the beauty roll, I tried that as well. I definitely will be making this one of my favorite go to food spots

I had lunch here with mother. We ordered soups a sweet and sour and vegetable dumpling both were tasty. We shared the Beauty roll which is served in the shape of a heart. I can’t wait to go back for another beauty roll! Service was efficient and attentive. The sushi chef was nice and thanked us for our business. Gratitude is sexy!

Pretty good for Bronx sushi!!! I ordered through Unilocal.It was ready on time for pick up. I had two special sushi rolls. The fish was fresh and the rice was good. Definitely a good choice for sushi!

All their sushi and combo platters are off the chain (awesome). Place is small but really nice.

Over priced.
I would order in from here once a week until i realized i was wasting my money. I wouldn’t even finish my meals. I always order the spicy salmon, and it never came with the spicy mayo sauce. So i started telling them on the phone to make sure the sauce is put on, but it still came with no sauce!!! find another place to go to.
