Had a pleasant day at the Garden and was excited to try out their new Stephen Starr pop-​up restaurant. The new team of caterers has taken over the Visitor Center Café to produce a beautiful and tasty dining venue. No longer a grab-​n-​go café, the new sleek and modern Japanese themed establishment is a nice option. Great service and tasty options. We spent a little over an hour at the restaurant and had a relaxing time on the patio. Each dish has several pieces and the food is delivered as it is ready. There is a constant flow of food and between the four of us we tried 8 menu options including tempura vegetables, dumplings, sushi, and a short rib entrée. A bit more expensive than the traditional Garden Café fare but TOTALLY WORTH IT.
