Thursday afternoon and we were in Da Bronx, for a concert later that evening. We walked in and were promptly greeted and taken to a table by waiter. The place showed it’s age but everything was clean and organized. He asked what we would like to drink, gave us menus and we said two diet cokes. Within 10 seconds he brought two glasses with ice and two cans of diet coke. We looked at the extensive diner menu, as well as a Mexican food menu and decided to go classic diner. We ordered the lumberjack breakfast and the Monte Crisco with a side of fries. During the wait, we were entertained by the next table over that had 3(assuming college students) who were discussing their first world problems, their lack of understanding of the world outside their dorm room. As well as making a mess and needing the waiter’s help to clean up their spills. The Monte Crisco sandwich was good but it didn’t have any seasoning. It was well proportioned and the fries were crinkle cut, crispy, hot and good but no salt. The lumberjack was perfect stack of 3 pancakes, there was a cooked slice of deli ham under the pancakes, 3 sausage links and lots of bacon(little over cooked) 2 scrambled eggs. The waiter was attentive and very quick to check on us, extra napkins, refills and such. So much good food, worth the money. We plan on coming back. Everything is little dated but that tells you they have been doing it right for years.

Oh, Webster Café. I love you more with each passing day. That’s not a super helpful review, but you can look at my older reviews for this place to get«better» feedback. I continue to be so happy that this place is just good home-cooked food. Dishes I love: 1. Farmer’s omelette 2. Steak tips and rice(a special on Wednesday, I want to say.) 3. Cemitas(awesome sandwich on the Mexican food menu) 4. Caesar salad(not your typical Caesar – gigantic bowl with onions and peppers, grilled chicken, and homemade croutons) Thanks for being you, Webster’s!

I mean it’s a diner. As a Fordham Student I always forget about it because it is on the other side of campus, but the food is not bad. The prices aren’t terrible and the menu is extensive especially since they added the mexican food menu for the place next door.

Food was better than I expected it to be. Place doesn’t look too clean, you can tell it’s definitely been open for a decade or so; it’s not the most modern of places. Staff was very nice, menu is what you would find at a diner. After a day at the botanical garden if you’re hungry and don’t want to go to the generic subway a few doors down stop in here. They also have a Mexican food menu.

Been coming here since I was a child. Great Spanish food, hamburgers and milkshakes. They deliver and are fast. However I recently ordered the lemonade and it was nothing short of horrible! It had a really bad aftertaste so I would stay clear of it.

I love their Hispanic coffee, a must try. The staff is great and very friendly. I mostly go for breakfast and the food is good and service is quick but make sure you go and try the Hispanic coffee with cinnamon.

Good diner to stop in and get breakfast, even lunch. The employees are all very nice and the prices are affordable. Try the Belgian waffle it’s one of my favorite things to have there.

Good breakfast spot. I like their home fries better than the Bedford Park Café since they don’t have weird bell pepper chunks in them. The waitresses are all sweet to me and my boyfriend and I don’t think I’ve had anything bad here(although I don’t think I’ve deviated from 2 eggs sunny side up with corned beef hash and rye toast… sometimes with coffee(which is good) and sometimes without(their OJ is legit Tropicana Pure Premium in a carton… not sour from concentrate crap, yay!)

I think you have to be Spanish to get served here. We sat down and immediately felt unwelcome and it took the waitress over five minutes to acknowledge us. There were 3 other tables that already had their food so her being busy could not be an excuse. The waitress sarcastically commented that we were in a hurry when she got to us. The food was unremarkable but the crappy attitude of the staff I will never forget. I wish I could give this place no stars.

Aside from the fact that I love their salads this place has failed me many times. If u call after 8:40 they will not answer the phone. I once ordered something around 8pm and specifically asked for ranch dressing and was given Cesar so when I tried to call back for what I ordered they did not answer. I’m pretty sure they saw my name on the caller ID and didn’t bother. Even tried to call the delivery guy since he called me when he was downstairs and no answer. Today I called several times and no answer but when I called private miraculously my call was answered and was told it was busy but my order was delivered within 10mins. Not only was the food ridiculously dry and I seriously felt like it was something that had been made probably an hour before but I something was missing from my order and at that point I didn’t even want to bother since they probably would have ignored my calls again. I am so over this place and their poor service. The diner by Jerome has never done this to me. Out of the 3 diners on Bedford park this place is the worst!

New waitress is nice. Deliver is not accurate the owners are rude when having to correct a problem not customers friendly the customer is always right if they remember that they would have more business I eat here if I have to but I rather walk to Jerome. Bad manners

Not bad! Decent diner-style breakfast served all day. My wife liked her toasted grilled cheese sandwich. Good coffee with refills. Clean. Friendly service. Low prices. Would readily go back on return trips to the nearby NY Botanical Gardens.

Once in awhile we stop here for breakfast which is pleasant, typical diner food. And on those lazy days they’ll also deliver in a timely manner. They are accommodating when you request for a substitution on their menu.

The food here is not bad. If there is nothing else to eat then this is not a bad place to go to.

From the outside, this café looks like one of those last minute diners you go to when there’s nothing much left and your standards are so low that you just hope whatever you order is edible. This was my thought process coming in and coming out I was more than satisfied. Like most others, I stopped by here before going to the Botanical Gardens. Relatively empty save for a couple of diners, ordered a tuna salad sandwich on rye with a chocolate milkshake(odd cravings). Sandwich was hearty, with big scoops of salad — toasted perfectly. Classic pickle slice was a nice touch. The milkshake was large and thick, but was able to finish it without killing the straw. Service is excellent and has that homely feel to it. Not to mention the meal(considering how big it was) came to $ 11, which was pretty damn cheap. I would never make a special trip to come here, but it’s a great option if you’re hungry in the area.

We had a chicken wrap which was okay, buffalo wings which were really tiny and not too much chicken. They were under $ 6 bucks as an appetizer so we went for them. The mozzarella sticks were okay, as long a you eat them as soon as they are served. After 5min the cheese got really hard. The Spanish Coffee, Fresh OJ and our waitress Wanda were great! Food, you get what you paid for because the prices are cheap. So 3 stars for food but 5 STaRs for the service and drinks we had! :)

Great family owned diner. I’ve been going here with my family for close to ten years and always feel so welcomed. My favorite chef is the morning one — he sure knows how to add the latin seasoning to almost every meal. The entire staff is awesome!!!

I moved to this area about 4 – 5 years ago– I must say it’s gotten worse. I ordered food recently but had it delivered. For some unknown reason the quality of the food has gotten worse! Avocado looked old the cheese tasted like cheap cheese. I started to feel like the soup they sent me was brought at the family dollar next door and sent to me to eat by Webster Café. All there prices on there ordering out menu are false. When they wrung me up for having two grill cheeses & tomato w/avacodo-5 $ each sandwich using american sliced bread. The soup was 2 – 3 $ and rice pudding was so watered down I couldn’t eat it. cup of ice 1 $ and two bottles of apple juice was 2 $ each came out to 20 $ for some unknown reason. Way too much money for items that tasted close to garbage. If you want to spend a lot of money for waste eat here. If you wanna save yourself from bad food quality-eat somewhere else lol Webster Café sucks!!! sorry :(
