Bella Caffé

Great location but terrible coffee.

Great breakfast fare, lunch sandwiches and soups. And, of course, the coffee is great, too! More personal touches than your run of the mill coffeehouse’s. Service is a little slower, but worth it.

Met at Bella Caffe for morning coffee with some girlfriends to discuss and upcoming trip. Loved that they had a large table next to a window to enjoy the sunshine. I ordered the blueberry oatmeal w cream and it was very yummy! One had a croissant egg sandwich which looked delicious. We all enjoyed our coffee. Service was exceptional, very kind & friendly. I also had a homemade chai that was perfect. My girlfriends latte was very pretty! The soup selection looked amazing and would have considered getting one to go but i was too stuffed from the oatmeal.
The disappointment was the lack of sparkle. The menus were dingy, some of the signs were discolored or marred, the placards to signify the garbage & recycling were dirty. All of this could have been easily replaced or cleaned. It seemed like a lack of pride in appearance.
So, i would return, to try the soups or have a cup of coffee but hope the owner will have put greater care into the appearance of the caffe. Very rarely do i give a 5 star. Not even Colectivo has that yet…

Driving from Chicago at 6 am to teach in Brookfield is not always the greatest; however, finding Bella was a pleasant surprise.
Ample seating.
$ 2 Dark Roasts.
Friendly staff.
Whenever traffic is lighter, I will definitely stop in for some pre-​class caffeination!

BELLA’S NEWEST LOCATION IN SENDIK’S TOWNE CENTRE.
PRE: I wasn’t familiar with Bella’s Third Ward location until I did the research for this review. I actually intended to Café Manna but they are not open on Sundays. My dining partner saw a colorful smoothie poster on Bella’s window so we gave it a try.
ORDERED: An Acai Blueberry smoothie (which when I ordered as ««Ah-​Sigh-​EE» the high school aged worker was quick to «correct» my pronunciation to «uhh-​kie». I didn’t have the energy to correct his correction. Also ordered a Rice Krispy treat, bag of potato chips and a pumpkin bar.
TASTED: The smoothie was for my dining partner and she RAVED at how good it was. I ate the baked goods and as usual they are always better when someone else makes them. A nice afternoon pit stop was had at Bella Caffé.
