Very run down. No outside food was allowed but the«café» was closed. We had to eat chips through the vending machines. When my wife went to get food elsewhere and bring it back, they made us take it outside. My daughter and I ate outside while the rest of our group bowled without us. What made it worse is how the«cashier» came outside the front and smoke a cigarette in front of the main doors. A nice sight to see while eating. GROSS. Overpriced. Horrible atmosphere. Definitely will not be returning.

This bowling alley had a better bar area than other bowling alleys in the area… there was a pool table($ 1/game) and an electronic shuffleboard game, which was really fun! Beers weren’t priced horribly($ 4.50 for higher end drafts) and the bartender was really personable! The bathroom in the bar was kept way neater than the ones out in the bowling alley. There wasn’t a great selection of bowling balls — most were around the same weight(on the heavier side) and size; either really small holes or holes were too far apart.

The three stars is rendered because this place is a blast from the past, not because of the ball options or cleanliness. Reasonable prices on bowling and alcoholic drinks. My husband was not happy with the bowling ball options and cleanliness. But, it is a bowling alley! Grime is part of the experience. This is a smoke free environment and I did not smell much or any smoke remnants from the old days when smoking was allowed. There is a cool old school food counter. It was cute. I am gluten-free, but do not expect a small bowling alley to accommodate me. Don’t get me wrong, this place isn’t a five star establishment, but it is a cool place that reminds me of days of past. The restrooms do need a strong, strong clean. Great, clean fun for a reasonable price.

We love bowling but this is one place we will not patron again. The place is rundown. The bathrooms were disgusting, they all had mold in them and looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in months. They also regulate who can use what size balls and only children under 8yrs old can use bumpers. If I have a 10yr old who’s learning to bowl, bumpers and a light ball would be nice.

Really enjoy bowling here. Nice lanes, not too expensive and not very crowded. Clean and hours are good.

Brookfield Lanes is a staple in the Greater Danbury area. Not only can you go and bowl on your own, there are leagues here that have been in constant motion since the early 1960s. While these leagues haven’t been at Brookfield for all those years, it is their home now. Since the last time that I was here, the rugs have all been replaced and it looks like all the lockers have been redone. They even made over the small arcade area. There is a small bar within the bowling alley and a food counter with every kind of snack that you could want while bowling. There seems to be some kind of special almost any night of the week, and if you keep an eye on the bowling alley’s FB page, there are special offers that I’ve seen there as well. All in all, Brookfield is a great place to go bowling. They offer programs for kids as well as adults, and do a few charity style events throughout the year.

This place has changed since the previous review. We have a great time eveytime we go. They have specials almost every night & some during the day. I’m thinking of having a party there and I’m no spring chicken haha. Really is a nice place to go.

Bowling shoes are $ 4.50, Emphysema is on the house.(a2k). Thats the way it used to be here at Brookfield Lanes. Now, you cant smoke here, but if you squint– and turn your head just so. you can still see the smoke rings in the air– This is where I had my best game(246) and my worst break-up, Suzie Rubinawitz-Stein. I cant say anything bad about this place– its a bowling alley in North-west CT, and its what you would expect. I came in 2nd place in a father-son league here once b.c. my Dad came drunk and injured from a Motorcycle accident and bowled a really low 1st week average-setting his handicap really high. To this day when in a bowling bind, i ask myself, WWMD, What Would Marty Do. Marty– the old front desk gentleman with a raspy voice
