Stopped in this restaurant on a freezing night and found the place to be packed with diners enjoying a busy, happy buzz. We shared guacamole, which was very good if standard issue. I had the Enchiladas Banderas, which is usually a safe choice, and was not disappointed. Our party of three enjoyed our meals. Everything was freshly prepared and obviously made with quality ingredients. I will try some of the specials next time in hope of having something more«authentic» but we really had no complaints. Service was friendly and professional, and we were allowed to linger over coffee without feeling rushed. Prices are fair. Recommended.

I am so happy for having found this place. I had given up going in any Mexican restaurant in the Danbury/Brookfield area, but finally there is a really good restaurant in our area. Super nice decoration, great service, and the food was really really good. I recommend Hacienda to everyone!

This place needs to turn the heat on, it is always FRIGID in there. They also don’t turn the lights on during the day. Like seriously how cheap can you be? Their food is decent(salsa is great) but atmosphere and comfortability needs improvement.

Went here with family and everyone enjoyed their meals. The salsa was very good, a bit oniony, and the chips were also good. The rice and beans are good quality. The service is prompt and attentive. Portions are generous. For dessert we had the churros. Churros can often be boring and tasteless. These were quite good! Décor is clean and bright. This is now our go-to spot for Mexican food in the East Danbury/Brookfield area!

Went here for the first time yesterday with my husband, and it was really good! We got the guacamole, and they make it right at the table for you. It was good! On the chunkier side, though; so if you don’t like it that way, be advised. The salsa was great, and the chips were warm and crispy. I give this restaurant 4 stars because the menu is INCREDIBLY limited! I have never seen such a limited menu at a Mexican restaurant before, and there’s not many a la carts options, either. If they added another page(at least), and lowered their prices(the guacamole was a bit pricey IMO), this would be a 5 star. The interior is nice, and clean. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

We love this friendly restaurant and cozy little bar. Excellente Cadillac margaritas(made with fresh lime juice, not sugary mix), and muy bueno guacamole(made-to-order). Consistent service & great food.

Dinner choices were different than the usual Mexican. We started with the appetizer for two which included nachos, chimichangas, taquitos, quesadilla and tacos. I always wonder why something offered for two would have two to four of everything except for three of the best tasting item(tacos). For dinner I had one of the specials, a spinach and chicken enchilada with spinach sauce along with rice and beans. The beans were excellent, tasted great and had a smooth mouth feel. The chicken was very dry and there was a scant amount of spinach. For dessert I ordered flan, which was dry and burnt — very disappointing. It was just OK, but I don’t think I’ll be back. I much prefer El Coyote right across the street.

Happy I discovered this gem and definately don’t have to travel far anymore for Mexican. Easily the best around. They’ve only been open for 5 months I think, and I hope they’re here to stay because they deserve it. I’ve been in the industry for 17 years, Hacienda is fantastic, and I’ll be back very soon. Service could not have been more pleasant. Everyone checked on us. Everyone, so nice. Chef really knows what he’s doing here.

I was here under the old management and found it kind of «meh». When I heard it had been taken over by the Fiesta Mexicana/Las Maninitas people I was excited to try it because I love those places but hate the schlep to Brewster. Danbury needs a good Mexican place. Not disappointed. Margaritas awesome. Food awesome. Service awesome. Had the special Huaraches. Very flavorful. Their guacamole is made at the table and super tasty just like the other places. To top it off they have an amazing dessert caked the Bunjelo which is fried dough, ice cream and apples. Omg. My husband had the flan which he loved. If you tried it under the old régime please come back. You will not be disappointed.

My girlfriend and I wanted to try a new place in her town so we tried out Hacienda one night. As we walked in I told her the waiter seemed very familiar. When I opened the menu it looked identical to that of Fiesta Mexicana in Brewster, a Mexican restaurant we love and frequent. Turns out this is a new place owned and ran by the same people who own and run Las Mananitas and Fiesta Mexicana… both two extremely popular places with excellent food and service. And we were not surprised when we recieved the same quality food and service at Hacienda Don Manuel. The best place about these places are thee guacamole(best I’ve ever had) and the good quality and reasonably priced food. My favorites are the Chicken Tacos and Chicken Enchilladas. The Azteca Chicken at Las Mananitas is also great, too bad they don’t offer it at either Fiesta or Hacienda. If I’m not getting the guacamole as an appetizer(which is rare), I’m getting the super nachos. So far it seems Hacienda Don Manuel has a slow start, as I heard the old place at this location had a bad reputation. Which is nice for now, as it’s always a crapshoot getting a table at their other places in Brewster. Hopefully for them, the foot traffic picks up!(Hopefully for us, it stays moderate for the time being) Truthfully, I’d give this place a 4.5 for overall quality and service. But as that is not an option and it is a favorite, it’s getting 5 stars!

The minute we entered the rich mahogany doors, an overwhelming aroma of hot tomatillo filtered through the nostrils. The kind gentleman who seated us proceeded to prepare the finest guacamole these two eyes have ever seen. I could tell he was young, but not too young. He asked my name… I stayed silent. We gazed into each other’s eyes for what felt like hours, and he somehow knew exactly what I wanted. I’m not saying that the waiters have telepathic powers, but something about that night was purely magical.

Awesome restaurant. Service was excellent as well as the food. My husband had the skirt steak while I had the osso bucco. Very flavorful dish. So far my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Danbury area. Place is very large with plenty of seating. Cute bar area too. I will definitely come back and bring some friends along to enjoy this place.

The food here is excellent and very fresh. We watched as they made fresh guacamole right in front of us. The waitstaff was pleasant and attentive. The coconut margaritas were better than any other place I’ve had them in the area! I highly recommend you think of Hacienda Don Manuel next time you’re in the mood for Mexican. You won’t be disappointed! I know I’ll be back!

Yuck is all I can say! The chimichangas were mushy and the rest of the food just gross. The guacemole was disgusting. I’ll never go back. Biggest waste of money. We are very disappointed.

My boyfriend and I went here last night after hearing it is the same owners from our favorite Fiesta Mexicana in Brewster. The décor, food and service was great! We ordered 2 items of the specials menu which was some of the freshest and tastiest food I’ve had. Also, decided to do a ½ pitcher of margarita which was perfect for 2 people. Will definitely be coming back! Also, I did hear that the owners(from Fiesta Mexicana) took this restaurant over just 6 weeks ago from the Mexican restaurant that opened 4 or 5 months ago due to the original ownership failing. So, any reviews greater than 6 weeks ago were probably due to the previous ownership, even though the restaurant name is still the same.

Had dinner with my family(seven people). All of us loved it, specially the guacamole which was made in front of our eyes, it was so good. I had Enchiladas Cancun stuffed with shrimp and topped with vegetables, exelent!, I also tried the Chile relleno and pollo con mole, delicious. The salsa very good, we had some very good margaritas with our meal. Definitely this is one of my new favorite places.

Pleasantly surprised. Excellence food and service. We had fajitas which were cooked perfectly and the best I have ever had. The portions were more than plenty. Good atmosphere and nice Mexican ambiance.
