never give 5 star reviews but… WOW!!! this place is 1 of the best Spanish spots ever. Kind of bites off of Chipotle but MUCHMUCHBETTER! Food is amazingly fresh. Tried many items and all good! Service great and now I am a regular!

I love going here for lunch! Staff is very friendly and attebtive, sodas are by Boylan instead of the big brand although you can get coke in a glass bottle. Food always looks and tastes fresh. Used to be a Chipotle girl but once I went to Salsa Fresca I stopped. I rather support a more local establishment that doesn’t have health scares.

Stopped in because of the Unilocal reviews. We’re huge Mexican fans, so we had to try it. Found a new favorite after one visit. The space is clean, bright and industrial decorated with images of fresh ingredients from the menu. I love the contrast. We were greeted and helped quickly. Service was friendly and cheerful. Love that, too. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla. My mate got the Red Hot Acapulco burrito. We added a side of guacamole to go with the complimentary chips and salsa. Great choices, all. Chicken was tender, buffalo sauce was hot enough to burn but the tasty ranch cooled it quickly. The burrito was hot as well, deep slow heat from the delicious sweet chipotle salsa and up front fire of the jalapeños. The guacamole is top tier, IMO. Unlike Chipotle and Moe’s(both of which have their own places to shine) Salsa Fresca seems to have mastered the add ins to the avocado without overdoing it. 10⁄10 We also love that you can get just sliced avocado(for $ 1.25) on your food. We’ll be back. :)

Chicken burrito was really good. I am a huge salsa fan and not only eat salsas, but make great salsa at home. The salsa that comes with the chips tastes like it has cinnamon in it. Definitely not a spice I would ass to salsa for it to taste good. I even asked my fiancé to try it and he agreed it tastes like cinnamon. Thankfully I was eating at home, I ended up throwing it away and eating my home made salsa with the chips instead.

Ok at first opening this review would have been a 5 star. love it here. However, if you have food issues like me, they have gotten terribly sloppy. they are happy to change their gloves but use the same lettuce that had«old glove hands» in it(defeats the purpose totally) I also have noticed cheese in the salsas this is just not ok. My husband loves it here but Im no longer able to go because Im afraid to get sick. I prefer Salsa Fresca to Chipotle but their better food handling practices and non-gmo options have forced me to drive all the way to the darn mall just to not get sick!(They will bring out fresh bins of what I order for you if you tell them you have allergies:) at Chipotle –without you having to ask them to! If Salsa Fresca could at least tighten up their practices Id be here all the time!

Great food! The staff was so helpful, especially the Manager named Sarah. We got there just as it was closing and she still let us get some food and even let us stay in to eat it! Food was very good, especially the taco bowl. Definitely recommend this friendly place!

Went back recently picked up a shredded beef and a chicken burrito for my brother and I along with an order of kids chicken tacos for my niece and nephew. Both burritos were top notch and the kids cleaned their plates! Plus at 530 in the evening I was in and out in less than 10 minutes!

This has become a go to for a quick meal. I’m partial to the bowls to cut down on carbs but the burritos are great to. Both chicken and pork are awesome. Always fresh ingredients. Compares well to Chipolte.

Fast, fresh, delicious and reasonable — what more could you ask for? Like Chipotle or Qdoba, this set up is meant to get you through the door in minutes, so its an excellent weekday lunch option. You can choose your meal as a burrito, bowl, or even over nachos. The ingredients are delicious, and they move fast, but seem patient if you have a question about a salsa, or want to add anything. 2 huge pros: free chips and salsa with every meal, and show your student ID to get a $ 5.36 lunch!(Tax included). Would definitely return!

Ate here twice now, tried the Burrito first time and the Quesadilla the 2nd. You can pick what you want to add to either. I have a feeling whatever you get it would be good. Next time I want try one of their taco bowls, they look great! May I add, excellent customer service and staff!

Absolutely delicious. I went here with my fiancé, he said I would like Salsa Fresca, he was right. Similar to Chipotle but what I noticed was everything tasted fresher(like the sign says). I ordered the shredded beef tortilla bowl with cheese, black beans, a salsa/corn mix, guacamole, and brown rice, everything for the most part was delicious. What I noticed was that the tortilla bowl was a little soggy from the condiments inside which I didn’t care for, they did for some reason give me a side of tortilla chips, I thought that was odd since my bowl was made out of tortilla. The guacamole was roughly the same price as Chipotle’s guacamole which I had expected. The inside of Salsa Fresca was very clean and open, the employees were very friendly. What I didn’t like was the fact that they didn’t have steak and barbecoa, I guess they can’t be just like Chipotle. The location is great, I’m particularly happy with the fact that it’s a closer drive than Cipotle. Definitely going back again.

Great fresh tex mex, reasonable price, fast and friendly manager. Only downfall is sometimes chips are too salty and the salsa can be too spicy at times(the mild version). But the joint is new and getting the hang so over time it will get more consistent. Worth checking out!

Just tried this new spot on Federal Road and LOVEDIT! A wonderful, super fresh alternative to «the other guys» at the mall where the lines stretch out of the restaurant most days. These guys do, however, need to do a lot more advertising & promotion for being a new business. I only saw them driving by and looked up the menu. Similar to Chipotle model of ordering. The shredded beef was braised in a citrus chipotle sauce and was SOGOOD! You can order less than three tacos if you wish. They had very fresh ingredients, and chips come with each meal(pay a tad extra for guac). Also, they had a Boylan’s soda fountain, which was an awesome surprise. Took off one star for: — Employees not overly warm or welcoming. New business should mean the opposite of this. — Like Five Guys, they have those horrible metal chairs that are SOLOUD. Employees should be told not to scrape the floor with them when cleaning. Makes for a really annoying atmosphere when eating. — Guac was really fresh, but needed slightly more of a kick. Love this spot and can’t wait to return!

This place is a wonderfully delicious addition to the area. It’s unusual that you would walk into a place at this and be treated in such a courteous manner. The Health is assertive, knowledgeable and friendly. The food is delicious and for the price, it is a far better choice than the garbage fast food alternatives. I am committed to making this a weekly endeavor.

Service was great everyone was kind and quick but food sucked:/ the shredded beef was sweet… and I mean really sweet with no warning of it on the menu. Also the rice and beans were gross and had like cinnamon or some nutmeg spice in them. I’m sure it’s all corporate recipes but yeh not that good.

I live in Wilton so my boyfriend and I frequent Qdoba in Norwalk and he lives in Brookfield so we sometimes trek to the mall for Chipotle, but never feel like it’s worth it, so we were SO excited when Salsa Fresca opened. We went in with our $ 5 coupon from the News Times(thank you!) and immediately fell in love with the place. We loved the newness and freshness of the place and like the environmental friendly message that the company conveys. The«line» has a great selection and we I went with a «bowl» with half chicken/half rajas(peppers & onions). My boyfriend went with beef and we both had our bowls loaded with tons of fresh stuff including lettuce, pico de gallo, great guac, corn, salsa, jalapenos, rice and beans. We each also got a side of chips and salsa. We opted for fountain sodas(my fave) and they had this interesting brand(Boylan?) which was really delish. I stuck with diet and my boyfriend had the cherry and we really liked it. We met the owner, Mark who is super excited about being in the area and getting involved with the community. They have a great deal for students($ 5 meals — I wish I was a student!) and it sounds like they’ll be doing lots of promos all over the place. Salsa Fresca is EXACTLY what Federal Road needed and we can’t wait until they come out with their«frequent flier» cards — because we will be frequent visitors for sure!

This place is fantastic. Mexican a level above fast food. Friendly staff. Build your own anything with all the toppings you can imagine. Laid out similar to subway but accumulate generous with the toppings. I had a burrito with grilled chicken. Added black bean, red onions, shredded cheese, salsa fresca and guacamole on the side. The thing was huge. Ate half and took the other half home for another meal. Came with tortilla chips and salsa fresca. The chips needed salt. Aside from that I was very satisfied with the place. Clean restaurant, clean restroom, fresh ingredients, friendly staff… I will be back. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Food is pretty good. Similar to Chipotle, select your toppings from a variety of fresh ingredients. You can have a bowl, tacos, burritos or nachos. My husband was disappointed they did not have grilled steak. Only a BBQ brisket type of beef. We liked the queso sauce and loved the sugar cane sodas on tap. I really enjoyed the«HOT» salsa. It was actually hot and took my breath away. Yay!
