Bartenders choose when they wanna close, don’t care about hours posted. The original room is way better.

THISPLACECANONLYBEAPPRECIATEDIFYOUSMOKE. If you value your lungs, and the integrity of your clothes and hair, don’t come there. It is like that scene with Cheech N Chong, when they open the door of the van, in UPINSMOKE, except this place is just disgusting cigarette-based smoke. I really do not get why people chose to visit a place that stinks this badly the food tastes like fking cigarette, but then again, the food… it is nothing noteworthy!

Items I’ve tried: Picked up a side salad, cup of carrot ginger soup, and an order of nan for lunch. The side salad was huge and perfectly alright but nothing special. The lettuce was fresh, and there were mushrooms, tomatoes, baby carrots, red onions, chickpeas, sunflower seeds, and golden raisins included. I was disappointed that there were no sunflower sprouts as listed on the website, but I assume they were out. Tried both the balsamic blue cheese dressing and the grapefruit vinaigrette, and they were both fine but I’d rather just have oil and vinegar. The soup was great and I really enjoyed it with the nan. Vegetarian/Vegan Friendly?: Seems to be really veg friendly. Veggie burger, soup, chili, sides, etc. Service: The bartender was super nice and very professional. Other: Seems like it would be a good place to order fries and drink some beer. I’d go back to this location for that purpose, but probably won’t make it a regular lunch spot.

I can honestly say my first experience here was great. The«Fat Juicy Burger» was exactly that. Honestly no complaints right done to the«onion straws.» I will be back because the beers are well spread and the food seems to be made with care. Nice staff also.

It’s a room and it’s pretty damn righteous. Went here on a whim for the first time last week. Super friendly bar staff whose not afraid to knock one back with you. A regular hangout for a lot of folks and why wouldn’t it be. Drinks are cheap and the have plenty of em! We didn’t eat but everything that came out of the kitchen smelled delicious. Super casual… I recommend starting your night here or finishing it depending. I will definitely be back. Seems like a great place to day drink.

apparently this is the second location and their original location is right off of ponce. now, I’m not sure how busy their first location is, but this«righteous room» is definitely always dead. or at least when I come by, which is usually super late night hours. around 10ish to close(1am), there’s only 2 tables at most. there around about 3 bartenders that I have seen repeatedly. bruce is my favorite and is the one that I always bump into when I am there. but overall, all the bartenders are super friendly and very laid back. the atmosphere is very much catered to adults. I always tend to roll my eyes and deep sigh when I see parents bring their kids in here after dark. the décor consists of old, classy, dark wood with the emphasis of this one huge tree that grows right in the middle of the bar. the lights are dim and the space is pretty small. I did have the chance to try their bar snacks and sandwiches and I can’t say I’m a fan. the food is ‘meh’ and doesn’t make me want to come back here for eating purposes. the only bar snack I would recommend for sobering up are the«salt & vinegar potato wedges». I would say my only reason for returning to this establishment is for the friendly/funny staff and the fact that they are open late.

Neat place that has a tree growing through the middle of it. Drink and food selection are a little in the weak side the service is pretty good.

The bar advertises their beer selection. The beer selection was no greater than any other chain restaurant would have. Service was poor. The tree was cool…

Always good service and music. Not exactly a huge draft or food selection but the food is good. Plus, it has a living tree in the middle of it. Beats Bat and Ball any day of the week. Won’t see any former fratstars working here.

The tree in the middle sets the tone for the whole atmosphere. It’s very laid back but maybe even too laid back. The food service is a little slower then we would have liked but the wings were tasty and well priced.

NPWH. Open on a holiday like Easter. Patio that allows dogs — with water bowls already set out. Just divey enough inside, w/o being Ponce location dark-divey. Good queso and chips(tricolor!) /w no salt needed, and big serving of both. And, I can walk. Awesome sauce, all around.

I hate to say it(maybe I’m getting old) but I like this outpost of the Righteous Room better than the original(I know sacrilege!). Still has the same rock ‘n roll, laid-back, cool vibe of the original, but I don’t have to worry about my shoes/clothes/hair sticking to anything and I can use the bathroom without worrying about catching an STD. Food is spot-on like the original and the drinks are still cheap and strong. Bartenders are friendly. This is going to be my go-to happy hour spot after work.

I didn’t know this bar existed; the only Righteous Room I ever knew was on Ponce. A friend introduced me to this delicious little bar, and I’m glad she did. On the whole, the food and drinks are average. There are no mixologists here and the bar food is not sourced locally. Nothing food or drink related is going to amaze you. What I liked most about this bar is the vibe. It’s a grown-ups bar. And by grown-ups, I mean people who still want to have a drink and chill but don’t feel the need to make a night of it. I also love the curved bar; curved bars feel so much more social than straight ones and not enough bars have them. It’s a small bar, so there is not a lot of space. However they do have a nice patio out front and I noticed a group of about 8 sitting together, so bring your friends. Unilocal 100 #5

Place is very comfy and cool but food is mediocre. Service was great. Nachos had no sauce(we ordered chicken on top). Wings were ok. IPA on tap so that’s a huge plus. Atmosphere was good with a tree growing out of the bar. We would love to return.

I have been to the Righteous Room four times and love the layout with the Magnola tree at the bar. However, each and every visit, the servers were just«going through the motions», not friendly and almost seemed«put out» that we came in. Why have I been back? I appreciate the vegetarian options on the menu, the food is great and the location is in walking distance. My plea to management, refresh with staff that recognizes the paying customer, is happy to be there, and understands that great service = great tip $$.

I’m kind of confused as to why there are so many reviews touting the food as some of the best they’ve had so maybe it was combo of late night + take out that affected my poor chicken sandwich. I really wish I had taken a picture of the sandwich(if it could be called a sandwich) so I guess you’ll just have to use your imagination for the following sandwich prep steps: 1. Take a pita bread and fold it in half. 2. Cook a small chicken breast. 3. Put some sauce on that chicken breast. 4. Put sauced chicken in the middle of the pita bread. 5. Take one tomato slice and put on top of chicken breast. 6. Stick toothpick to keep the pita bread sandwich from overflowing(note the heavy use of sarcasm). 7. Put in metal container next to bland mashed potatoes for consumption. What…why…how…ugh.

The place with the tree stump in the middle of the bar… I found this place on the hunt for somewhere to get slightly intoxicated in a fast amount of time with a decent outside seating area. This place had all of that and more. The bartender was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I got there around 1:48 am and even though they close around 2 am the bartender made sure to offer me some drinks at a fast pace due to the lack of time. He let me continue to enjoy my drinks until 2:30 when he finished cleaning up the bar. I will definitely get inebriated here again!!!

It takes a crafty interior designer to make a strip mall space look like its been open for 10 years when it’s only really been open for a few months… Yup, the ambiance is definitely what you would call«dive-y», not like thats a bad thing … the original Righteous Room in midtown earns that epitaph but it really has been open for(over) 10 years … and being familiar with that incarnation of RR, I was eager to try this one … the addition of the skylights and the tree growing in the middle of the dining room are a cool addition here that you won’t find in midtown however… I decided to try the turkey sandwich after hearing a co-worker(owner, manager etc and blah blah) of a place I work at wax poetic about the sandwich. Now, please understand there are lots of interesting items on the menu… the vegetarian chili sounded good and the veggie burger did as well… and I wish I would have tried those items… Despite what I have heard(and what others have Unilocaled about.) that turkey sandwich turned out to be VERY«meh»… it is served on wheat-y naan bread which is a great change of pace but otherwise there is nothing distinctive enough or interesting enough about this sandwich for me to recommend you trying it…(Actually don’t try it.) My SO had the fish and chips and thought it was fine… There are a lot of items on the menu that sound good so we may be back to try those but that turkey sandwich is not recommended … sorry. There are a few tables outside that tend to be the bastion of smokers and sadly some of that stench tends to blow its way inside… so thats sort if a downfall(besides the turkey sandwich.)

My husband, and 6-month old son checked this place out this weekend for a late lunch. The spot itself is super conveniently located to most things in the Brookhaven area; parking is easy. We were greeted by the lone guy working there, who was awesomely accommodating and helpful. When I was trying to figure out what alcoholic beverage I wanted, he allowed me to come behind the bar to look at what they had in the case. He ended up recommending an orange flavored ginger beer – never had before, but liking cider, I thought this could be up my alley – and it was delightful. When it came to the food, we weren’t expecting much from a bar, but WOW this food is amazing! We got the burger with onion rings and the turkey melt with fries. Both were so tasty that my husband and I swapped bites of each others food. The food was fresh, the veggies were better than any veggies I’ve seen at Publix, and everything was served hot and fast. HIGHLY recommend :)

This place occupies the space formerly held by the now defunct Thai Lana. Moon Indian cuisine is to the right and the cleaners are to the left(if you are facing the front). The bad news is that, as of this writing, they do not have a license to sell alcohol. I was told that would change in a day or two; we shall see. I should point out that until they begin serving booze(when the license takes effect) it is okay to bring your own booze to drink with your food. i did not partake in BYOB but I saw others doing this and it was pointed out by the bartender when I tried to order a beer. The good news is that the food menu is the same as the other location on Ponce. The turkey melt with fries is an absolute delight to have as a dinner /lunch option on this side of town. The tunes playing from the stereo are great, and what you would expect; however, perhaps not as good as the jukebox tunes like you have at the other(Ponce) location. The décor is weird in a kitschy /throwback sort of way; surreal but perhaps a nod /homage to the former occupants of the space(Thai Lana). I am very much looking forward to the time when this place begins serving alcohol. Like the other location, space along the bar will likely be tight(once alcohol materializes). Instead of having a steel support pole blocking a viable spot along the bar(like you have at Ponce) this place has a tree trunk thingy blocking a viable spot at the bar. When they begin serving booze is the time it will become a regular stop for me on my way home from work.
