It’s only out of necessity that I have to come here once or twice a year. It’s not fun, but the staff are nice and do their best. John in the front is awesome! Speak to him if you need to make an appointment or have any needs for help with insurance and such. A private off street parking lot is a real plus on busy Harvard Street. You’ll be here awhile and it’s good not to have to worry about feeding the parking meters. You’ll be stressed enough without worrying about a ticket.

I had a mediocre experience at Coolidge Corner MRI. I never had an MRI before and surprisingly(or maybe not) experienced clostrophobia very quickly. They weren’t unhelpful but they weren’t helpful either. After trying when it became obvious that I wasn’t going to be able to go into the tube, I brought up the open MRI machine. The assistant told me the only one available was in Florida??? «None in Boston??» I was thinking to myself as I was leaving. Well there are numerous in Boston, one of which is in Woburn very close to where i work. Either the assistant was unknowledgeable or lying. Either way I when to the Open MRI machine and was fine.

I had to get an MRI here for my shoulder a few weeks ago(baseball injury… well kind of…). Anyway… I had never had one before, so I found it really helpful that someone sat me down and explained the whole procedure beforehand. I appreciated that. Plus, everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. It did take a long time unfortunately. My doctor had said I should be in and out within an hour, but it took about two and half hours. It’s not like I was just sitting around waiting for very long, so I just have to assume that’s how long these things take. Oh, and they let you pick a CD to listen to during the procedure, which made the process so much less painful. After the MRI was over, and I took off my headphones, one of the women asked, «Want me to make you a CD?» And I said, «Like a mix tape?» She laughed, «No, of your MRI.» Yeah, I’m stupid.
