This place is pretty great. It’s a great place to get your work done. I loved the mocha I had the other day, and they serve a variety of healthy and delicious array of breakfast and lunch options. Never have tried the pastries they look pretty decent though. All in all, I am super productive here which is a huge bonus for my effectiveness in life. Check it for sure.

Their special chicken sandwich(the chipotle one) is one of the best out there — I hope it becomes a fixed menu item! The staff is always very friendly and orders are quick. Their sweeter temptations offer a nicer alternative for breakfast if you have a sweet tooth like me, although their breakfast burrito is also hard to pass. Difficult choices every time ! Not a lot of outlets for those looking to plug in their laptops and it’s more of a ‘meet friends and chat away’ kind of place than a ‘work for hours on refill coffee’ place but it’s still a nice place to work for a couple of hours while grabbing a nice bite !

Quite a good option in this neighborhood! Espresso was excellent, the sandwiches are great. Note that in spite of Unilocal saying free wifi, they have a sign inside that says wifi is turned off on weekends due to demand for seating, but if you have a Comcast account this is no problem as there is a very strong signalf for the Xfinity public wifi hotspot. I recommend!

Came here for breakfast and had a bagel with a Caramel Macchiato. The espresso was very smooth and had a rich taste. The café itself is nice, has an awesome vibe. Good place to hang out with a friend.

I got a greek salad with chicken, just now actually; and its really good! Everything is fresh, dressing is yummy, chicken is perfect. Minus a star for forgetting my stuffed grape leaves. I’m sad now, but too lazy to go back to complain… :/ …and also my olives… where are my olives? …and your prices were lower online… Just saying. I paid $ 12.30 for a greek salad that was only half greek. Hey now…

Good vibes, spacious, and nice décor, but the coffee is mediocre. The prices are pretty steep for what you get. I would look elsewhere for a bite or coffee.

Had a falafel wrap. In general the orders were pretty basic and pricey. Food isn’t bad but I personally wouldn’t make this a go to for its small portions and lack of vegetable content/diversity for what is supposed to be pretty healthy.

Start with fresh squeezed orange juice! Order the Egg and Cheddar sandwich that Lu suggested! He is delightful! And Sarah also behind the counter was helpful and took our photo! This place is in a great location. Sit by the window. Watch the parade of people walk by. Bathrooms are clean! And smell good! Visiting from San Diego and on vacation but if you are here on business this place would be perfect to catch up on a little work and have coffee and a meal!

I felt this café had good ambiance, food, and presentation. We had ordered omelette with bagel, and some lentil soup with fruit parfait. It was all yummy. The swings were very generous as well. Definitely must try if you visit Boston.

Having lived in Coolidge Corner for the past five years, I’ve probably walked by Temptations Café hundreds of times and never once been tempted(har har) to walk in. That was until I read the description of the Three Little Pigs panini on the chalkboard outside… ham, pork loin, and bacon top with horseradish, caramelized onions, cheese(I’m blanking on what kind) and fig spread sandwiched between two beautifully pressed pieces of ciabattta. Was it everyting I hoped for? Not quite. The bread, which I think comes from Iggy’s was perfect, but the sandwich as a whole was lacking in kick and heft, which seems impossible given the laundry list of powerhouse ingredients. Throw in the fact that it was more than $ 9 and didn’t even come with a pickle, and I’ll admit I was actually a little disappointed. I also figured I’d try Temptations’ take on a 7-layer bar while I was at it, and was not impressed. This place might appeal more to avid coffee drinkers looking for an alternative to the Coolidge trifecta of Starbucks, Dunkies, and Peet’s, but sandwich lovers like myself are better off heading to Michael’s Deli down the street.

Whether meeting a friend or doing some work, Temptations Café is a great place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. My latte was rather commonplace, but made way for the high point of my visit… The Southwestern Turkey Panini was outstanding. Striking the perfect balance of savory and spice, this panini was among the best sandwiches I’ve had in Boston. I certainly recommend Temptations for your next lunchtime excursion in Brookline!

Cute and convenient, this place has many perks but other qualities that make it less than desirable. The food is pretty good and very reasonably priced — I got a tuna melt. However, the man SHOUTING out our orders once they were ready(and I do mean shouting!) was incredibly jarring and distracting and made it challenging to have a conversation. I was loving my soy latte until I got to the end of the liquid and noticed it still felt like there was something in the cup but couldn’t get any more of the beverage out. I opened the lid to reveal congealed and hardened soy milk at the bottom of the cup! I will not order a coffee drink from there again but would go back for one of their salads!

Nice vibe with good seating and free wifi for studying. However, the drinks and food are pretty mediocre. I got the chai latte– too syrupy and tasted like it was made from boxed concentrate, not much depth of flavor, and the apple almond cake– very mealy like the whole thing was made of almond paste. Pretty average place.

H and I were in the Coolidge Corner area due to an elective ultrasound we decided to have done. The café is located on the very busy section of Coolidge Corner on Beacon. I called(the ultrasound place) ahead of time to find out the deets on parking… Yeah, you’re parking on off-street. On a positive note, the«old school» meters take both coins AND cards. So those of you, like me, who never carry cash/change are in luck. It’s $ 2 for two hours. When H and I walked into the café, we couldn’t help but feel like it’s a decent size spot for the area. It’s also decently decorated in a modern, yet natural-looking… pieces. There were booths on either side with a long table in the center. On the upside, there were outlets everywhere I looked. Dangit. I should’ve brought my phone charger for my always-dead iPhone. There was a couple of specials listed on the chalkboard placed on the sidewalk. My H HAD to try Three Little Pigs Panini(or something like that) — it sounded too good to be true. After eating half his sandwich, he was relentless and admitted to was indeed too good to be true– that the sandwich was just ok. I REALLY wanted a prosciutto sandwich after reading the other reviews(next time!)… but I ordered a Cuban. My sandwich was awesome compared to H’s. The pickle was tasty– and I do NOT like pickles. There were a number of sandwiches I wanted to try(tuna, cheddar and avocado, prosciutto and mozz, etc). When we’re in the area next, we’ll be sure to make the stop.

Another incredibly odd experience here… It’s pouring rain outside and needed a place to wait for a bit. I had a pretty terrible experience here last time, but I figured with all the great reviews it must have just been an odd day when I had gone. Apparently not. I came in at 5 today, and while it says they close at 9pm, at 5:45, we were all told they were closing early at 6pm. It was completely out of no where and there wasn’t an explanation as to why. It literally seemed as though the two people working there just wanted to go home. I chose this place to chill for a while, not 45 minutes. What café/coffee shop closes at 6pm on a Tuesday?(there was no sign indicating an early closing day) What was worse was how they went about getting people out. They played super loud heavy metal music, which was mostly just screening, starting at 5:30 so people would leave. I have to say it worked. Everyone was sufficiently distracted and disrupted by the screaming and everyone over 40 immediately left. Those that remained were then told to leave 15 minutes later. They were also really rude to everyone ordering food, which was really strange. Not something you generally see at a coffee shop. I never say this, but I’ll never be going back. They win.

With not so many breakfast options open at 7:30AM in Brookline, I was pleased to find a highly rated café option within walking distance to the Courtyard Marriott. I guess I was expecting something a little more unique… I ordered the breakfast egg sandwich with turkey, and it was reminded me of what you would get at any typical NYC Bodega. It was good, but just meh. The service was equally as stoned faced, but fast and relatively friendly for that time of the morning. The espresso however is definitely one step above standard and for that I would return on a regular basis. For anyone visiting the Brookline area and staying at the Courtyard, it’s definitely worth venturing away from the lobby Starbucks for a coffee at Temptations.
