They always take 20 minutes to make 4 spring rolls even when it’s not busy. The service used to be really bad but now its better. I’ve dined in once and they didn’t write down our order and brought 2 out of 5 orders. So we waited. We told them about it and they brought 4 of the 5 orders. So we waited again. We told them again and when they brought the last one out it was cold and hard but during this time everyone finished eating already. Plus the pork rind was spoiled and I’ve eating many Vietnamese pork rinds before. Overall bad sevice with okay food

Went on two different occasions. First time I enjoyed a bowl of house special Phở. It was lacking a bit of flavor. It was tasty but it didn’t blow my mind. My stomach had wanted more since it seemed the phở didn’t fulfill it. It wasn’t great but it will do if you want something fast and you are nearby and every where else is closed. The second time I went I had the Banh Xeo. My bf and I thought I would be small portions so we ordered two. Turns out we were wrong! It was huge that we didn’t finish both. I was able to eat more than half. The meat inside was good but I did wish they gave more. They gave enough veggies to eat with it and the dish was great but needed more meat. I’ll go back and eat there and try different dishes.

Great food and great service. Stopped here based on the Unilocal reviews. We had the egg rolls and two different phos.(The phở is $ 7.75!) Wish that they had fountain soda instead of the can, but that’s pretty typical for this type and size of restaurant.(But they have bubble tea to make up for it!) Can’t wait to go back because everything on their menu looked yummy.

Waited a long time for a carry out. Eggs rolls were good but fried rice were burnt I can even smell while driving home. It had a really bitter taste to it, I guess since it was burnt. I had better Vietnamese food I don’t think I’ll come back here again.

I usually don’t make much bad comments but. Place has really good food, but as I come more often I notice some flaws. As one worker pouring desserts from one big container to a smaller one for sale, some of that dessert spilled on her fingers and she licked it off and kept pouring again! As that cup she was trying to transfer over was still in that same hand that she was licking!!! This happened a total of 2 times as I first noticed! I wanted to try that dessert out but after seeing her do so makes me feel very grossed out and lost my appetite! Very gross!!!

I walked into this place thinking it was a run-of-the-mill Chinese food restaurant. No, in fact it is a Vietnamese restaurant and it’s not what I expected. Authentic flavor — I had a pork and vegetable dish that was quite unique and delicious. A nice marinade on the meat and the vegetables were fresh. They seem to boast their phở which is noodle soup. I’ve had a few now — the one with lean beef and vegetables and noodles was good. The broth is good and plentiful. They have some good egg rolls that are not your average egg roll. Check this place out next time you’re in the area!

Small menu but tasty options. I just wish there were more chicken options. Any time I tried to order a dish with chicken(that is on the menu) they say they are out of it. Banh Mi was good.

I thought this place was quite average for the food & a bit lacking for service. There are a lot of Asian food places in Brooklyn Park. This would be on the lower end of choices for me.

Excellent food and service. For spring rolls, beef noodle and chicken. Prices were excellent too. We r from out of town, but this is the best place we have been to yet.

I was really really excited to try out this place because I haven’t found a Vietnamese restaurant that I love in Minnesota yet. The pictures of the com tam got me hooked when I was browsing around. Initially walking in, it was dead. Two customers — very quiet. Typically, I do not expect great service when it comes to walking into an asian owned restaurant. However, the servers were literally sitting right next to us, and we had to make solid eye contact for them to actually recognize us. Even when we gave them«the eye», another customer who seemed like a regular spoke in Vietnamese and told them that we wanted to order. Food took quite a bit of time, but it wasn’t really a big issue. 2⁄5 The house eggs rolls were OKAY. We could tell that it was homemade, but it was definitely missing something. The crunch was there, but there was like a lack of flavor. 3⁄5 Now, I was SUPER excited for the com tam which is my favorite thing to order at a Vietnamese restaurant. It was okay. The meat was fine. The egg was eh. I was looking forward to the shrimp paste in bean curd — lacked flavor. The quantity was exceptional but the quality was«meh.» 3⁄5 Most likely won’t come back, but if you’re in the area I suggest to stop by if you’re craving Vietnamese.

Had nem nuong and sausage fried rice this time. Both excellent. I am very happy to have found this real mom and pop place. I look forward to going back.

This place is a hidden gem. We eat in and take out a few times and it never disappoint. The phở is very flavorful and refreshing. Good size and reasonable price. If you like shrimp cake, don’t miss out the shrimp cake spring roll — it’s so good. If you’re a noodle and chicken lover, try no. 21. The chicken was huge, flavorful and crispy. I’m drooling now when thinking about it. The staff was very nice too. Knowing that we aren’t Vietnamese, she told me the correct way to eat no. 21 This has become my new favorite for Vietnamese cuisine. It’s strange that despite dinner hour, the restaurant is quite. I guess it needs more marketing effort.

My friends kept talking about the nem nuong and how it’s comparable to brodards in California so I HAD to try. I would’ve given this place 4 stars but the service was HORRIBLE. This is located in a strip mall across from north hennipen community college. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant is kind of small and looks like your basic asian hole in the wall restaurant. Got greeted and seated right away. Took about 15 minutes before any server came to the table to give us water or ask if we wanted anything to drink besides water. It wasn’t busy so I didn’t understand why it took so long. Finally our server came, we ordered the nem nuong, bahn khot, wonton noodle soup, & shrimp rolls. The nem nuong was delicious & a huge portion. You definitely can share this. Banh khot was so good it hit the spot. Tasted like good ol home cooking. The wonton noodle soup was not good. The broth was very bland and the condiments provided in the table couldn’t fix it. The shrimp spring roll is s warm roll. They pretty much make a shrimp party and grill it. Wasn’t the best tasted like a salmon spring roll. When it was time to check out I asked for a box along with a little sauce container with the bill. Took another 15 minutes before we got the container & bill. The waitress NEVER came back with the sauce container. I asked her for one 3 times. I wasted about another 10 minutes so I said screw it. I’d come back for the nem nuong and bahn khot but I’ll order to go because I can’t stand bad customer service!

With our regular Minneapolis Vietnamese joint temporarily closed, my girlfriend and I decided to journey to MT Noodles and check out their food. I have to admit, it was kind of weird driving to Brooklyn Park and not buying six pounds of crayfish. Anyways, here’s my assessment: I. FOOD *Spring Rolls: Interesting, but I’m not sure if I liked it. Starting with the shrimps, instead of boiling them, they were quickly fried. There was also a long thin sliver of something yellow and chewy. Maybe tofu? The BBQ pork was fine. The savior of this dish was their perfectly sweet and salty peanut sauce, though. It almost reminded me of my mom’s. I just wish there were some crushed peanuts to give it more texture. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend these.(2⁄5) *Banh Khot: Not many Vietnamese restaurants in the Twin Cities serve banh khot, so I was surprised and excited to see it listed as an appetizer. While the flavors were mostly there and the fish sauce was on point, I don’t understand why the inside was hollow. I’ve taken them out of the specialized skillet, many times in my day, and don’t ever recall this happening. Also, they could utilize less coconut in their batter.(2.5÷5) *Bun Bo Hue: Broth was better than most places, and all the savory and meaty fillings are present. I would recommend to other BBH enthusiasts.(4⁄5) II. SERVICE Not only did the food come out quite fast, but also our server was incredibly kind and attentive. Not to mention, the chef even came out and thanked us for our business.(5⁄5) III. DÉCOR It’s humble and very clean. It’s also perfect for groups of any small to moderate size. IV. CONCLUSION There were some hits and misses with the food, and I’m in no rush to return; however, I would drop by to try some other some of their rice platters and other soups and would consider frequenting this place much more often if I lived closer.

Great spot for a lunch or dinner, especially for college students! North Hennepin community college is just across the street. Parking is free and plenty, as it’s located in a small strip club. The workers are very welcoming and nice! The food was good. I had the pork egg foo young. The patties were huge! It was filled with clear noodles, pork and other veggies. My bf ordered the Phở. He was very impressed. We also got the house egg rolls, which are 8 small egg rolls. Good for sharing! The egg rolls were very tasty. Definitely going back!

My family comes here a lot for the great food at a great price. When I go to a restaurant I usually find something I like and always order that. Here there are many things I like so I always struggle on what to order. If you’re looking for something lighter, the vermicelli noodle salad is great. It’s also served with an egg roll. If it’s a cold day and you want to warm up, the phở here is very tasty and a very common order here. I also like the broken rice with the pork or the hot and spicy chicken. During lunch they have some combo deals that come with an egg roll that is really nice. They also have bubble tea here and Vietnamese iced coffee. The coffee is strong, but sweet. There are many other things on the menu as well that my family likes. Would highly recommend this place!

Another day, another Vietnamese restaurant! Hubby and I have ordered from this place a couple times now, take out only and I haven’t gone with him to pick up, so I can’t comment on the décor, cleanliness, helpfulness of the staff, etc. So typical me, both times I’ve ordered phở tai and the shrimp cakes. Their broth is interesting, I really like it! It’s super fragrant and I feel like there might be a touch more spice(star anise maybe?) than other places. The shrimp cakes, now, I’ve never had the like of these before. It’s a little shrimp with a rice cake baked/fried around it, topped with some scallions and served with a fish sauce. Hubby claims he doesn’t care for them(says they are too«doughy») but will still take a couple. They are slightly sweet and bite sized. Dipped in the fish sauce and they become one of the tastiest shrimp bites I’ve had. Will definitely continue to order from here, maybe we’ll make it in and actually sit down. Next on the list to try will be the noodle salads.

There are plenty of places to get phở in the Twin Cities, but not many of them are located in the north west metro… well, here’s the place for you! Tucked inside a strip mall, you’d have to know this place was a Vietnamese food joint… MT Noodles doesn’t exactly scream, Viet Food!!! It’s a decent location, easy to get to, plenty of parking. We arrived somewhere between lunch and dinner, so it was quiet; which is fine with me, better service and no crazy crowds to deal with. We got seats right away :-) I was HUNGRY and had to try the egg rolls(it was cold, wanted something warm!). They arrived pretty quick and you could definitely tell they were handmade, fresh and cooked to ordered. Crispy, filled with pork, veggies and vermicelli… it hit the spot with the mild fish sauce. I went with #18(PHĐCBIT), which is filled with rare lean beef, well done flank, beef brisket, soft tendon, tripe & meatballs… how could you say not? Well, you could if you didn’t like meat… The biggest thing for me in great phở is clean, non-greasy broth base… this place has that nailed. Clean, non-greasy, not saturated with MSG…#amazing. No shortage of noodles and meats, topped with a bit of lime and bean sprouts, provides a great bowl of hot phở. There’s plenty more to try and thankfully I don’t live far away :-)

OMG… This is my 100th Unilocal Review! Let’s make it count! Well. MT Noodles. if you hear the name the first time only phonetically, you would go. what? «Empty Noodles?» No like. «I don’t want my noodle bowl empty. I want it full of delicious noodles and other good stuff that comes with it. Not empty.» Luckily. it is M and T, MT Noodles. What a peculiar name. I still don’t know what it means but I’m sure it’s an abbreviation or the initials of the owner. I did find a new fave with MT Noodles. I got the recommendation from my Nail Lady, and she told me that this place was a must try especially if I liked Vietnamese rice dishes, as well as noodles. She wouldn’t stop asking me to go, so after a nail appointment one Saturday, I went there to grab lunch. My Nail Lady didn’t lie. I ordered exactly what she told me to get which was the broken rice combination plate. It was a gigantic platter of rice!!! It came with bite size of Vietnamese pork chops, a full size Chinese sausage, a big chunk of steamed egg loaf, a good portion of Vietnamese shredded BBQ pork, and two humongous slices of shrimp rolls inside a crispy bean curd paper. Plus, there was salad of jicama, tomatoes, and cucumber. It was perfect combination of everything! It was so big I couldn’t possibly finish it though I was famished. I ate that for the next couple of days. A week later, I craved the dish again. I went in for lunch, but I got the rice dish to go. I ordered the phở. I thought I had to sample the phở to ensure it’s legit, right? Phở was pretty good. I ordered wrong though. I wanted it with steak and meat balls, but I guess I only ordered the meat balls. I also ordered some egg rolls that were again, gigantic. For relatively small people, the Vietnamese like their food big. I ended up eating the egg rolls and the rice for the next couple of dinners, and it was good. I am actually about to eat it again for dinner tonight! The phở was nice especially I had not been feeling well for the last couple of days. The phở just hit the spot with its warmth. It tasted very nice and soothing. The first time I came, I believed one of the owners, a guy, delivered my food, and he was talking to me about the restaurant. It was very personable of him. He told me he just wanted to serve good food. So, he kept the menu somewhat small but they just want to make food they love and they know it’s good. I asked him a little bit more about his noodle dishes as I was looking for a particular dry egg noodle dish that was garnished with crunch chopped garlic in oil. He was a tad confused but then he said they also made flavored oils with onions for noodles. I will have to try it next time. So, since I’ve been there twice before I even changed nail color, I’d say I’m a fan. Price is very economical for what you got, and service was pleasant. This little cute girl who was serving me was so polite to me on my second visit. She kept calling me mam respectfully each time with a smile. I wanted to tease her saying that I was too young to be called mam like that… call me miss. However, maybe I need to look in the mirror. Maybe I am a mam. Damn…
