Started out ok. Seated right away then waited a bit for drink orders. Then took a while for salads to come to table and dinner was late also. Lasagna ok nothing special. Roasted beet salad awesome. Plates never cleaned off of table. We were celebrating a bday and no offer of dessert from the server… Still waiting for plates to be removed from table when the dessert arrived. Service blah.

Really a huge disappointment! Sunday brunch buffet was mediocre… nothing to go out of your way for. Scrambled eggs were awful, but the other items were passable, though definitely not abundant. The service was incredibly bad. When our party of 2 adults and 1 child were charged for 3ADULT buffets, I questioned the server about it. She said she would fix it, but returned with the same bill for 3ADULT buffets and promptly disappeared without a word of explanation. We never could find her again… I think she was hiding out. Other customers complained that they were told one free juice came with each buffet meal, but then they were all charged for their juice. Take note, Roasted Pear, THISISHOWYOULOSEBUSINESS!!! Everyone I spoke to said they will never go back.

I’ve been here a few times and the restaurant part is ok. However, when I’m by myself and sit at the bar, the bartenders are not very friendly. I’ve done that job and being nice is kinda prerequisite. Seriously… it’s free slider night so lots of people are not ordering anything off the menu. I ordered a steak with all the fixings. Still very little service from the bartender. Wow! Disappointing because I am very nice, smile a lot, and try to engage. Nothing back.

This place earned itself a one star because o went there once before to find out it had pretty decent food. The catch is that you have to put up with the slowest customer service. The first time I went it took almost an hour to get our food after we ordered. Thankfully I had some snacks for my two year old daughter or we would have had to leave. Yesterday we decided to give this place another chance. My husband and I told ourselves we would order food as soon as they took our drink order in order to give them the benefit of the doubt. Well, turns out that the hostess said she would bring us a high chair and we waited 5 min with our fussy toddler who wanted to run around the restaurant with still no high chair. Finally I just went and found them myself. Ok– we decided to still stay and give it a shot. We waited for a waitress to come to our table to take our drink orders for 15 minutes with no one in sight. With our hungry and now fussy toddler in tow, we high tailed out of there and are never going back. The hostess saw us walking out and didn’t say a thing. No apologies or goodbye– as if she didn’t care that they had just lost a customer. We’re never going back– too bad as the food is decent if you’re willing to practice an insane amount of patience with the slow service.

Our family had Easter brunch there last year and it was a good meal, so wanted to set it up for this year. When I initially called I was hung up on twice. The third time I was told they had a lot of options open for our party. I called the next day to schedule the exact time and they were«booked and have been for weeks». Frustrating change!

Ok bar. Not so great food options. Over priced cocktails. Ok service as well. Should be your last option if you don’t find a better bar close by

Love this place! They have the best grilled chicken. I ordered the grilled chicken stacker, it is a bed of steamed veggies(zucchini, broccoli, and carrots) stacked beneath pineapple topped chicken breasts covered in Swiss cheese. Such a unique combination of flavors will certainly get anyone’s palate doing jumping jacks. 5⁄5.

It’s almost as if they tried to bring an Arbor Lakes(in the grove) restaurant into BP, but they failed to staff it with proactive management. It takes forever to get your food and often times something was made incorrectly. Nice people, but I can’t eat a phony smile! They really need to shore up the slooooow service, inconsistent food quality, and not playing favorites if they want to keep their doors open.

Roasted Pear used be a good neighborhood option. Unfortunately service has gotten so bad that it takes 45 minutes to get a chicken breast with vegetables out of the kitchen! Officially on the do not repeat list.

We love coming here, had our favorite tomato basil soup and tried the garlic cheesy bread for the first time and it was phenomenal. Unfortunately the rest of our meal was extremely dissapointing. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and grilled veggies. The pasta was extremely bland and didn’t seem to be seasoned at all. My boyfriend got the chicken strips appetizer and an order of the onion rings. We were expecting the chicken strips to be made from scratch like most of their other stuff but they were run of the mill frozen chicken strips that were deep fried. The onion rings were nothing special, but we were very dismayed to see they were $ 8.99! I was a server and I would of definitely mentioned how expensive they were before I let my guest get ripped off like that. Hoping this is just a fluke experience.

Sunday brunch review. We came to RP for brunch and strawberry lemonade this morning, and I must admit that I was a little disappointed. The brunch buffet is the only item on the menu, I wish there was a little variety available — in the form of an actual brunch menu.(The buffet, however, was only $ 12 per person.) That being said, the food was fine but was nothing special. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, potatoes, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, frozen desserts, etc. nothing tasted very fresh or original. The strawberry lemonade used to be a major selling point for me, but it tasted off this time around. Would be good for a hangover. I definitely prefer the Burnsville location, much more gourmet and homemade-tasting options there. Restaurant was clean. Clientele was very WASP-y.

I had the roasted beet salad which had Gorgonzola, walnuts, very few small bits of beets and avocado. What? yes. Avocado. ewww. why oh why… it makes no sense to me. And I like avocado. This was an overpriced salad. would not order again; the prices are high for what they offer.

All I can say is Tuesday Free Tacos and Wednesday Free Burgers… Well, I guess I can say more than that but that’s really all you need to know. Yes, free food when you buy a drink on Wednesday and Thursday, that’s an automatic 3 stars for this guy. Like others have said Happy Hour is really the best time to visit The Pear, the drink specials are respectable at $ 2 and $ 1 off but the free food nights make it worth your while. Tuesday: –Hard/Soft shell or Tortilla Chips –Ground Beef –Nacho cheese –Shredded cheese –Lettuce –Tomato –Salsa –Beans Wednesday: –Regular/Cheese Burger –Onion –Lettuce –Tomato –Chips I don’t know how long they can keep this up but for the past several, I mean like almost a year it seems they have done it every week and not once ran out of food! I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here and don’t expect the FREE food to blow you away, but hot damn give it a try!

Absolutely terrible. There were only 2 positives choosing this place. The bartender was EXTREMELY friendly and personable! I wanted to pull up a chair and just sit and talk with him! Awesome! We got food for take out and it WAS prepared and on time for pick up but it was cold; like it has been sitting out for a few hours cold. My RP wrap was rolled in a vat of salt and the chicken was extremely undercooked and rubbery. I could barely choke down half of it. We were also told by a waitress Sam that if we didn’t like the food then we should just go somewhere else and not waste their time! Talk about unprofessional! But with your time or money. Head over to Clives or Mavericks

I was brought here for a work function. The service was inattentive and the food was not very good. On the plus side they did have an above average beer selection, but overall I’m impressed with this place.

Service was great — friendly, quick, and accommodating. Food– we were here for apps and drinks, and yum! LOVE the fiesty feta spread. Also recommend their Malbec. Mr friend accidentally ordered the wrong wine, and they cheerfully brought her something else. I dont know what all the bad reviews are about– sometimes I think they come from snobbish food-critic wannabes. ?? This place is nice, good food, good atmosphere. I’ll be back.

Heard nice things about the other location so we went here Sunday for brunch. I had two specific issues: 1. The bartender was waiting on all the people eating brunch in the bar area. I realize she was busting her hump trying to keep up, but service was slow. 2. The food was average at best. It was your standard break fare. sweats, fruits, your run of the mill cheesey hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, etc etc, Their lunch protein was fried chicken… this was really weak. It was sooooo dry. It seemed like they left in in a warming oven for 2 hours before serving. There are much better options.

I understand the bad reviews. I frequent here for happy hour. I come here for the chicken fingers and $ 3 happy hour beer. I’ve came here for dinner and was pretty disappointed. I really wanted to like this place because it’s close proximity to work and home but I can’t justify the price compared to the quality of food. I would recommend the bruchette(sp?) appetizer. Besides the price I ordered ravioli and it had so much sauce that I felt like I was eating dumpling soup. Pushing $ 30 for a steak, roasted pear, step your game up! Final word. If I did have to eat there stay with happy hour or sandwiches.
