The only thing edible about my order was the Diet Coke. There was little to no pork in the pork fried rice. If you can’t make pork fried rice, «we ain’t got nothin’ to talk about». Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Don’t get lured in by these 5 star reviews.

You know how you live your local Chinese place? Well, this is my local Chinese place. It’s pretty much like all the rest in town. Their General Tso tofu gets me through Lent every year. Their half a fried chicken is greasy, as it should be. Try the house special fried rice.

I’ve been coming to this place for 20 years now since I grew up around the block. It’s your basic run of the mill Chinese fast food restaurant. The only difference between this one and others in the neighborhood is that they soak EVERYTHING in grease here. The quality is always hit or miss. The other day I ordered a shrimp egg roll and the paper bag they give it to you in was drenched in oil with 2 cm of oil pooled together in the bottom of it with more spilling out with every bite of the eggroll. Super gross. If you don’t want to risk a potential heart attack from all the oil Mr. Tongs is a much better local alternative. This place also has a tendency of messing up orders depending on who answers the phone. 2 stars for longevity but everything else is below average.

I ordered garlic wings, shrimp fried rice and 2 veggie rolls. The sauce on the wings was ok(kinda salty), but the wings were tiny. The rolls tasted like some frozen veggie rolls that they just re-fried. The rice. The. Rice. First of all, it was a pumpkin orange color. Secondly, it was BLAND. and came with about 5 tiny shrimp. Never again.

Ordered from here last night. Wish I could give 2.5 stars because that’s what it deserves. Got the beef and broccoli combo and a shrimp and veggie roll. The combo only said it came with rice, but it came with an egg roll too which is nice. The beef was tender, and the sauce was good, but I got barely any beef and broccoli. Most of the container was rice. The shrimp/egg/veggie rolls were all ok nothing special. I wasn’t able to finish them all. I had a stomach ache after eating everything. I’ll probably try some other chinese places before trying this one again.

Sooo disappointing. I cannot believe they have so many good reviews — especially considering how many good places are nearby. The sesame chicken had no sesame seeds and was the texture of soggy white bread. I also had a difficult time finding the chicken in there. It satisfied zero of my Chinese food cravings. Both the General Tso’s and the sesame chicken seemed to use the same sauce — which tasted like duck sauce and sugar syrup. At least the wings were crispy. Also! The dumpling sauce tasted like molasses?! Overall, I was really unimpressed. At least the pork in the mu shu was decent and the order came pretty quickly.

Very good Chinese food. They really give you a good helping of the main course, not just loaded with rice or noodles. Food tastes good. I got the General Tso’s Chicken and was very happy. You will too

This was the absolute worst chicken fried rice ever tasted. The chicken was almost clear and completely inedible. I don’t even think it was real chicken. Rice was hard and stale. Gross.

Hood Chinese — if you stick to the lo mein, fried rice, and AMAZING fried chicken, you cannot go wrong. Otherwise the menu is too huge and probably not authentic(looking at the Szechuan and Thai dishes ha)

I wanted to try this place even though the other reviews of this space wasn’t too stellar. I ordered takeout of Shrimp with cashew nuts with white rice. And it was pretty good. To me this is an average/satisfactory Chinese takeout kitchen. It’s not the best, nor the worst but it’s convenient in the neighborhood.

Not going to order from here again. I haven’t experienced cold sesame noodles that were hot and tasted only of dishwater before, and I don’t want to in the future.

Definitely will not order from here again. Got the food and my chicken with cashew nuts had opened in the bag and there was sauce all over everything. As a result it was dry(no sauce left!) and there was very little chicken in it anyway — mostly onions and huge green peppers. Didn’t taste fresh.

Reliable takeout chinese. Best takeout chicken wings in the neighborhood.
