They were impatient and not understanding of the situation. I wish I could give him then more than one star but my heart, stomach, and mind forbid me to do so. This establishment does not believe in friendship and lack urgency. Won’t come again.

This place seems to have improved. Much better service however the sushi did take a while to get to the table since there was only one chef.

Came here for dinner tonight with 6 adults and a kid. $ 19.95 per adult includes AYCE shabu and sushi. Kids are $ 13.99 with the caveat that the kid does not get their own individual Shabu pot otherwise they would charge as adult. I called ahead of time to ask about the kid pricing. People always want to charge my tall 9– yr old as an adult so I call ahead as insurance. When the bill came, they charged him as an adult. They said he had his own pot so he had to pay as adult. I said I called ahead and they said 9 yr old is 13.99. I also pointed out that they did not specify that the kid could not get their own pot. They said I did not ask. The nerve! How am I supposed to know the rules of their establishment? The proper thing would have been for them to ask me how old my kid is and then explain the options. $ 13.99 if he ate out of my pot or $ 19.95 if he got his own pot. The waitress tried to say that I eat there all the time. I told her that she must’ve mistaken me for someone else. We drove in from nj and may have eaten there twice before in the years prior. They ended up reluctantly changing the bill to charge him only as a kid rate but for $ 6 difference, they ruined a good meal for us. The sushi was just ok. The hand rolls were much better. I recommend the white tuna avocado hand roll and the eel avocado hand roll. As for shabu, it’s your standard items. Service was decent up until the awkward bill arrived. Lots of meats but not much seafood.

This is the only AYCE hotpot place I know of in Brooklyn and so I resort to it every time. It’s nothing too special, frozen meat(literally frozen and still stuck together), veggies, dumplings, with pork bone soup base. The only cool thing is that they also offer AYCE sushi. Although, it’s the cheap type of sushi, nothing can beat AYCE sushi AND hotpot, both craving satisfied. I enjoy that this place offers individual pots so everyone can get their own favorite soup base. It’s a very spacious place, street meter parking available. The servers are very attentive. They will refill tea/water and soup without you ever asking.

Really great food, I loved how fresh the vegetables and seafood were. The meat sort of melts in your mouth. The service was mediocre and I love the two hour limit.

Came here with my friends and the service was nice and the food was tasty. We got our food quickly cause there wasn’t a lot of customers. Both the hot pot and sushi was amazing. Definitely recommend this place!

Been here a few times seems like every six months there are management or owner changes. AYCE always satisfies my appetite, not the best quality sushi but what do you expect its AYCE. Hot pot is decent if you know how to watch your pot and make your sauce

My family and I went to this place without any knowledge about it. I went on their website to check the AYCE menu and was pretty happy with it — it had a list of meats, vegetables, noodles, dumplings, so I thought«Hell yeah, lots of sushi and side dishes!» Unfortunately, I was wrong. All of the things on the menu(besides sushi) are for you to be cooked in your pot by yourself. Chefs don’t actually cook anything for you except sushi, all the food came frozen. My family was very disappointed. The food was tasteless(literally, those dumplings and fish balls were bought at the store for a couple of bucks, not even sure what was in it), some sushi rolls were decent, but that’s «decent», not even close to «good». Sushi a la carte were pretty tasteless too. Lamb did not taste like anything. A very small variety of drinks; my father hoped to have some green tea but they didn’t have it(at least water was free, huh.) We had our niece with us, who wasn’t really hungry and ate maybe two or three pieces of sushi, and we were charged $ 9 bucks for that. We could have had argued, but my family members were so upset with that place that we just left. The reason why I give this place two stars(and not one) is the service was really good. The waitresses were friendly, and though one of them struggled a little to explain the menu(accent), we had a nice experience with them. Never coming to this place again, however.

Individual hot pots! Perfect for cooking whatever you want at your own pace. Got the sushi and hot pot come $ 25/pp with tips. I got the regular soup whole bf got the spicy soup. In my opinion, the soup base tasted the same after cooking for while. Sushi was tasty. We got 2 rounds of scallop, white tuna, salmon nigiri: white tuna & avocado roll, philly roll, spicy tuna rolls. Good presentation on all of the hot pot ingredients. We didn’t receive everything we asked for, but no complaints there as we were full. Herbal tea instead of water for drinks. Sauce station was off to the side.

Constant refills, the food just kept on coming. There wasn’t a time the table was empty, the ladies was on top of everything. We came to celebrate my nephew’s birthday, can not believe he is turing 8 tomorrow! AYCE hot pot AND sushi for just one low price. The menu for shabu shabu includes lots of items, plus some off menu for a couple dollars more. Seafood, meats, veggies… everything was fresh. Individual pots of soups only(only 3 flavors — spicy, pork bone, and Japanese dashi). Their sushi is just as fresh. Lots of variety, no skimps on the fish. The sauce station isn’t the biggest but definitely has all the basics you need. Bottomless herbal tea. Tip: Mon-Thurs $ 19.95/person. Fri-Sun $ 21.95/person.

The absolutely most delicious shabu shabu that I have ever eaten. And what’s better is that for a few dollars more you can also get the all you can eat delicious sushi. Definitely worth the trip from Long Island.

The good: –place is big and doesn’t totally smell of hotpot. –all you can eat w/decent variety –for a few bucks more you can add on AYCE sushi. BUT everyone on the table has to do it as well. and the sushi is pretty good. –food seems pretty fresh The bad: –bland bland bland! I’ve tried all the soup bases and they all just taste like water. I swear, even the sauces taste water down to me. I would come here if you want a little bit of both: hotpot and sushi. My friends joked that next time they would bring their own soup base and throw it in… hmm… not a bad idea actually.

When I’m craving for hotpot and sushi, find me here! Love the combination of food I can have here! For hotpot, they have the normal sauces that one would need to make what we want such as peanut sauce, hosins sauce, cut up scallions, garlics, spicy sauce, cilantro, soy sauce, you name it! There utensils and everything in there appears very clean and tidy up which is most important because it’s what you out in your mouth! The food here for the hotpot tastes fresh and they have a lot of variety which will satisfy me, but I can’t speak for others! When you actually order what you want, they give you a good amount sometimes so you don’t have to consistently ask for more and more. But I must say, when t does get busy here, it takes a while for them to bring your uncooked food out and the re order is somewhat slow too. Sometimes you have to keep reminding the staffs what you ordered! Same goes for the sushi when it gets busy! But on the other hand, their sushi isn’t bad here! I always order their eel avacado hand roll and spicy salmon rolls because I love the combo of these sushi with hotpot! :) overall, great price for what you eat here!

I tried their hotpot for dinner with a party of 3. We did a lot of waiting. There are only 4 tables for 4 people. And 3 for parties of 6. The rest(4 tables) are for 2 people parties. We had just gotten there at 7:45 and were not seated till 8:30. Many people came in and left not wanting to wait but we stuck it out. We ended up getting 22party tables because the wait for a 4 person table was going to be even longer. So after getting menus ourselves and requesting to order our soup base because no one came to serve us… we were excited to get going. We ordered the good at the same time too knowing it was hard enough getting a waiter’s attention here. So as the food came, and my friends pots started to boil I told them to eat first since mine was still just barely steaming. My pot was on the highest setting and still did not boil. I asked the waiter who had turned the stove on inside the table for me to check… sure enough once she clicked it again it started boiling… she had not turned it to the highest setting or at least one that matched the rest of my table’s. Ugh. A good 15 min of my time wasted. As we would eat and reorder we noticed that some of our order would be missing and we were not notified if it was out of stock or what. So we would reorder again and it would come around the next time but then something else would be missing. The food was not that great, shrimp mushy, beef too fatty, and the soup had no flavor, pretty sure it was just water.(Japanese one) As we were nearing the end, we wanted to order one more time and before we could even tell the waiter what we wanted she said«are u sure you can finish? You still have food on the table» uh yes ma’m we can finish. what are you judging us for? This is an all you can eat hot pot place… This comment was really off putting considering we had finished ALL the food we had previously ordered. It wasn’t like we were wasting it! We had finished everything before giving it to the staff to take away. Our plates were clean. We only had a plate of spinach left to which we wanted to order more things so that when we boiled the spinach it would have SOME flavor because the soup base had NONE. The service here is subpar because you have to wave them down and they make too many mistakes. The food here is okay if you like your food boiled favorlessly. Did not try the sushi but the table next to us was waiting for their one spider roll for-not even kidding you– 20 min. There’s only one guy at the sushi bar and he is so slow that you are discouraged from getting any sushi.

This place used to be good but last night we were a table of 6 and wanted hotpot. The soup base came however the food we ordered took forever to come. Our soup base was boiled to where it is half gone. The utensils by the sauce table was so dirty. There were still leftover food stuck on the utensils! The sauce table was so dirty and messy. The soup base used to have flavor however we ordered the bone soup and it was literally clear like water and lacked flavor. A few of us ended up having diarrhea. I will not be coming back!

My first time trying out a more Chinese style Shabu Shabu with my boyfriend. When we walked by the restaurant we noticed how steamy the windows were so it looks like a lot of people were ordering a lot of shabu shabu. As we walked in I saw nothing but a clean and relaxing atmosphere. A lot of people were going for some hot and tasty hotpot and a few sushi rolls. The place is really roomy and big! The tables were pretty huge so I couldn’t even reach to kick my boyfriend if he did something stupid, lol. I asked him to order 2 kani salads, a chicken and beef hotpot dish for us because I had to run to use the lady’s room. Another good thing about this place is that even there bathroom was huge! Like the interior for the bathroom was nice and clean! Bonus points from me! When I went back to our table, he already ordered and I don’t know which broth he got for us. Apparently there is 3 types of broth that I wasn’t aware of? But we got the one with what looks like nuts floating on type? We also got our kani salads(pretty big portion for salad) and then our meats/vegetables. I noticed that we didn’t get a strainer or sauces with our hotpot until I ask the waitress if she can give us one. She told us that we just have to go up and get our own sauces and utensils for the hotpot. I kind of thought it was weird because the place I went in the city, they gave you everything! But I wasn’t gonna be all fussy about it. So I got us the strainer, cilantro, and peanut sauce. The peanut sauce to me tasted very blend and I was hoping for some real peanuts mixed in the sauce. I really OD with the cilantro in our hotpot because I’m just use to putting herbs in my soup. I really wasn’t crazy about the fish balls, or the other weird slices of vegetables. I just threw in the noodles and the green herbs in the soup. I really didn’t know what to do with the egg, do you crack it open and cook? Or do you boil it? I also though it was weird that we didn’t get bowls to pour in the broth because it looked really good to just drink it all. Also, I ordered more noodles, udon noodles and it came out frozen. I’m just use to fresh udon but it worked out for us. The experience was good, but we will come back for the all you can eat hotpot because I could go for more vegetables and meat in my hotpot. Like, would a mushroom kill you? Why do they have to charge for every little thing? Lol. Plus, do they give out bowls so you drink the soup or no? Cause I though it was weird that we didn’t get bowls to drink the soup at all. What I also liked was that the waitress was such a sweetheart and she constantly checked on us. She even poured in my hot broth, the broth that I didn’t even get to drink.

Can’t decide on whether to eat sushi or hotpot. Well then you’re looking at the right place. This is a joint of ayce sushi and hotpot/shabushabu. However, there are limited selections when it comes down to the sushi and hotpot toppings. This meaning you would have to pay extra for the«special» rolls and«special» hotpot items. Like most ayce hotpot restaurant, you get your personal pot and they have the DIY sauce table. My personal favorite would be hoisin sauce and peanut sauce, mix the two, delicious! I didn’t have high expectation for the sushi, but it turned out to be incredibly good. There wasn’t too much rice and it was fresh. I’ve been to other ayce hotpot places with a bigger variety selection, but can’t complain much because you also get to have your sushi!!! You get your common selections of thin sliced beef, lamb, chicken, fish ball, and a variety of vegetables. Customer service wise I would definitely give it 5 stars. The waitresses were all so nice and were speedy with our requests. Overall environment is comfortable, very spacious seatings. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try when you can’t decide between to eat sushi or hotpot! I believe dinner was $ 19.95! Worth it!

Do you ever get cravings for two different things at the same darn time, but can’t choose between the two? Happens to me all the time during the winter! You want maybe a roll of sushi and then the wind blows at ya and you’re like, well… hot pot would be nice too! This shabu spot kills two birds with one stone. Perfect for a cold winter night and conveniently located in an area with a lot of parking. The last few times I’ve walked in, the place was pretty empty during dinner, which for me means EXTRA attentive waiters(can’t complain about that! However, I do always come during the weekdays). I can’t lie, the shabu menu choices are the usual; there’s nothing to really rave about. ONETHING: if you aren’t a huge shabu meat eater like myself, you may want to ask the waiter to cut the meat portion in half. I have never seen such huge meat portions before and I only ever order lamb. A friend of mine who I’ve taken with me on the last trip here was so surprised at how much beef slices were in one order. Sadly, we both couldn’t finish it. I don’t think I’ve ever single-handedly finished any of the meat orders here! The sushi(which I use to hate here) has def got a face lift of some sort(either that or they changed their sushi chef and/or rice got more expensive). When I use to frequent this spot a few years ago, they use to stuff the sushi with so much rice you could barely see or taste the fish. More recently however, pretty decent rice to fish ratio and you can also tell them to use less rice. You aren’t going to be blown away by the food here, but the whole sushi and shabu combo is as good as it gets in THIS neighborhood! :) Lastly, instead of hot tea/water(which you can ask for), they serve an herbal drink(I LOVEIT!) that is considered«lerng»(cold/cool) which is suppose to even out the«yeet hay»(hot air) in Chinese terms of the shabu(a yin and yang type thing). If you hate the taste of it, just order a beer; it fulfills the same purpose(YOUAREWELCOME)!
