For Seamless: cheap sushi but it was 40 minutes late. The apps were cold the sushi was warm. I didn’t even eat it. I called the place and they said they were sorry but didn’t offer to refund my order or anything. With so many sushi places around I really doubt I would ever order here again.

I ordered from here for the first time tonight based off of the good Unilocal reviews. Im usually pretty fair with my assessment of restaurants but this place sucked. The delivery was fast but they forgot something in my order(mind you i only ordered 4 things). When I called and told them they forgot something the lady just said oh sorry can we just refund you the money… like i guess? Next– Soup was cold. Next– Sushi was warm and chewy and just flat out not right. I had one bite and threw it all away in disappointment. I will not be ordering from here ever again.

Always order aburi! Obviously its not the best quality fish.($ 4 for a salmon roll, what do you expect?) Sometimes you get lucky and its super fresh and sometimes you get a not so fresh roll and lose $ 4. Unfortunately this is the world we live in. That being said, all the other food is solid. Always get speedy delivery from here. My romates and I have been ordering a From here since they opened and have never gotten sick or had any problems. Give it a shot!

I always order sashimi, and the fish is always nice and fresh. They also cut the fish in nice thick pieces, so they’re not stingy. I’ve finally found a good sushi spot that delivers to me!

I must say I was a little taken back by the new reviews that I had to try Aburi with a more critical eye. I ordered via phone and my usual order was at my door in 20 minutes.(I timed it). My Salmon Lover’s Combo was as fresh and delicious as ever.

So look. I made an account on here to write this review. I’ve been ordering from here for literally a year, and I get their sushi and chirashi at least once a week. Quality has been slipping for a month or two now, but like I still love this place so whatever. Fine. Ordered the chirashi today. It’s sitting in front of me. GONE is the salmon. GONE is the tamago. ALLOFTHEFISH is rubbery flavorless garbage? Instead there’s…two GIANT pieces of disgusting pickled smoked herring? That doesn’t even belong in the bowl? No soy sauce in the bag. Nothing. What? I literally tip 20+% every time, why did they send me this takeout expletive??? I’ve done nothing wrong to you, Aburi. I’ve ordered from you FOREVER. But like, this chirashi bowl is literally disgusting? I get that times are hard and we need to just totally ruin the chirashi bowl, but PICKLEDHERRING? What in the world? Like. Okay. Whatever. I’m gonna eat it anyway but I am never ordering from this place again.

Yeah, never happening again. Placed my order with them on Grubhub. We live nearby, it took over an hour. We ordered a ton of sushi and when we opened the bag… ZERO soy sauce. So we called them to let them know. The woman on the phone was so rude and scoffed at me asking, «What do you want me to do?» I asked her for at least a partial refund which she refused, and said she could have the delivery guy come back in an hour with soy sauce. No thanks. I ate some of the sushi anyway and it was honestly horrible. It didn’t taste fresh and I was super let down. No soy sauce, horrible customer service, and bad food? 1 star. Never ever again.

Best analogy for this place is that of a cheating spouse. Things start off great but then you start seeing signs that things aren’t working out. You keep trying to make it work out but finally you just can’t keep coming back… Fast and cheap food… Not the best sushi but it’s edible and filling… Ordered once and it was decent. Second time the delivery guy refused to come up stairs to my office to deliver it and yelled at me on the phone even though I was in the middle of a meeting. Tried to chalk it up to «oh he’s having a shitty day»… Third time the delivery guy scoffs at me because I didn’t give him a big tip… thought about calling to complain but again tried to ignore it… Fourth and final time: the sushi is delivered and completely falling apart, the salmon smells weird, and right in the middle there is a big fat hair glaring at me… I call and they call the establishment… The restaurant refused to refund me for my food but seamless gives me a food credit… Lesson: If it sucks… Don’t keep giving them the benefit of the doubt… it’s just gonna keep sucking! Appalling customer service. Awful delivery. We ordered on seamless with an advertised 30 – 40 minute delivery window. 1.5 hours later the food never came. Phone was off the hook and when we finally got through to the restaurant, they offered no explanation and wouldn’t even tell us if the food had left the restaurant. Had to spend another 30 minutes trying to get through to seamless to have our money refunded. There’s way too many options for no-name sushi restaurants in the city for such poor customer service. Don’t waste your time because these people don’t respect it.

The fish in the spicy tuna and the salmon rolls were minced and blended with who knows what. The crab in the cali roll is fake. I can hear my Japanese friends crying…

My boyfriend and I order delivery from here all the time. The delivery time is scary fast sometimes– once the guy had the food at our door just 15 minutes after ordering! We always get the Salmon Lover’s Combo which is an incredible value. We’ve tried a couple other sushi rolls, as well as the Tuna Lover’s Combo, and have been generally underwhelmed. Just get the salmon, you can’t go wrong there!

I really like this place. I was walking my dog by and happened to get really hungry. I couldn’t really bring my dog inside any restaurants so the clerk actually greeted me at the door, took my order, and brought my food out to me! The food was really good, I got a chirashi bowl for only $ 10, which had at least 9 slices of decent sashimi. Overall my experience at this place was awesome and I’d definitely come back again! Happy customer.

This joint is definitely a take-out/delivery spot. We only found out when we got here. More importantly though, the food was pretty decent! The fish is super fresh and yummy and they have tons of options at very low price points. Don’t think I’ll be returning to dine-in but will definitely order take out/delivery from here when sushi is on my mind.

They never took my order I sat down with my girlfriend for 15 minutes and the waitresses never bothered to check on us. They just avoided us the funny thing is their was only one other table inside. So sad that a Japanese restaurant is ran by Chinese assholes. Thanks for nothing! We ended up walking out and guess what? that’s when they decide to run after us for our order. To late

5 stars: not because it’s the best sushi ever, but because it’s pretty damn good for the price. Totally satisfies my cravings for less than $ 20. I went for pick up, ordered 3 rolls, the assorted sushi app and the shumai miso soup. It came out quickly, like 7 minutes quickly, but I didn’t question it too much and headed out. The soup was great, but the sushi app and yellowtail scallion roll were way beyond what I expected! Clean flavors, good sushi rice; I was happy. All in all, my new go-to sushi spot. However, I might order pickup through GrubHub or something, there was a slight language barrier at first. Otherwise, awesome.

I always order my sushi here. It is cheap and good. I think I ll keep that way. They deliver in the next 30 min. I went there once but the restaurant itself doesn’t worth it. Just order your sushi, buy some sake. Watch a DBZ.

My go-to place for cheap, but decent, Japanese food. Prices are very affordable and they even have lunch specials(3 rolls + soda for $ 8.xx, among others). I’ve only ordered online deliveries from Aburi, and my overall experience has been a pleasant one. Very quick turnaround, usually within 30 minutes of ordering. And delivery peeps are always nice and polite(I approve). Minimum for free delivery is $ 8.

If you’re in the need for some cheap sushi, this is the place to go. Do not expect high quality ingredients or a fine dining experience. It’s just average, but Aburi does average well. The prices are a steal, the taste is good for the price, and the service is friendly and fast. This is my go to for sushi or teriyaki if I’m on a budget.

Disclaimer: This is a review for delivery sushi only. I’ve been ordering delivery sushi once a week from Aburi for the last 6 weeks now and have never been disappointed. I’m a stickler when it comes to sushi; fish freshness is crucial. I generally stick to salmon and tuna based rolls. Both are always surprisingly good fish. Considering the price, they do a phenomenal job here. The Salmon Lover’s platter and the Tuna Lover’s platter are both amazing deals. They have some pretty awesome specialty rolls too. Delivery is generally quick. Once I had to wait an hour; but in the scheme of things, that really isn’t so bad. They can be a little stingy on the pickled ginger, and it’s definitely not always amazing quality pickled ginger. Otherwise, I’ve always been really happy with Aburi. It will continue to be my go-to for delivery sushi on my weekly sushi night.
