These guys are now Bentou café. They’ve renovated to cater more towards a grab and go clientele and I love it! They have $ 1.50 rice balls ready to go in the morning, and I think its the perfect breakfast. Try the kimchi tuna, spicy beef or salmon. All are delicious. They also got a cup of mixed berries for $ 1.25. Sushi is fantastic here. No doubt the best available in East Williamsburg. They sell 2 rolls for $ 9 bucks and 3 for $ 11. Sushi is priced to sell, but there’s absolutely no compromise on quality or taste. Very excited about this deal around the corner from me. Cash Only. Go check them out.

SINCETHEYRENOVATED: I’m very disappointed in their new renovations. They were closed for almost two weeks, and they just re-opened. I went in excited to see the new layout, but turns out they changed EVERYTHING. Instead of making fresh sushi by the sushi bar, everything is pre-made and the price went up way too much! EXPLANATION: I always got the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box. For $ 13, I used to get the teriyaki over lots of vegetables, rice, good portion of edamame, 3 dumplings with sauce, and 1 whole California. Most important: it was always WARM and FRESH. Now, they charge $ 9 for a little bowl of cold chicken over rice, two pieces of broccoli and carrots, 1 dumpling and five pieces of edamame. I had to pay $ 2 for a California roll, which only is three pieces now. Yes, I can re-heat it in the microwave, but it doesn’t taste the same. It’s not Sakura anymore, the workers are the same, but the quality of food has diminished completely. Some people may like the new style, but like many other regulars, we’re gonna have to find a new place to get fresh sushi and a reasonable price.

I had the seafood ramen and the orange and black roll. Both were delicious and fresh! The service was very friendly and fast … I’d totally come back here!

Ordered take out on a Wednesday evening and had it delivered. It was delivered in a timely fashion in around 40 minutes. I was very excited to try their food as it came from a friend with a great review of their food. However, when the food arrived I was greatly disappointed. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, crabmeat roll, California roll, and egg fried rice. The egg fried rice was well done and tasty, but nothing special. The sushi looked great and was presented well, however when I tasted the sushi it was atrocious. The spicy tuna roll is one of my favorites and I was greatly disappointed with it. The tuna was warm and tasted very strange. It had a horrible aftertaste and was definitely spoiled. The crab in both the crabmeat roll and California roll were spoiled as well. After having that experience I could not eat anymore. I called to complain to the restaurant and was told that they were sorry, but they could just give me a discount the next time I ordered from them. I asked if I could get a credit toward my bill, but they refused. I was very taken back by the lack of customer service that this restaurant showed. I will absolutely not order from them again and do not recommend their food to anyone else.

Good price, Good quality, fast and friendly service… The monster roll is awesome! Gigantic mountain of little fried onions topping rolls with crab meaty goodness, this one is a must try! Their menu is pretty extensive with gluten free options, lots of entrees and soups besides the sushi. The décor and inside is no frills just simple and nice and most importantly always clean. I have came here a bunch of times and will continue to return, I have only eaten in and not ordered out(I’m not a fan of ordering sushi for delivery though especially in the summer.)

I must say I was truly amazed at this place! From when you walk in, even the staff behind the counter making the food, welcomes you with a ‘Hello’. Food was amazing and they made sure you were completely full with great portions. Presentation of the food was A+ and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Five Stars all the way!

This place is GREAT! I was here quite a few years ago and thought it was t worth trying again but everything has since changed. My boyfriend and I ordered the combo app– all items tasty, served perfectly. My boyfriend ordered sashimi, it was two thumbs up. I ordered two rolls. Both two thumbs up. We’ll be back right away. Atmosphere is comfortable, prices are right, taste is awesome.

We went there a few times as this is close to our place. The sushis are alright but not high quality. The staff is however very nice and the restaurant itself is cute and intimate.

After living in the neighborhood for years, I ordered sushi from here for the first time. For takeout sushi it was pretty good. They were very fast and friendly. Will order again and recommend!

I m going to put a 3 out of 5 bc even if I loooove sushis and there are no bad sushis, those ones were just ok. Maybe Sakura is better making ramen or other dishes but the sushis are supposed to be cold and not warm. They rice was almost hot. This is wrong. The rice should be prepare in advance. I’m not sure I’ll come back. Staff is super nice though!

Visited a friend in BK who lives on top of this restaurant. There’s nothing like some warm ramen to warm you up during the winter. Ordered spicy beef ramen which was good and also got the Sumi roll and the Coco roll and some shrimp gyoza. All tasted really good. The almonds could’ve been left out of the Sumi roll but the mozarella is a nice touch to it.

I’ve been enjoyed the sushi. It is high-quality, and a good value. I would give this place five stars except for an issue I had with a coupon they gave me. It was a grub hub coupons, Which apparently could not be used because they hadn’t set it up in the system. After trying to order on both the website and the app, I called them and they were not helpful at all about the problem. The five dollars isn’t it a big deal, the half hour I spent trying to place an order was kind of annoying. can’t give them a great review after that experience.

Good local spot for a quick bite to eat solo… I come in here weekly for lunch. Always greeted and seated immediately. My water glass is continually filled up without prompt. I order the bento box lunch. It has a California roll, small dumpling like item and teriyaki chicken or salmon. I prefer sauce on the side and they oblige. Green tea is a nice way to warm up and be healthier. There are also a good selection of rolls that they offer. Fresh avocado, white or brown rice in the roll and for the non fish people they can add other selections as well. I would return again and again to this local spot… so close to the L train. Some complain about the wait staff I believe this store adequately services its customers.

I recently moved to Brooklyn from the UK and as a sushi fan am very fortunate to have such an excellent local Japanese restaurant. I have visited Sakura a number of times since my move and their quality of service and food has never failed to impress me. You are greeted by the chef in the same friendly way as sushi restaurants in Japan which gives Sakura a very authentic feel. The staff are also very attentive and remember things like favorite dishes you’ve had on previous visits. We always order a large selection of sushi and sashimi and the quality of the fish is always top notch. The prices are very reasonable and you’re getting a lot higher quality than you’d get elsewhere. I have tried a number of sushi restaurants in nyc and haven’t experienced such good flavour at such a good price anywhere else. They also serve very flavoursome gyoza, yakitori and mizo soup as well as a number of speciality dishes.

One of the best Sushi spots in Brooklyn! The salmon teriyaki bento box is to die for! Everything in here is top notch. My only complaint is all the staff including the waitresses sat down and ate Chinese food they ordered across the street while I sat there waiting for my food to be prepared. I found this very unprofessonal and really unorthodox for a restaurant in this caliber of great food to do so. They should look at this and fix the problem, cause when new customers come in and see this. they’ll just walk out the door and go else where. For this I give them a 4 star.

Place has remodeled itself and for the better! The service is good and hospitable. The décor is updated and they have lots of delicious special rolls to choose from. Locals, this is a great stop on Graham Ave if you’re not looking to travel far for a nice sushi fix. They keep surprising me how good they are every time I come back. I recommended giving them a try Ps. A lot of the older reviews are from when they were not remodeled so don’t let the bad reviews sway your decision in 2014

Best Japanese food! Their ramen soup is the best I’ve ever had! My husband and I have been coming here for a few years and it never disappoints! We travel from Queens just for their yummy food. The wait staff are all very nice and when you need them they are there, sometimes before you even call them over, they’re all just very good waiters and know by your body language. The main sushi chef, I’m thinking is the owner is very welcoming. He always welcomes in every customer, both when you enter and when you leave. Love this place, stay open forever! :)

How did i forget to write a review of this place? Do me a favor disregard all of the reviews for Sakura from before Winter 2013. Sakura came under new management around that time and they really took off running. Especially if you are into rolls you will find some really creative rolls here that are so much more than the tired old rehashing of Kani, avocados, cucumber and some raw fish smothered in topiko and some soy based sweet sauce. reconfigured in a different order and called a different name. Sakura is different. but the thing is it’s not just their rolls. their hot foods are really good. their fried foods are light and flaky. Sakura offers japanese/korean food at a high caliber that you would regret missing because you listened to some old outdated reviews.

One of my favorite naruto rolls ever. Everything I’ve had has been fresh, and tasty. Service can be kind of slow, doesn’t help that one person runs the whole floor when the place is completely packed… otherwise they are really friendly and give free green tea.

Goooood… I mean, realllllly good. It’s cozy and the lunch special is cheap. 2 rolls for $ 8 is worth it. The service was quick and my food arrived even quicker. Thumbs up kiddddddd!
