Great little local steakhouse, quiet, cozy, decent wine list.
We had the cheese platter, burrata, salads and the «Tomahawk» rib eye special which was a nice surprise (also, a great bone for the dog !). A little pricey but it was worth it. We wil definately return, anxious to try the other cuts :-)
ps. they cook the steak to your liking with no snooty attitude a la ‘you know who’.

Very cute restaurant with fantastic food… Octopus was delicious… Service was fantastic… very professional! I highly recommend this place

The stuffed portobello mushroom and beet salad were done well. The NY Strip was cooked perfectly. The seafood medley in the light tomato sauce was everything I wanted it to be and more! The sauce was light and blended nicely with the mussels, clams, octopus, fish, and scallops. This place left a great first impression with me and so did the service. I will be back.

Love Amber! I came here a few months ago and forgot to write a review the food was so delicious! We ordered the mussels in red sauce and the calamari to start then shared a huge steak it was so good! I can’t wait to return

So I’ve been to a good 15 – 20 steakhouses here in NYC. The steak we had, the porter house, was one of the best steaks I’ve had in my entire life (and I’ve eaten approx 200 lbs worth of steak in my life).
Sides were basic, but good. Appetizers were awesome as well.
Highly affordable as well.

Loved this place went about 2 months ago for my birthday. The ambience was nice. The service was great. The steak was delicious and their homemade steak sauce was great.

October 28^th the day before my birthday surprise birthday dinner everything was wonderful the food service the atmosphere great we started celebrating my birthday

Horrible. A waste of a juicy t bone steak. Very under seasoned and salty. We had a cream spinach which tasted like thanksgiving stuffing. My red roasted potatoes were plain and season less. My sister had a filet mignon which had with no flavor. Service was alright. I knew something was up, this place was unusually empty for a restaurant in NYC on a Friday and it explains why! I went for my sisters birthday and we were the only people in the restaurant! I would never eat here again. Go somewhere else if you can def not worth it!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we were really happy with our meal. We got the beet salad appetizer and calamari. I thought it was strange how the calamari was all lumped together so that is why I didn’t give them a 5. We both ordered steaks and they came with sides which was nice. The steak was really good and the place was cozy. I would definitely come back to this place for a good steak. It ranks up there with other steak houses we have been to,

Die Steaks waren gut portioniert und auch wie gewünscht medium. Außen waren beide Steaks zu lang … gefühlt in der Pfanne und nicht auf dem Grill. Mashed potatos war leider kalt. Der Service wirkte leider desinteressiert. Naja …

Celebrated my birthday with a close friend. Ambiance and décor are classy. Music was perfect. Not too loud. Can have a conversation without yelling. Service was excellent. Our waiter and waitress was very attentive. Never had to ask for anything or wait to be served. Food came at the appropriate time between courses. Had the scallop appetizer. It was spiced perfectly and cooked just right. Excellent! I had the duck, it was tender. Nicely roasted. Mashed potatoes and apple filled with beet purée was nice for the duck. My friend had the bone in rib eye med-​rare. Perfectly prepared. Juicy and tender. Incredibly wonderful dining experience.

What a great dining experience! I went on a slow Sunday evening. I was a bit scared off when I saw the empty dining area, second guessing my venue selection. However, I decided this could mean service should be better than normal! And I was right, the staff was courteous and attentive! The house bread was baked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, soft inside. I loved my
Scallop appetizer too. It was such a great start. The filet mignon was normal. I hardly eat lamb shanks, This one was really tender! However, the crème brûlée fell short. I like my crème brûlée less pudding like. But overall, the experience was great. I never felt rushed, I was able to enjoy my food and not worry about the guests waiting for my table.
Also, the prices are pretty fair.

So steak wasn’t on my mind when We were in Greenpoint. After being preggers for 9 months and craving oysters for the bulk of the time, I was desperate for some fresh delicious oysters. Saturday noon would have been crazy to go to Maison Première or Walters our usual oyster spots plus with a toddler and newborn in tow we didn’t want to fight the crowds. We were at Ovenly down the street and someone there mentioned Greenpoint Lobster. We headed in only to realize it was so not kid friendly! High 2 tops and bar stools were the only seating options and so packed!
We walked out sorely disappointed and desperate to get out of the heat (humid 90s) and saw across the street a restaurant that was open. It was empty but with an «A» health grade we figure we would chance it and what a pleasant surprise!
We got the following items:
1) gnocchi appetizer
2) steak tartare
3) escargot
4) bone in Rib eye
5) mushroom side, spinach side, roasted potatoes side, French fries
6) three martinis (for the hubs, not the kids and breast feeding mama)
And everything I gotta tell you was A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G!
We were oohing and aahing at everything that came out. We used to be foodies pre-​babies (seems like forever ago) and always disappointed at new places or even old places that no longer are consistent (hello Aurora Williamsburg) and this experience left us satisfied and keeping this one as a new go-​to.
Service isn’t what you call «friendly» but on point and professional. Our waitress was kind enough to replace a spilled martini that the husband accidentally spilled (note to self: don’t try to crumb your own table, apparently the linen catches and people spill their drinks on the regular).
All in all a great experience and will be back again.

Came here again for a party of 8. Ambiance is great but steaks again were not cooked properly. The sides were delicious, service was good, but it’s risky when it comes to the steaks being cooked properly. Out of the 8 steaks, 4 were medium when requested medium rare. We sent 1 back and it came back rare, but he still ate it.
Not sure if I’ll come back.

I came here for a friend’s birthday. We had a large party of about 10 or 11. I didn’t order the appetizers so I’m not sure on the name but we had a I think tuna tartare and a steak tartare. I enjoyed the steak tartare, the mixture of flavors just worked.
I was excited for the peppercorn filet mignon, I knew what to expect because I’ve ordered it multiple times at other restaurants. I was very disappointed because it tasted very dry and was probably the worst peppercorn filet mignon I’ve ever had. Maybe it’s my fault for not sending it back but I asked for medium rare and it was definitely very medium. My friends’ steaks were all also overlooked as well. All of the «rares» were medium. Although I tried a bite of my finance’s I think it was rib eye (it had a bone) and that was very tasty. So I wonder if they had cooked mine medium rare I would’ve enjoyed it more. I definitely liked that all steaks came with a side so that was a perk. Would not be returning because the steaks were so mediocre and I would get better taste somewhere else for the same price

Went there randomly one night driving by and the food was awesome. Steak can compete with any other steakhouse I’ve been to Shula’s, Peter Lugers. Had the 24ounce rib eye it was cooked to perfection. And the scallop appetizer was everything. Definitely coming back regularly.

I came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and I was a bit disappointed.
I asked for my steak to be medium rare but it ended up to be medium well. The steak was dry and the flavor was bland.
The rest of the food was mediocre but I’m giving this place three stars because the staff was friendly and their garlic butter was delicious.

Weekend visit here and I am sooooo glad I stopped by… Excellent

The food DELICIOUS… yes the bread and butter really is as good as the other reviews say it is;)
The shrimp scampi was perfect… I couldn’t let the waiter take the bowl away… the sauce itself was magnificent…
The Steak was perfect… very large and thick but cooked evenly throughout… seasoned just right. Only thing I didn’t care for was the steak sauce, but I don’t eat steak sauce anyway so I can’t really be the judge of it… I would’ve liked a sweet/​tangy sauce, it was more tomatoe-​ish mixed with A-​1 idk…
Two days later, I’m still eating the left overs from the enormous 48oz porterhouse and it’s still fresh and delicious

I really want to give this place more stars but I have more complaints than compliments. The moment we sat down we were served one of the best bread we’ve ever had. It was accompanied by a house made garlic butter that was to die for. We shamelessly asked for more butter even though most of us only had half a piece of bread left. The best on the house bread and butter, ever.
For starters, we ordered the seared scallops served over mashed avocado. It was delicious but not sure if it’s something I would order again. On the other hand, the fried calamari is definitely reorder worthy. The fried calamari itself were big chunky pieces but the star of this dish had to be the the wasabi aioli sauce, so good.
As for the complaints, it’s within the entrees. 4 out of our party of 5 ordered steak. 2 were medium rare and the other 2 were medium. The 2 medium rare couldn’t stop raving about their steak but the other two lucked out. The medium looked more like a well done. It was hard, chewy and definitely cooked thoroughly. I wish they didn’t mess up on their signature dish. The steak was also a little too charred for my group’s liking. The steaks came with an order of potato. We had mashed and baked potato. The mashed potato is definitely better in my books. I, the oddball ordered the special of the day, Chilean sea bass. Once again, it was overcooked. It was good but a little dry. It was not jaw dropping good or had that feeling of the fish melting in my mouth that I was looking forward to. We also ordered a side of cream of spinach, steamed vegetable and cheesy vegetables. All 3 were just okay. Should’ve skipped on the sides.
Like I said, I really want to give this restaurant more stars but if they messed up on steak, their signature dish, that’s pretty bad. It’s a steakhouse, I expect perfection with the steaks. If my 2 friend’s medium steak came out medium, I would’ve given this place 4 stars. The service was phenomenal. All the waiters/​waitress were so attentive, nice, well mannered and most importantly they smiled. Overall, I like this restaurant alot, not sure if it’s because of the awesome friends I was with it or it was really just that good.

Great spot very delicious Steaks and sides, this is a great place to bring your Family and also Awesome for that Special person in your life.
The Steak is first class very delicious cooked to perfectly, you can not go wrong in coming to this steak house i usually don’t write reviews but i had to share the good news.

I was invited by a friend this past weekend we had reservations but since it was late didn’t look like we needed them.
We were seated right away, once seated I started with some Pinot Grigio, this was my choice for the night great wine can’t go wrong my friend had a Rum & coke also good.
They start u off with a small piece of bread, hot, soft great tasting even better of course when u add some of the delicious garlic butter.
On the appetizer we went with the Shrimp Scampi, decent size shrimp in a great tasting sauce very tasty. The sauce of course great with the bread.
Main meal I tried the 8 oz Filet Mignon, cooked medium rare this was excellent perfect size, nice tender juice piece of steak.
On the sides we had the Mash potatoes very good even better if u add some of the garlic butter.
Broccoli also good, good with the butter as well but better if dipped in the gnocchi sauce.
Final side was the Gnocchi this is Asparagus, Truffle Oil, Parmesan Cheese, Chives in a light sauce oh goodness this was amazing, great tasting & the clear winner for me.
Somehow we manage to have some room left for dessert & tried the Crème Brûlée good choice nice creamy taste nice touch with the strawberry.
The restaurant itself is not very big but a Nice size, good amount of tables plus a
Bar.
Service was good, prices are moderate we had a great meal I definitely would not mind coming back.

Sehr gutes Steakhouse, sehr viele Möglichkeiten das Essen miteinander zu kombinieren, aber da das Fleisch sehr viel ist ist es schwer alles zu essen. Das Fleisch ist top aber die Bedienung könnte etwas freundlicher sein. Für den vergleichbaren, billigen” Preis sehr gut geeignet für ein entspanntes Dinner mit Familie oder Freunden
