I recently found out that this place is not at this address anymore, but I did enjoy that the food was ready instantly. My only complaint was that whenever it was busy, it seemed that I wasn’t allowed to eat at a snails mail, so therefore I had to scarf down my mail, in order for the place to clear a table for the next customer. I understand that it’s a business, however, I didn’t appreciate that there was a short time limit for my lunch.

Avoid-No stars. I had little bones in a take-out order if beef and broccoli. The bones did not come from a cow– or a chicken, pig or fish. When I called Andy’s they said they might be chicken bones and offered me 10 $. They are not chicken bones– they look like they belong to a rat. Needless to say I contacted 311 who likely did nothing. I still have the bones in my fridge and have considered calling the police.

Stay away from this place! We use to come here a few years ago and the food was good. I don’t know what happened! We went on a Sunday & brought an out of town guest. The place looms dirty and the waitress was rude. she slammed our food down on the table and spilled grease from an improperly drained eggroll. I ordered chicken w garlic sauce. my mistake. the chicken taste old so I stopped eating it. I paid for it later when I went home! everyone else ordered general tso chicken which was greasy. We should’ve known not to come here because the place was empty & had a B rating.

Great lunch options. My favorite is well cooked salmon under 10 $ which comes with soup and rice. Quick service and great price!

Very disappointed with this place. My friend, her little girl and I came here for lunch on a Saturday and it was not busy. I ordered a standard chicken and broccoli with a beverage. The waitress brings me my beverage and a glass of ice pour it in. As I pour my soda a roach surfaces to the top of the glass. I informed the waitress and she doesn’t even apologize she just takes the glass away and brings me another filled with ice. Excuse me? what am I pouring in the glass as I just put my soda in the other roach infested glass. She then tells me she will charge me for another soda. Why are you charging me for another soda when it was your establishment’s fault that their was a roach in my glass and my soda was wasted. Because of that my friend and I told her to cancel our order and we left. I didn’t want anything to eat or drink after that experience.

I was looking for a local Chinese with decent food and a Chinese girl recommended Andy’s. They are not perfect but if you order carefully it is always great. Like the Cantonese Steamed Giant Shrimp with Baby Bok Choy.

Worst chicken and noodle soup I have ever had. Broth tasted like dish water. Chicken was stir fried in slime and then thrown on top of «soup». Noodles tasted like they had been sitting out for weeks. I could not bring myself to eat more than a few bites. I guess that is what you get for $ 6. I left hungry and with a bad taste in my mouth.

I would not return to this place. I’m a little incredulous about all of the positive reviews I see for«Andy’s» because my experience was so poor. For the most part my problem was with the lack of cleanliness. For instance my fork and spoon, cup rim, and menu all had food or sauce stains on them from previous patrons. That immediately turned me off. What makes things more difficult is that I brought it to my servers attention and she was annoyed that I wanted them changed. It’s not fair to place dirty silverware in front of me and then get offended when I don’t want to eat with it. Apart from that, the food wasn’t very good and I didn’t enjoy the experience there. I wouldn’t return again.

Not bad. Sesame chicken is a bit weird they send the sauce and breaded chicken separately. However the the general tso is better than that. Delivery is ok, sometimes they take longer even though weather is fine

One of the best Chinese places in the area. Consistently good and well priced. The food is fresh. The inside is also very nice to dine in.

On a visit to my Pop in Brooklyn Heights this restaurant hit the spot. The perfect local Chinese restaurant in a Western environment. The special lunch is an excellent price especially for the pricey Heights. I don’t know why it has some many three stars. Give it a shot.

I love Andy’s!!! Yum, yum — always great food, flavorful, healthy choices & very fast delivery to my office is a massive plus! Lunch specials are very convenient for meetings, delivered hot & fresh. Excellent chow fun, sesame dumplings, chic & broccoli, I could go on & on! Thoughtful ziploc package of utensils, napkins & sauces is a nice touch. Andy’s is a constant in my account! Keep up the fantastic food and service. :)

The boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try after being told this other restaurant was unable to make us our food cause of inspection. LAME. We both order from the lunch menu. He ordered lo mein, which is a stir fry noodle dish along with a wonton soup. The wonton soup comes with the lunch special, just saying. I had hot and sour soup and my entrée was Canton wonton noodle soup. Both were very delicious but I sort of expected more from this place since the place looked a little more fancier than a typical Chinese restaurant. 3 stars b/c the waiters ignored us for a good 15 mins. I was waving my hand like a child in school trying to participate -.- FAIL.

I ordered a lunch special for delivery along with my colleagues and I thought this place did a really good job. I personally ordered chicken and broccoli. It came with some white rice. I like they packaged it into these containers that separated the items. They also gave you a cute mini ziploc type bag with condiments and a fortune cookie. Also, unbeknownst to me, it also included some iced tea! — I love ice tea so this was a very pleasant surprise. I would definitely order lunch from here again.

Ordered some sort of frozen fish, scallop, shrimp, mushroom thing. Don’t exactly remember what it was because all the dishes were drenched in overly salty brown sauce. +1 star for having the option of white or brown rice. It’s also free.

I really like the chinese take out food here. The restaurant itself looks very clean. For the lunch special, they give you a choice of either their own self made iced tea or a spring roll and one chicken wing. This is the first and only chinese take out I’ve seen that gives a chicken wing for lunch special instead of the traditional soup or soda. It’s good for someone who doesn’t want to order an entire order of chicken wings and is just craving for that one piece.

This past Saturday night, I succumbed to hunger and chose to eat at Andy’s. I’ve walked along Montague a handful of occasions, but never ate here. I ordered General Tso’s Chicken($ 11) which came with beautifully steamed broccoli(al dente, just the way I like) and brown rice(no extra cost). I enjoyed eating the General Tso’s chicken a little too much cuz I almost didn’t have leftovers for another meal. I liked the batter on its chicken chunks — it was cakey on the outside. Mmm, deep-fried carbs when I’m not looking at nutrition content. I’d order this again. My friend order the cold sesame noodles appetizer($ 4.25) and chicken w/black bean sauce($ 9.25). He finished both plates which means, he enjoyed eating these dishes. I DID taste the cold sesame noodles which I found to be very salty. The bill accompanied a small plate of pineapple chunks(probably canned) and fortune cookies. That was my dessert and sorta free, YAY.

Andy’s is one of those reliable, high quality Chinese restaurants that I always look forward to returning to. I’ve gone several times for lunch and several times for dinner, and it’s always much more crowded at lunchtime, so avoid the crowds and go for dinnertime, although the lunch menu prices are lower. Andy’s has your standard Chinese restaurant fare with a variety of excellent soups, noodle dishes and meat dishes. Their Sesame Chicken is particularly unique and I recommend it to my friends(well, my friends that are carnivores) and they always love it. The secret(I just figured this out) is that rather than the usual fried chunks of various chicken parts that Sesame and General Tso’s Chicken are comprised of, their Sesame Chicken is actually a variation of Chicken Katsu(think Japanese cuisine), so it’s a bit less mysterious that way. Other recommended dishes include the Beef Chow Fun and for some reason, I think their Wonton Soup is excellent(in retrospect, I just love all Wonton Soup). Service here is great — The wait staff will attend to you diligently and you’ll be served your food at lighting speed, even when it’s busy. Hot tea is complimentary(iced tea is complimentary in the summertime), and you’ll get noodles and duck sauce when you sit down and pineapple and fortune cookies when you get your bill. Prices are very reasonable and we generally end up spending less than $ 15 per person for the entire meal at dinnertime including tax and tip. The restaurant itself is pretty typical for a Chinese restaurant with mauve walls and dark wood, etc., but it is at least very clean and definitely better than most of the other Chinese restaurants in the vicinity. Get the Sesame Chicken. Everyone loves it.
