I wish I could give this place more stars. Right near the subway, decent prices and some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever met.
I went in one night looking for a specific Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. They didn’t have the exact vineyard’s wine in stock but something comparable from the same region. It was fantastic.
They’re always polite and willing to help and tolerate my indecisiveness when I’m picking out a wine.

Like other reviewers, I value the convenient, ‘just-​near-​the-​subway-​entrance’ location of this liquor store. But over a successive number of trips here, I’ve also discovered that the management –the way they run their store – is also solidly deserving of praise. I am now a firm customer and I choose to bring my business here rather than even go to other stores which are in fact, closer to where I reside!
What I’ve noticed is that the store staff (a Chinese family?) are always cheerful, friendly, and cordial. Its genuine good manners, not faked for the sake of business. Every time you enter the store some one of them greets you with a hearty ‘Hello!’ and welcoming smile. Later, when you exit, they always wish you farewell. And they seem to remember you every time you visit.
Any question you have (price, selection) they rush to assist and their English fluency is excellent. And –as another reviewer stated – on Friday and Saturday evening there’s a tiny wine-​and-​scotch tasting station set-​up by the cashier’s checkout counter. Totally fun!!! Free drinks!
This is definitely my go-​to provider of liquor. Sure, Bay Ridge has other liquor stores scattered throughout the neighborhood (the infamous, wealthy ‘Long Family’ clan dominates this sphere) but I’ll go to BRDL (Bay Ridge Discount Liquors) as long as I’m in the area. Stick with what works!
I’m only docking these merchants one star because they usually have terrible muzak playing on the store’s loudspeakers. Why does New York have such hideous musical taste – and why do store owners never think how tortuous it is for customers to be subjected to jangling, grating, jarring muzak? Please, everyone get on Pandora or something. Willya???

A great spot to pick up some alcohol for good prices.
The owners are very friendly and are thrilled to help retrieve or select something for your taste buds or occasion.
There is quite an extensive collection through the store so be careful on ground level not to knock over anything!
This is my go-​to spot for some occasional bottles, right off the subway station and bus stops. Wonderful little shop.

super friendly owners. they always smile and say hello and are always willing to help. they are very knowledgeable and make great recommendations. theyre not looking to rip you off. if i need to buy liquor this is where i go. they even have someone serving wine and cheese on weekends. a genuine friendly smile goes a long way and their prices are reasonable. cant beat that.
if your driving parking is tough in this area. if you double park make sure someone is in the car or you will get a ticket quick.

I’ve only been here twice, once to buy champagne for a New Year’s party and once to look for Roija and Grand Marnier/​triple sec to make sangria with for a freind’s BBQ. Both times, the employees/​owners were very nice and helpful. Knowledgeable, too. They know exactly what brands they have and where it is in the store. And they price is right. Only spent $ 20 and change for a bottle of Roija and a bottle of triple sec. Min. $ 20 if paying with credit card.
