I lived here for 30yrs so it’s my go to Chinese takeout spot. A few years ago the place got new owners and it hasn’t been the same or even consistent. The food is okay– not terrible but not great either. At work we place a very big order once a week and the quality tends to be worse. They delivery quick and follow direction well for any picky eaters. Today the food was pretty good.

My favorite Chinese takeout/​delivery place. My personal favorites: Steamed Pork Dumplings, Roast Pork Chow Fun, Egg Foo Young. Chicken and Broccoli is great too. One time recently, I called for delivery and they actually ran out of Chow Fun, it’s that good! I don’t think I ever had a bad meal from them. They also have Almond Cookies, not too many places have them anymore. I live about a half mile away, delivery is fast and friendly.

Had Chinese again from here. $ 10.95 for sweet and sour shrimp that was soggy as hell. Eggrolls were awful. standard frozen crap. nobody makes homemade egg rolls anymore such a shame

This was a really good place — used to be a 5 star joint on Unilocal for me — BUT it changed ownership sometime in the past few months.
used to be my total favorite — expeically my ‘go to’ for hot and sour soup — cheap — great food — great service. Now takes forever — horrible/​rude service — food has gone totally downhill, too. Mean *&^% at the counter now.
Too bad for Bay Ridge I guess the old owners moved on to something new.
Update: I keep wanting this not to be true and tried again a couple of times — but it’s true — bad — and the woman at the counter’s reall is a bitch — 180 deg. around from the prior owners.mgt.

They’re basically the average Chinese takeout place with an average menu, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Their food never disappoints. The only con to me is that they don’t accept credit cards, but there’s a Rite Aid across the st with a safe ATM.

Well Chinese food in New York is like a dime a dozen. This place is like most with a general menu of a wide variety of fried and steamed items.
I try to avoid fried rice in most places because have you ever seen how they clean the wok with some dam old brush. So I had the General Taos Chicken with white rice. Which was very good but the shrimp roll was eehh, was like they didnt cook it long enough or the oil was not really hot.
