The food is pretty good, especially when you consider the variety here. I’ve had salads, wraps, and juices. They were all huge and filling(aside from the juices) for a decent price. The staff is friendly, and the food is freshly made. You can also watch them put together your salads and wraps so thats always good. You get a little wipe for your hands before you dig in, and there are plenty of seats to sit down and relax. Thumbs up! =]

The food is all right. The TV near the cash register always has NY1 on it. The workers behind the counter are friendly. I always get their $ 4.99 quarter chicken special, which comes with 2 sides. I get yellow rice and potato salad, but they have stuff like mashed potatoes, spinach, corn, dark rice and beans, white rice and beans, cornmeal, and mac & cheese. I never stay to eat, but there’s a lot room to sit and relax. My stomach isn’t killed after i eat here, and I haven’t seen traces of filth here. Until that day comes, I’ll keep eating here.

Oh the college days! Though I didn’t attend BC, just by virtue of being around there to study, I got sucked into this place. They have a large selection of food. You can go as light as a salad or get a full meal with sides: something for everyone! Owner, who is Haitian is friendly and looks like he cares about his business. The ¼ chicken, which is tasty and moist, is their best deal. Goes well with some mac-cheese or veggy rice, with some sweet corn on the side. Most people do take-out but the place is also decent enough to sit & eat. Portions are huge so leftovers are guaranteed(great for poor college students)

They serve fresh juice and salad and grilled chicken on one side & Haitian food on the next. The chicken is usually pretty moist, which is amazing cause grilled chicken tends to be so dry. I like it best with a side of mac and cheese with some pikles and b-b-q sauce. The addition of the fresh juice is what really won me over, I only wish the cups were bigger :) The salad side could be better(ie fresh bacon instead of bacon bits please AND how about some crumbled blue cheese? OR Avocado?) but its not bad, especially with a heaping of the grilled chicken. For the price, you can’t go wrong really. I haven’t ventured to the Haitian food side recently but I don’t remember it being bad at all.

I don’t know how many healthy places you find to eat around BK but I love this place! A GIANT Spinach wrap with chicken, eggs, lettuce, corn, carrots, cucumber, celery, and some ranch. Yum! I seriously was addicted. So addicted I came home to California and made wraps every day for 2 weeks. LOL. Side Note: it was never the same as Best Grilled Chicken and Fish in BK. See you again in August nice man that wraps my food! Owwwww! They have a lot of other stuff that looks good here too like their sides but I haven’t tried them yet!

This place is good and affordable. For less than 8 bucks you get a half chicken and two heaping sides. Their homemade hot sauce is really good, and I have never been dissappointed going here for a quick meal. They are right next to Brooklyn College so it is perfect for students or anyone who prefers a satisfying and delicious quick meal over all the fast food locations nearby.

I know this restaurant as «the chicken place», as does most of the Brooklyn College population. Pretty delicious grilled chicken. The sides are ok, not great. The veggies obviously are frozen or canned before brought out to the front to serve. I’ve had a couple not so great experiences over the 3 years I’ve been at school but the food is good so I go back anyways. The best thing is their salads with chopped chicken. They’re huge and there’s a large selection of toppings available. They’ve recently added a fresh juice option where you see them put the selected fruits and veggies through a juicer, and also cholados. I haven’t tried either, yet. Brooklyn College students and staff save 10% with your ID if you’re not getting a «special» and it’s over $ 5, which is most stuff. Make sure you tell them and don’t just put your ID on the counter. They won’t give you the discount unless you make a point of it. Apparently it used to be a real hole of a bar several years ago. This is a great improvement. They tend to keep some of their Xmas decorations up all year on the ceiling, and there’s a random sink in the dining area. This is one of the only places to get a real meal within steps of the school and I’m happy it’s there.

This is spot that is right next to the Brooklyn College theatres and hence a lot of students pack this place at lunch. It is for a reason though, this place is TAS-TEE! They offer any kind of grilled chicken that you could want and all kinds of sides to go with it, like any rice, veggie, etc. Their salad bar is actually very good for a place whose title says that its specialty is chicken. I got the Best Chop, which is their grilled chicken chopped up on a bed of rice. I had it with some gravy on the rice and their hot sauce on it. Man is the chicken good, some of it can be dry, but for the most part it is very well done and tasty. The portion was HUGE! I thought I got the small, and what I got was at least 2 pounds of rice and chicken for $ 7!!! It could have easily been a meal for two if not three… I highly recommend this place, totally worth the wait if you show up at prime lunch time… as I gladly found out today. :-)
