Three hour delivery time. Rude employees. I began calling asking about my order after waiting for the food to be delivered for 1.5 hours.(I had already tipped %20 prior to ordering) After calling initially, was told food would arrive in 5 minutes. 30 minutes later, I call asking where the order is Im told 5 minutes. 5 minutes later I call just asking them to cancel, they proceed to tell me not to cancel and that they’ll call the delivery driver they’ll call me back. They do not call back. I call back after 15 minutes, asking to cancel my order, I am hung up on. Next call leads nowhere as well; customer service person tells me manager is coming speak to manager, I got fed up and canceled through customer service on beyondmenus.

Instead of getting delivery, I decided to dine-in. This place is in BAD shape, and ugly interior. The owners seem to take no pride in the restaurant. The lighting was really depressing(bulb missing here and there, fluorescent & incandescent mix, making it look like a rundown prison), the bathroom was filthy(the door is smeared black from dirty hands, etc). Make an effort to clean your restaurant and facilities, people! The booth seats were broken. THEPOINTIS, if the restaurant is this messy and neglected, imagine what the kitchen is like. Basically, look at the pictures of the restaurant on Unilocal… looks NOTHING like it. The food? Unfortunately I ordered the chicken vindaloo, veg samosas, mango lassi before got a good look at the place. While the food was alright, nothing stand out… I had a very uneasy feeling about the hygiene. Now, if they are up to code in the kitchen, they could have me fooled with the bad shape the restaurant is in. It’s a shame, the food alone would make this a 3 star rating. But I am giving it a 1 star. Skip this place. There are so many Indian options around this area, go there.

My mom and I ordered from this place for dinner. Upon calling for delivery, the women who was taking our order had an attitude because mom asked if she could get her vegetables separately from the curry goat and also asked for no rice. The lady seemed to hear what she wanted to hear because when we got the food(which we paid too much for) what my mom ordered came out to a container that looked like throw up. Not only was the vegetables swimming with the goat, the vegetables were so over cooked they were melting in this oily soup sauce and they gave us only 3 pieces of goat. When we called to tell her, of course she yelled and screamed and told us we don’t know anything about indian food. Now we are west indians, we may not be asian indians, but really our food is not really that far apart, what they call roti, we also call roti. Only reason we didn’t make this stuff ourselves is cuz we were tired after a long day. The lady on the phone said she’ll talk to the chef and call back, but of course she never did. Listen to the comments people, avoid this place like the plague!

First time eating/ordering from here. I got the lamb Kahari, mushroom poori and 2 orders of nan. It was 18 $ and fed myself and my friend very comfortably… the meat was tender and there were very obvious pieces of fresh ginger and the basamati rice had a few whole cardamom seeds in it which was amazing tasting. This is my new go to place and the delivery time was under 35 mins, considering I live at the furthest delivery radius they serve I was very happy!

DONOTBOTHER! I had a horrible experience with both the food and the customer experience. I ordered vegetarian samosas, 2 vegetarian main dishes and naan and waited in the restaurant for the food. When I got home(a 5 minute walk from the restaurant), the naan was already cold and 1 of the main dishes had been crushed and exploded all over the bag. I called the restaurant and asked for a replacement and at first they refused and then they became rude and told me to call back in an hour because they were too busy(oh, haha, the restaurant would actually be closed in an hour). I finally convinced them to deliver a new meal and it was some of the worst Indian food I’ve ever had.

This place is horrible, specifically when ordering in. It took 2 hours to get to me, every time I called for an update the person on the other end was no help, if anything hostile. I think they just have one delivery driver in hopes you’ll blame the delivery guy instead of the restaurant… And besides the almost comically bad customer service, the food is actually pretty bad, definitely no better than the 10+ restaurants within a mile radius. The curry is watery(more like soup) and the samosas are poor quality. Honestly the ONLY way this place could possibly still be in business is people probably confusing them with the delicious Bombay Heights. Do Brooklyn a favor and order elsewhere.

I started with a vegetable sahmosa; it tasted good, but when I got to the bottom of it, it was raw dough, I showed the waiter, and she offered to make another one. the next one was hot and crispy and I bit into a piece of cooked cinnamon(I guess you could never win) it comes with an arrangement of dipping sauces. also I ate the vegetables kanahi, it had bits of raw ginger, I thought that was a bit strange, lucky for them I like ginger, so I did not complain, other than that, it was tasty… the staff are really really polite, the older cashier(maybe the owner) calls people baby and sweetie.,

We chose this place cuz it said the food will come in 30 – 40 mins. Food came around 2 hours. This was probably the WORST chicken tikka masala ever. Chicken was dry, very watered down, and for some reason it tasted like sweat water. Oh and there was a long piece of hair in it. At least the coke-a-cola I ordered taste good. Just bad experience all around. I don’t recommend this place at all, unless you want to try sweat water.

Horrible experience. Our seamless order came in 2 hours 5 min, after the estimate was 30 – 45 min. Which happens, but the restaurant was rude, abusive, yelling at us, and giving wrong information when we called. I rarely write bad reviews and try to give the benefit of the doubt, but I hope this does not happen to you. Oh there was a metal shard in our Biryani.

DONOTORDERFROMHERE! I ordered on seamless and WAITEDTWOHOURSFORMYFOOD. I called three times and got a different excuse each time for why my food was not there, including one time when the restaurant yelled at me for having cancelled my order, which I had not done. The food was fine, except for the 2-inch PIECEOFMETALINTHEDISH!

Don’t bother. The wait for the food was horrendous. An hour and a half! After many placed calls to bombay curry, the food arrived, soggy and in a sad state. Just terrible. I had the dinner special, which was not too good. The sag paneer was bland, which only 3 chunks of cheese inside. The only slight saving grace was the vegetable samosa and the Naan. The filling was very flavorful and the dough was crisp. The naan was surpisingly warm and slightly sweet. I really enjoyed it. Dessert– the Gulab Jamon was so incredibly sweet. Made my teeth ache.

I wish I hadn’t mixed up Bombay Curry with Bombay Heights when I ordered on Seamless. It wasn’t until we got to a 1 hour wait(30 – 45 minute delivery time per Seamless) that I realized my error. The food finally got delivered around the 2 hour mark. I called several times and was told that it would be delivered in 2 – 3 minutes each time. They stalled me on the phone trying to reach the driver so I wouldn’t cancel. When the delivery man finally called, he had the wrong address. The food of course was lukewarm. The samosas were a bit too doughy for my liking. We all just scarfed in our meals because we were so hungry, so I can’t comment much about the taste. I’ll stick with Bombay Heights in the future.

Ordered delivery through . My order came in around 47 minutes. Which was to be expected, especially even during lacklustre Juno. Anyways, here’s what you need to know: Price: I got the dinner special($ 11.95) which is one appetizer, one entrée, one dessert and naan. Sounds like a good deal, right? Portions: The container that the chicken tikka masala came in was around the size I thought it would be. It seemed like it was emptier than it should have been but upon eating, the small portion I had was enough and I have leftovers which is great. The rice was in a small white takeout container, not a bad portion. Again, more than enough for me. I got begum pakora as my appetizer and it came with 3 – 4 pieces, not bad. However… the gulabjamon came in a tiny plastic container and it was just one ball. Disappointing. I guess I can’t be too upset because it’s part of an already well priced dinner special but. come on. The piece of naan was huge and got me through two small servings of my meal. Taste: I’ve never had begum pakora before today so all that I know about them is that they’re supposed to be crispy. The ones I received were not. I’ve read in past Unilocal reviews that people receive their pakora or samosas in soggy form. Although they were very soft, they were very good. The chicken tikka masala wasn’t bad, but I can’t say that I’d want to order from this place again. I’d rather spend less on two boxes of the frozen stuff from Trader Joes. The sauce was way too sweet, no spice at all whatsoever. I only like it lightly spicy but this was ridiculous. The garlic naan was wonderful. I haven’t tried the gulabjamon yet and will update this review once I have. Overall, I think I had a little too much faith in this place. It’s not terrible but I have high standards when it comes to consistency in flavour and this did not meet mine.

This is a fine place for cheap Indian delivery(if cheap is what you’re really going for). My lunch was a great deal: soda, side, chicken vindaloo, rice for under $ 10. However, the execution was lacking. My soda came as a regular coke instead of diet, the rice was blander than I usually get with Indian food, and the vindaloo was very thin with the exception of a couple chicken chunks and a potato. Not a horrible meal, but I’ll keep looking for an alternative.

Felt like it was a good night for some delicious Indian food and I submitted a simple delivery order to Bombay Curry for okra and samosas. After the getting the confirmation my delivery order(from Seamless) would take a max of 40 minutes, I waited for about 1 hour and a half and called Bombay Curry to see what was going on. The person on the other land said she wasn’t sure where the delivery person and kept repeating how far I lived from the restaurant – nevertheless Bombay Curry confirmed my order and the delivery time via seamless. After what seemed like true confusion about the location of the delivery person from Bombay Curry’s end(on a night with no weird weather issues or anything) I just decided to cancel my order. The person at Bombay Curry told me they would find my order about 3 times, but finally said they would refund my credit card.(Also never got apology on phone, but that’s the last of the problem here). They never refunded my credit card – despite a promise to do so – and I ended up having to call Seamless twice to do so. With the delivery service issue, the confusion on the phone about a very simple order, and the misinformation about the refund combined, I will never order from this place again. Indian-food lovers beware!

Food: 7⁄10 Price: 9⁄10 Service: 7⁄10 Came in on a cold evening with the intention to eat in but there didn’t seem to be any heat inside the restaurant. My gf and I tried different seats but no matter where we sat, it was freezing. We decided to change our order to take out instead, and they were very accommodating. It seemed like there were a lot of delivery orders and we had to wait a while. When we attempted to pay by credit card, however, they said the machine was broken — would have been nice to know that while we were waiting(could’ve walked over to an ATM during that time) but fortunately we found extra cash. Our food was still hot when we walked back to our apartment. We had ordered the dinner special for two, which comes with 2 soups, 2 sets of appetizers(including 2 of the hugest samosas I’d ever seen!), 2 mains(we had the chicken saag and shrimp curry), 2 boxes of rice, 2 packages of naan and accompanying sauces, and 2 small desserts. Everything tasted great — bright flavors but not overpowering; it all went well together. As ravenous as we were, by the end of our meal it looked like we barely made a dent in our food! Though it was unfortunate that we couldn’t eat in, the price and flavors made it all worth it.
