A wonderful place! My seven year old son has been fencing at Dan Kellner’s club for almost a year and we love the atmosphere and the high quality of the teaching. The owner, Dan, is a former Olympic fencer and now a coach and his colleague Brendan competed globally at a high level at a very young age. Their experience means that even the youngest children learn to fence to a very high standard, whilst having lots of fun in the process! in the large space, children’s lessons often take place alongside experienced fencers preparing with Dan for tournaments all over the world. It is inspiring for children(and their parents!) to watch high level fencers in action and to listen to their experiences. Dan is both experienced and laid back — his older students seem to genuinely like and respect him — there is a lot of joking, banter and warmth here — it is nice for the children to see. This is not a pushy children’s fencing club — but a club for all fencers who take their sport seriously and who enjoy it. It is a good place to be part of.
