Brooklyns Best Locksmith & Hardware

This place is a sham.
They take advantage of customers to make extra money. The service person (Christopher Burgos) who came out, relayed back and forth with his ‘central’ to change the price and then constantly threaten to call the police on me when the price skyrocketed over $ 700 and the original price was less than $ 100.
They took my license and we’re trying to negotiate taking my personal belongings in addition to cash.
DO NOT USE!

Alan, I never said I have bed bugs! This purchase was preventative! I haven’t seen a bed bug!
I was told that only you can return or exchange… no one else! you are never there. I even tried looking for you at other locations! Plus I was leaving phone messages at several locations.

My experience is at the Avenue N store. There are other locations… all the same owner, Alan P. Butrico.
I bought a mattress cover that is supposed to keep out the bed bugs. I put it on the bed, added a mattress pad and my set of sheets. A few months later when it was time to turn the mattress, I saw that the mattress cover I bought from Brooklyn’s Best was not strong, in fact had a hole in it [how do you keep the bed bugs out?], and the surface was separating. It looked like everytime I turned part of the top layer was peeling.
When I attempted to take it back I was told that only the owner could make a decision about a return.
I only want to exchange it!
I have made multiple attempts, and at other locations, to call and find Alan. And I hear he’s hard to find. I’d call Avenue N and they’d guess that he was at the Coney Island Avenue store so I’d go there. No Alan.
I discourage anyone from doing business with Brooklyn’s Best since they obviously don’t stand behind their merchandise. They do not operate in a way that’s good consumerism.
