Bunch of Bagels

Would give 3 ½ if it were a Unilocal option.
Prices were good, Snapple and toasted sesame with regular cream cheese $ 3.05 after tax.
Bagel was good not amazing– but I came late and got it toasted, can’t speak for their fresh out of the oven bagels.
Would have like to try the whole wheat everything but they were out.
Only two bar chairs at the front window sill/​counter. They have room two tables but must have decided against it…: /

This review is solely based on their prices. I paid $ 8 for a HARD bagel with turkey, swiss, lettuce, and tomato. Now, any Brooklyn native will tell you that’s ridiculous– I could’ve gone around the corner and paid $ 6.50 TOPS! After speaking with my fiancé, a frequent customer, I find out they’re charging 2.75 for a regular iced coffee? Again go around the block you pay $ 2.00−2.25. The place is clean, and there is a decent selection of food for purchase however compared to other neighborhood stores– they’re overpriced.

Great staff. Great heros. Great selection. Always hits the spot when I want something quick and on the go.

Don’t accept credit cards??? Ok fine… Don’t accept credit cards AND don’t have an ATM on the premises… not fine. Raining wandering around in the rain looking for a bank is not fun. ATM vendors put the machines in for free and the stores make money on them, make an effort for customer convenience. Food was fine, service was fine, convenience was not, it’s 2013.

Bagels are great here. They make fantastic sandwiches and wraps as well. Very fast and friendly. No Complaints.

The big problem with Bunch of Bagels isn’t their quality or selection (they’re adequate) but that the staff moves at a GLACIAL PACE.
Order a bagel? Be ready to wait 5+ minutes for that single bagel to be toasted and handed to you.
Order two iced coffees for you and your friend? Literally a 10 minute wait.
The best part?
You’re the only customer in there!!!
AHHHHHHHHH what are they DOING BACK THERE?! Maybe I’m just used to commuter/​efficient breakfast service but the staff clearly has no intention of caring about you or your time.

I dropped by this place because it was pouring and I was hungry early in the morning. I was pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming staff with a large selection of food from bagel sandwiches and wraps to baked goods, snacks and drinks. The coffee was nothing to write home about but the bagel sandwich was really good. Thanks for the shelter from the rain and the tasty breakfast.

Much less packed then bagel boy and the bagels are just as good. Their whole wheat everything bagel is awesome.

Bagel Boy? I am driving you to Ikea at 9:30AM on a Saturday morning and this is a bagel place you bring me to? C., you’ve known me for 7 years and should know better.
Truth be told I’ve never been to that particular BB on 3^rd Ave, but I wholeheartedly believe that weekend breakfast is one of those sacred pleasures in life that should never be compromised. Having have visited the one in my ‘hood I wasn’t about to start my weekend on the wrong foot.
‘We’re walking until we find a real bagel place’ I said. He really needed new furniture and had no choice but to comply.
About 5 minutes of walking and we found an independent looking bagel place, walked in and ordered our bagels. He had a toasted cinnamon raising bagel with butter and I got a plain bagel with plain cream cheese and smoked salmon. We both got these cool sodas in antique looking bottles. Mine was cherry something or other and I can’t remember what his was.
Unfortunately they only have a 3 seat counter and no tables so we were forced to get our food to go. We ended up eating it on a bench in front of a closed bar. I love BK.
My bagel was ok. The outside was a little too crispy and hurt my mouth and the inside was too dense for my liking. The salmon was fresh enough not to complain about it but not fresh enough for me to be overjoyed. His bagel on the other hand was delicious and perfect and chewy. Our sodas? Yum.
I appreciate B of B for being there and saving me from a fate far worse then an overly crisp bagel, so I am rounding up the true rating of 2.75 stars.
