By far the best iced coffee in the city. Why is it the best? Because the ice they use in the coffee IS frozen coffee so your coffee is not diluted. Wow and yum.

This place seems to be out of business. I live in the neighborhood and have tried to come by many times based on other reviews posted here, but whenever I do the door is gated and there are elderly people sitting on a couch in the back of the shop watching tv who wave me away.

Pretty cool old-time neighborhood vibe, but $ 3.00 for the smallest americano they had seems very steep

The iced coffee is to die for! Most bizarre café ever, I feel like I’m walking into a real life episode of the twilight zone. No idea how much a coffee actually costs as every time I’ve been charged a different price. Old school Italian couple own the joint. Desk tilt worth checking this place out.

Cutest little place that I happened to discover by chance. I was drawn in initially by all the signs that said«best iced coffee». However since it is freezing outside, I opted for a cappuccino and was instantly thrown back into my days of living in Italy. Great quality, flavor and to top it off– it was served by the owner, Joe, who was just so sweet. Forget the chain coffee shops, this is the real thing! Plus they have other little gems of snacks and italian products.

Like a walk down memory lane. was taken here as a surprise… it reminded me of visiting my old late relative’s homes in the Bronx. Cutest old couple were sooo nice and the crushed iced coffee was great and soo cheap and I loved the frozen chocolate drink the nice man made me! They sell old throwback things I haven’t seen in 25 years. 5 stars well deserved.

With no exaggeration… literally the best iced coffee! I feel like the crushed ice just takes it to another level. And drinking it out what I would consider a hot coffee cup vs a plastic cup with a straw adds to the experience. So happy to have this treat down the block!

Best iced coffee ever! It’s made from a gelato machine so it comes out all crunchy and flavorful. And it won’t get watered down by regular ice since all the ice is made out of coffee. It’s run by two Italian-Americans who have been in the neighborhood forever(and they are sweet as pie) so it feels like a blast from the past. They also have some other Italian treats if you’re in the mood for a sweet.

Lovely small coffee shop. The owners are just darlings. Ordered a large ice coffee with one sugar, medium. I have to admit, I was not a coffee drinker until now! Absolutely delicious.

Absolutely adore this place. The owners are so warm and make your drink exactly as requested. Best vanilla iced coffee around, plus I love the small, crunchy ice. I always leave with a delicious drink in hand and a huge grin on my face!

My favorite cup of coffee in the neighborhood. They make it just how you want it and it’s always fresh never burnt. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area. The owners are super sweet and the shop is very homey.

This is the OG coffee shop of the neighborhood. Predates all the gentrification. No fluff. Amazing coffee. Feels like stepping back in time.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who is totally charmed by their sign and kitschy décor. It’s the real deal, and so are the people running the place. I’m accustomed to getting the stink eye when I go into neighborhood places like this, but that was not the case at all. The man behind the counter was super sweet to me and everyone else — he was on a first name basis with everyone else who came in. It really was like hanging out in someone’s living room, which is normally the sort of thing that would make me feel anxious, but this place was totally great. It was too cold for iced coffee, so I’ll have to go back in the summer.

I don’t think there is much need for me to elaborate further from other reviewers. BESTICEDCOFFEE hands down and it doesn’t hurt the nicest people who have ever lived own the place. Don’t buy your coffee anywhere else if you can buy it here. Seriously. Just do it, you’ll feel so good about yourself.

This place is an absolute gem! My friend and I had to try this place after seeing that they’re known for thee BEST iced coffee in NYC. We came here and were greeted by Joe, an incredibly welcoming kind soul. Get the iced coffee. We were coffee noobs so Joe offered us a sample and we were hooked! I ordered the vanilla iced coffee which was perfect. Surprisingly not too sweet and just the right amount of everything. My friend got the hazelnut iced coffee which was also delicious. Their iced coffee really is the best! The proof is also in the newspapers displayed on the walls. But what makes this quaint little café so charming are the workers. It was so nice to hear Joe’s stories – from growing up in Italy to starting his business. Caffe Capri has such a wonderful neighborhood feel that’s so rare in bustling cities. I’m definitely coming back on my next visit :)

What? But how? Without a doubt the best iced coffee I have ever had in my life. And I am not just saying that because I just finished a morning run and it was the first thing I drank. It was like an angle flew down and spat coffee in my mouth. Cold brewed: Presweetened: Crushed ice chips made of frozen coffee: Gift from God: Nough said!

I love Caffe Capri. It’s a no fuss, small café run by some very old(and adorable) Italians. They love to sit in the back of the café and chat all day and the best part is they keep their Christmas decorations up well after the holiday(and new year) has passed. They claim to have the best iced coffee in NYC and I really have to agree with them. I’ve stopped in for Iced Coffee a couple of times and it’s saved me! I love chatting with the older gentleman that works there. He is very sweet and reminds me every time I go in that they have the best coffee in all of New York City. How rad is that?! Heads up — they only accept cash payment. If you are like me and don’t carry much cash on you, no worries, the laundromat next door has an ATM.

Alright, admittedly, my rating is 90% for the atmosphere of this place. The drinks are fine, I’m sure the cannolis in the suspicious container behind the counter are delicious, but what I really love this place for is having buckets of character, and always available seating. You can order a plain tea here, park your butt down, and sit for three hours and the owner will just smile and say you’re pretty(or at least, he will if you’re a girl; not sure otherwise). The décor is so honestly kitschy and Sinatra’s crooning from the sound system. It’s almost impossible to believe that Hipster mecca is just outside the café’s doors. Go, with a book or a good friend, relax and let time just pass by.

The loveliest place ever! Forget about Starbucks, Caffe’ Capri is the place to EXPERIENCE coffee. Real authentic Italian place that will take you to another time and place: think Italy in the 70s. Everything is authentic, even the pastries & biscuits they sell on the counter! So good to walk into an unpretentious authentic place in the neighborhood. HIGHLY recommended!
