Campus Mercante

Let me start off by saying that I almost never take the time to write a Unilocal review, however, my consistently awesome experience with Campus Mercante totally warrants one.
The best way to describe a shopping experience at Campus is with three words; simple, easy, and cool. The employees and owners of the shop are unbelievably helpful. They provide really helpful insights on trends and their opinions on what works for you and never in the way that they are trying to sell you something. They talk to you like a human being and ask you what styles, sizes, and colors you like to wear. They never rush you into making a decision and never overwhelm you with too many options (although the store is stocked with a variety of great brands). Somehow, given so many interesting and non-​common place brands, they still manage to keep the prices at reasonable levels to really allow you to get some pieces to mix and match.
I definitely want to take a second to talk about the breadth of the selection. No two pieces alike. The designers that the owners have chosen to be in the store are really well curated. Styles that can be contrasted to show a variety of personalities across age groups. Rarely can you say that a store has something for everyone. The curated brands goes hand in hand with how intricately and aesthetically the store is laid out. It’s a store with hand crafted racks and commissioned work on the walls (the logo and the outside of the store).
The store does a great job of giving you all of the local feel that Brooklyn is known for while providing you the quality and unique merchandise that you’d find only in a specialty store in Manhattan. If you want to find unique gear at a fantastic price with an enjoyable shopping experience, I highly recommend checking out Campus Mercante.

I recently ordered a pair of shorts on their website (which I’ve been dying to find) but since I won’t be home to pick it up I called and asked to see if it was possible if I can come pick it up. They allowed me to pick it up and everything went excellent. Small little shop with many brands of clothing. Very helpful employees also. Overall, great experience doing business with them and will definitely be back !
