Selection was insane, crust was perfect. I walked in to grab a slice to go and ended up sitting and eating three.

I had ordered 2 slice and a can of Sprite. I had say the pizza is okay. But not for the price. $ 2.75 pre slice. I rate 3 stars because it okay.

Great place for cheap but strong drinks. Just the way to start my Thursday evening. They have it separated into two sections. One more family orientated and the other just like a regular sports bar. A lot of tvs as well to watch all games !!

As someone who grew up in NY/NJ I can say I’ve had my fair share of delicious pizza. Carmine’s does not disappoint. Large variety of pizza from thin crust to hearty deep dish and everything in between, from classic plain slices to advanced topping varieties this is authentic Brooklyn pizza. Grab a slice or 2 and go to their bar area next door to have a beer and watch sports on their wall of TV’s.

My review is based only on one food I get there: Jamaican patty(maybe they call it Italian?!) with cheese. I plan to try pizza in couple weeks so I might update this review. The staff is polite and takes orders very quickly. It always takes 5 minutes to get my patty, but it’s worth waiting for it. Alice orders are usually served within 2 – 4 minutes. Delivery guys are always polite when we(customers) block their way and say«excuse me». The place isn’t cheap(more like $$) and I’d call it above average pizzeria(by quality). It also has a restaurant and a bar so the place is basically a pizza take out/stay in and the restaurant with the bar in another room. Bathrooms are very clean.

Came here on a Sunday at 715 and was quickly informed we were still in «happy hour». Just like that I had a feeling we were on the way to a five star review. This place is half Italian homey charm restaurant and half NY neon light sports bar. HH got us a pitcher of Brooklyn lager for $ 15. Ordered the Vince Lombardi pizza which swept me off my feet; love at first bite. Spicy sausage, mozzarella, sauce, but the greatest surprise of all was the amazing thin crust! So crispy from that brick oven that all the soggiest toppings in the world couldn’t cause even a slight droop. You can pick this stuff up with one hand and be amazed as your crust defies the laws of physics. This thing is like the Atlas the Titan; nothing bringing it down. I also got Carmine’s favorite hero which had grilled hot peppers, thin chicken cutlet and mozzarella. This thing came out piping hot. Definitely worth burning my face on. Of course the semolina loaf it was on was fresh and oven crisped(I always feel that bread is overlooked, but not here). Come to this unassuming spot and you’ll quickly realize why pizza in New York is a thing.

My friends raved about this place so I was really excited to take the drive and try it. I’ve never been so disappointed. I got home to find they messed up my order and I paid $ 28 for a pie that more closely resembles cardboard than pizza. It was supposed to be the 3 cheese and I received a pizza with no sauce and only mozzarella. It is so devoid of taste, I’m throwing the entire thing out. If I didn’t live 20min drive away, I would be back at the restaurant to complain in person and demand a refund. Super duper disappointment, I won’t be returning.

I don’t recommend take out. The mozz sticks were terrible. Inedible. The lasagna was good. Pizza fair. We had the pepperoni and sausage. Salad was good. When I called the restaurant to see if they had my order they said we don’t take orders from Unilocal.A few minutes later my food arrived. About 45 minutes to get delivery. We were .2 miles from the restaurant. Cheesecake was good as well. Bottom line is this experience was middle of the road. After reading the other reviews before I ordered I was expecting more.

i love this place! they have a lot of variety. I havent tried their cheese slice, which i would normally judge a pizzeria by, but their specialty pizzas are delicious and i wish i had more room in my belly to try them all. Needless to say i will be back to try them all :)

Visited Carmine’s sports bar this Sunday for football… Pros — beer, lots of screens, large area. Great place to go to watch the game and have some beers. Cons — food. I was unimpressed with the selection of bar food. It’s a bar serving Italian food and is not customized to the experience. The menu should focus on burgers, wings, and bar food first. They had one burger(jumbo cheese burger?) and one type of wings… Furthermore the specialty heros were poor. I’d love to see them improve the menu…

Fantastic. Great selection of different pizza slices plus the standard stuff executed very well. Staff is very friendly and many seem to have been part of the staff for many years, for all the best reasons. Delicious food, very reasonable prices. My go-to for a long time now. Try it, you won’t regret it.

Always judge a NY pizzaria based on their cheese slice. It’s okay. Nothing fantastic. Crust is a little too dense, pizza is a little too thick, overall a bit salty. But these are all super nit picky details — still overall really good and better than most NY pizza you get outside of this city. Joe’s in the city is still my favorite. Service is standard, no nonsense. Nice casual place to grab a quick slice with a dining room if you want to sit. They have waiter service next door too if you want to actually make it a dinner.

Solid pizza. The crust is a little too thick and not crispy enough. But they do use fresh mushrooms which is always nice to see. Their fried zucchini is sliced sort of oddly, almost like long potato chips. It means some bites are almost all batter, I think the traditional stick form is the way to go. Their marinara sauce is also really, really sweet. I wouldn’t mind seeing that dialed back a bit.

It’s places like this that make me miss NYC(or specifically Brooklyn) Pizza. Having moved an hour upstate 2 years ago, I can’t just walk around the corner and grab a good slice anymore. Came here on a Friday night while visiting the sister in law and instantly felt saddened that this type of place does not exist by me. On one side you have your basic walk-up counter and sit down pizzeria, and on the other a big open sports bar with tables and waiter/waitress service. A plethora of local sports team items on the walls and plenty of TV’s so nobody has to fight over whether or to watch the Mets or Yankees play. The pies on the menu here were more specialty based, but you can get something that’s available on the other side as well. I can’t remember the name of the pie(named after a retired athlete for sure) that I went with, but it was a nice hot sopressata with hot peppers. Nice and spicy pie with some good flavor. My wife and her sister in law had a less spicy more basic pie but absolutely loved it as well According to her boyfriend, this is a great place to watch a game and was packed house during Rangers playoff hockey games. If you live in the area, it’s a can’t miss and something I absolutely recommend. My sister in law and her boyfriends are moving to Austin Texas(work purposes) but that doesn’t mean I won’t return here on my own or with other friends in Brooklyn in the future.

Why order domino’s pizza, Pizza hut of order pizzeria chain when you live in the authentic little italy of brooklyn? I used to go all away to bushwick for a cheap and good pizzeria when I discover Carmine. There is 2 thinks that I like at this place and that s totally enough to put a 5 stars. I will be quick: 1– the food. Fresh, original and good 2-the atmosphere. A local pizzeria with a mix of senors from the hood and a young hippie crowd.

#Carmine’s Sports Bar is finally open! It’s big and has a lot of #TV’s. I wish this place existed during the nine years I lived nearby. I used to have to walk all the way to #Mulholland’s to watch sports back in the day. It’s interesting how there’s no #hipsters in the sports bar. It seems like a lot of Brooklyn-Italian locals. It’s pretty full and I’m the only hipster in there. I guess I would see some of these people back in the old #Carmine’s small dining room. But this is A LOT more people now. Where did they go before this #sports bar opened? It’s like a new hangout they can finally call their own in their own neighborhood. It’s like they’re set #free.

Tonight was our… giving them a second chance pizza night and they totally blew it. We ordered the meatball and mushroom pizza and it was freezing cold! The cheese was hard and being pregnant and starving … I wanted to walk over and throw the box at them. Haha. Instead I called and they agreed to take the charges off our card. The cheese sticks tasted frozen and the chicken tenders were the only edible thing but still cold. I’m starving and pissed but will still give them a break by saying their chicken parm is really yummy. We have ordered it several times and it’s a 10. Why can’t they get get their pizza delivery together? I will never order pizza from them again. :-/

Go to place for pizza by the slice in East Williamsburg. Just how I like it, thin and crispy crust, hot and great classic pizza. Cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, sausage all super! They also have speciality pizza which is delicious. Not much ambience eating in here but always hustle & bustle atmosphere. Really great tasting pizza though which is what really counts! Prices are so inexpensive and great portions for the $$. Good service and friendly staff.

Carmine’s is always busy. Staff is nice though, service is good and the pizza is delicious. Every slice I had was great. Thanks to the high volume of customers, the Pizza is always fresh. Only negative, the dough is not the best. It’s good when it’s warm, it gets a little stale when cold though. So, eat it while it’s hot! Recommended.
