Came during happy hour and was surprised! They have great deals on drinks, $ 5 for wells drinks(gin and tonics, rum and coke, etc) and $ 1 off beers and more. They also have a $ 20 for 5 shots of Jameson! Which I didn’t get because it was a Monday evening but definitely sounds fun. Along with cheap drinks, each order comes with a free pizza! The pizza is cooked well, and takes about 5 – 10 minutes each order. You can pay $ 1 extra for any topping(bacon, mushroom, sausage, jalapeño, olives). Great place to stop by for drinks and pizza if you’re in the Williamsburg area. One star off because it was pretty loud for 5pm, and too dark. Would be great for an after party or pregame place, but a little too much for evenings.

Really enjoyed the vibe of this place. The beers were okay– I mean, what can you really expect, right? I liked the fact that you had the option to play games since most bars that I’ve been to really don’t have much to offer in terms of activities. Definitely will be returning.

Fresh out the Unilocal NYC office this is my first review since working there. The Charleston is the kind of place that needs to be reviews with known standards in place. If you are looking for amazing service, the cleanest surface this is not your place and if you write a bad review because of those reasons you a fuck fuck Cheap prices, $ 5 corona, unheard of in NYC. PIZZAWITHEVERYDRINK. This place is the shit.

Found this spot while walking around after dinner at a nearby restaurant with some friends. I can’t wait to go back! Spacious, clean, drinks are priced well and pizza! Yes, pizza! I believe the pizza was for $ 1. We were so stuffed from dinner we decided against the pizza but everyone in the place was eating it. The location is great right around the corner from the L train Bedford Avenue stop. What more could you ask for right? Well, on top of all these great things in the back are two skee ball machines, a hunting game, and photo booth that takes dollars as well as cards! I can’t wait to go back there with more friends and actually try the pizza and spend lots of money on skee ball and photo strips. And of course DRINKS!

The BEST dive bar. Great deals on drinks and a good spot to play games and hang with friends. Love the happy hour idea & deals on pints/shots combo. Will be returning!

Pretty great place. Its all about weird drink combos. They have one called the friendmaker? its 5 shots of jameson for $ 20. To be honest, if I got that, my friends would hate me. Anyway, cheap beer, cheap pizza, nice staff and skeeball. The only issue I had is that their were so many hipsters though I dont know what I was expecting going to a bar in brooklyn.

Charleston is a dive bar on Bedford Street with TVs, cheap drinks, $ 1 pizza and expensive skee-ball. The bar is low-key and a fun place to stop by if you want to catch the end of a sports game, or just want to get intoxicated, but other than that, there is nothing that would draw me to this bar on a regular basis. Skeeball is $ 5 for 9 sets of balls which is ridiculously priced if you think about it. You could easily waste lots of money on skeeball here if you wanted to or you could spend very little chowing down on $ 1 sub-par pizzas and $ 5 beers.

This is one of those stop in bars before going to a show — which is exactly what I did. This place has beer and shot specials, a jukebox which means the vibe is eclectic, free personal pan pizza with every drink(though you have to make sure you ask, our bartender did not offer =[), enough space for seating though probably hard to come by on a busy night. Bathrooms were divey but clean and locked. Overall definitely a place to stop in while on your way somewhere or a good place to people watch with friends. Loud so it would be hard to carry on a conversations but entertaining none the less.

An okay bar, drinks are okay and bartenders are surprisingly nice even on the busy evenings. I would say this is a good pregaming spot and it’s right off the L train stop, literally footsteps away. Bouncers are nice too!

Not my type of scene as this place attracts a very interesting crowd I shall say. The music is all over the place as they play every genre imagine, hip hop, old music, rock n roll, heavy metal. The drink deals are amazing I shall say. $ 20 for a pitcher of beer and they have a awesome selection of beers to choose from. That’s pretty much paying for 5 beers for $ 4 each. And it isn’t Coors Light or Budlight, It was good quality beer too!

Dollar pizza and $ 8 Picklebacks. What more could I ask for. Lol. Definitely a dive bar. Bathrooms are filthy but the service is awesome and it has a convenient location.

I haven’t been there in years. Management or staffs have changed? Worst experience in my life. I can tell they do not clean their beer taps.

I always have a great time at the Charleston. It’s your typical bar right on Bedford Avenue. They have great deals and perks, like free pizza with every drink, cheap shots and drinks, and skeeball. It’s a hipster’s paradise, for sure. The pizza is my favorite part. They make it right in their kitchen. $ 1 extra for each topping. The best times I came here was on my 21st birthday and New Years Eve. For my birthday, my friend and I came here during the day. We had a blast all day, drinking, eating free pizzas, mingling with the bar tenders, and more drinking. It was so chill and so much fun. For New Years, I took my boy friend at the time here. It was obviously packed, but somehow were able to get a seat. We had pizza, drank a lot, and even got to play skeeball. It was a great place to pregame before we went to the club we got tickets for. If you’re looking for a chill, cheap place to drink and eat bar food, I’d recommend the Charleston. It gets a little crowded on the weekends, but not as crowded as some places around Williamsburg can get.

I came here with my friend while walking around Williamsburg on a Wednesday night. We went in and had a few drinks. The place got packed for a week night, and had a fun diverse crowd. We didn’t try the pizza you get with each drink though, so I’ll have to come back to do that one day. The music was good and they had a nice beer selection. I would definitely come back.

I’ve come to this bar for years and the only thing I’ve noticed that has changed(and improved) was the beer selection. While it does get crowded with obnoxious hipsters and douchelords, and it does look and smell dirty, it can be fun if you’re with the right crowd who appreciates bad music, the not-so-great free pizza, and cheap tallboys. That pizza does hit the spot, though, and it’s free before 8pm with a drink, and a dollar($ 1!!) afterward.

I’ve been to this bar a couple of months back during the winter and completely forgot about it. It seems like a different place during the summer. There’s a jukebox with almonst any song imaginable. Alcohol — beer and cocktails are relatively cheap plus you get a free pizza!

When I first walked in here, the smell that hit me was a wall of stale beer, body odor, and something else that was not identifiable. I’m a fan of the dive bar atmosphere, just not the dive bar stench. They have what looks like pretty good deals as far as beers and shots go, but if you’re thinking of getting the $ 5 beer/well whiskey shot, BEWARE! The well whiskey will make your skin crawl. Better to upgrade to $ 7 beer and Jameson. I can’t really emphasize how much the smell really brought down the whole experience. Twenty minutes in, the door guys were smoking outside and the entire bar filled with cigarette smoke on top of the stench. What’s the point of the no smoking-in-bars law if people are just going to open a window and smoke directly outside? There are better dive bars in Manhattan that don’t smell like something died in the corner.
