Super quick delivery, friendly staff, tasty food! I can order Chinese food, my wife can order sushi, and we can get Thai appetizers! Who couldn’t want more!!!

There is absolutely nothing special about this place except for its prime location. It is 3 blocks from the Brooklyn Museum. They advertise a mishmash of «Chinese», «Thai» and«Sushi» cuisines. Simply put, the food is typical NYC Chinese food fare – something you can get on every corner of every borough of the city. Nevertheless, the restaurant was half-empty, and we were hungry after a long afternoon at the Brooklyn Museum. After we paid our bill, we were asked to «please leave» to make room for waiting customers(which, by the way, were nonexistent). A woman came from the kitchen – she looked like the owner – and rushed us out. She was visibly angry and snatched the cash from my friend’s hand. She was speaking in her language to her staff, but it was obvious she was angry at us or them or all of us. When we finally did leave the restaurant, it was the same as when we found it, half-empty.

Horrible horrible horrible. Two hour delivery wait. Cold food. Had to wait for delivery man to get out of car across st. He withheld my spicy mayo and refused to give it to me and was rude. Complained — they called me a bitch? Really horrible place to spend your money on…

This is one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I rarely write Unilocal reviews but people need to be warned about this place. I came in with a party of 7 including a sleeping 1 year old child. We came here because we were told they were family friendly and this was not the case. The service was HORRIBLE. It took them 45 minutes to put water on the table. Then they literally Threw our napkins, forks and chopsticks on the table but only after we had to ASK. This was NOT a busy night, and when we asked them if we had done something wrong, they continued to be incredibly rude. They didn’t even offer a high chair for my niece. It took forever for the food to come and some of it was grossly undercooked. And the sushi was not great. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. When our bill came we had realized we had be overcharged for our sake. And they refused to correct it. DONOTEATHERE, unless you are desperate and if you are be prepared for terrible service. I will never ever eat here again.

WARNINGTOXIC PUBLICHEALTHALERT I developed SCOMBROIDPOISONING(a type of food poisoning.) Symptoms of scombroid poisoning will usually develop 20 to 30 minutes after you eat the affected fish. They can include flushing(turning red) of the face, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, difficulty breathing and hives. These symptoms are similar to allergic reactions and last for a few hours to a few days or longer. Scombroid poisoning is a disease due to the ingestion of contaminated food(mainly fish). In scombroid poisoning, bacteria have grown during improper storage of the dark meat of the fish and the bacteria produce scombroid toxin. Scombroid toxin, or poison, is a combination of histamine and histamine-like chemicals. DON’T EATHERE! When I fell ill I became flush, had difficulty breathing and was vomiting uncontrollably, then developed hives which have lasted for 13 days and continue to erupt all over my body. Be warned. If you read the other reviews it seems there is a major lack of management of the staff. The proprietors of this place are not invested in making good decisions for their business nor are they concerned with the quality of their ingredients and the safety of their customers. Food born illness is a serious health hazard and a major buzz kill during holiday season. I have been sick for nearly 2 weeks from this place. It’s clear collectively by what’s written below and based on my experience, these people should not be allowed a restaurant license. I had to go to the hospital and I continue to see my doctor for check ups this past week. Do yourself a favor and find a more honorable restaurant, don’t patronize this place. Let them collapse or make MAJOR changes. What they serve is not safe for consumption. Very poor quality Please respect yourself and dine elsewhere.

The food tasted great. There was options for Thai, Japanese, and Chinese. Waitress was friendly and welcomed us. Me and my friend had a great time. The portion was large which was great. We ended up taking home food.

Awful costumer service! Came here for dinner after visiting the Brooklyn Museum. First the waitress«Vicki» couldn’t answer most of the questions we asked about the menu. My girlfriend ordered an ice mocha, that when came out tasted just like chocolate milk. We informed the waitress she didn’t like it and asked for a glass of water. When the bill came the drink was still on it, so I asked her why if we didn’t drink it or like it. She processed to argue with us because we ordered it we had to drink it because«she made it» She said we should of asked to try it before to see if we like it. Both of us work in the restaurant and I enforced her that it is illegal to charge a Parton for something they didn’t consume. I’m sure she didn’t even understand that I was saying. I’ve NEVER experienced such a thing before. So she lost a 12 $ tip over a disgusting chocolate milk!

Great food and great service. They deliver the food promptly, fresh and with great distinguishing flavors. Some places just get it right.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this place since they opened. I am talking going there once or twice a week loyal. Lately they have been WAYOFF. Orders would come missing something — you call, they try to BS you and say it never came with that(I’m talking RICE with a sashmi lunch special here). Orders take 90 minutes(this place is a 2 minute walk from my apartment). I guess all this time they were trying to send me a message. Today I heard it LOUDANDCLEAR: Then today. we had the experience of all experiences… I walk in. get a nasty attitude(they are typically WONDERFUL to me). The woman is snappy, rude to me and my children and then at the end charges me for things that they never charged for before($ 2/cup for green tea!!!). When I ask her when they started to charge for tea, I get lip, I ask where it is in the menu. she goes ITISNOTINTHERE. YOUSIGNHERE! Enjoy your non-tip. I REALLY, REALLY enjoyed several of the ladies who worked there. They were like Aunties to my children. SOOOO disappointed. Just read the reviews here, people. These folks don’t want our business anymore. Sandy, I am VERY sad. :((((((((((((

hmmm… for starters you can tell that the owners recycled the furniture in this place. the seats all had coffee symbols on it. yeah i notice details like that. secondly… i know that conserving energy is important but come on… turn on the lights! the service is nothing to rave about. we had specified no sesame seeds on the chicken teriyaki but got it anyway. the pad thai noodles were good but a little but too soggy for my taste. the steamed dumplings were super doughy and too thick to eat. i ended up scooping the veggies out and disregarding the outer part. the thai coffee was to die for: not too sweet and super delicious. here is the issue: i know that different places have a different way of running things but WTF… gratuity already added to the final bill? you arent even given an option of whether or not you want to tip. what if the service was only worth $ 2 as opposed to the 5.95 they decided on.

Alright food and service. Nothing to be doing cartwheels for. Service started off rushy/pushy at first regardless of us being the only group there for lunch. Eventually service became more relaxed. Overall alright experience I had salmon hibachi over fried rice, a miso soup, and small salad with ginger dressing.

Working nearby and with limited choices, my coworkers and I end up frequenting this place often. We are drawing a line — the service has gone from cold and unhelpful to rude and sloppy. They’ve repeatedly messed up our orders and then actually yelled at us for being unclear or unwilling to take what they made. We’ve asked about a manager and been told they are never in. They have a sign now at the door saying a 15% tip required — and that a tip will be asked for if not. Did it ever occurred to them that they are getting no tips because the service is horrible and actively encourages people to withhold tips as their only way of suggesting a change of tone? The food is fine by corner sushi standards but not at all worth this attitude. We are going to start ordering delivery from further afield.

Tried Colala tonight, let’s say it wasn’t an overall bad experience. The food was actually fine, but everything else was a huge bummer. I’ll be the first to admit I’m a complete infant when it comes to sushi, so I got the shrimp tempura entrée and the spicy chicken tempura roll. Amateur hour, I know. The latter was really good, the former was just okay. The main problem was that it took two hours to get to my apartment, when the restaurant told GrubHub it would only be an hour. Called the restaurant and was told that it was really busy today, which I’m fine with as long as you let me know that before I call – you know, on the website that tells me when to expect my delivery. I ordered fried rice with the entrée, got white rice. Not the end of the world, but annoying. They didn’t put chopsticks in the bag, which normally I would just shrug off. But damn man, have you ever tried eating a bigger sushi roll with a fork? Or your hands? Sauce everywhere, stickiness abound, dogs and cats living together, you get the picture. So yeah. They effed up tonight, but it probably doesn’t mean they’re bad all the time.

First the delivery man was rude. No eye contact and he had the nerve to take the chop sticks for my food out of my bag so I had to use a fork from my kitchen. Spicy Miso Vegetable Soup was very watery, barely had any flavor or spice. Pad Thai Noodles with veggies was mediocre. The noodles were really soggy. Will not order from here again.

Ordered delivery from seamless. DELIVERYMAN — rude. Didn’t even make eye contact when handing off the food. If I didn’t focus on grabbing the food, it would’ve fell to the ground. PACKAGING — Huge puddle of ginger sauce and all over other foods. It was a ridiculous mess. They’re containers are not spill proof. Look to see my Shrimp with Ginger Sauce cover was open. FOOD — Nothing special. Overpriced. Broccoli was super soggy. I will not order here again wiyh the price they charge with poor packaging & delivery service. What a mess!

Don’t know why this place has so few stars. Went with four others and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had just come from the Brooklyn Museum and wanted food fast. The décor isn’t too impressive but they were pretty speedy. I give it 3 stars because it’s not amazing but it was ok. I got the vegetarian sushi plate and was pleasantly surprised at the variety. They had a nice mango one I didn’t expect. The meal came with the salad and I actually kept the leftover dressing to out on the sushi pieces to give more flavor. Maybe they should consider a little extra sauce on their veg sushi pieces. Oh, their menu is also just way too long. All of us had trouble deciding on what to order. I’d suggest cutting down on the items being offered.

The place is a little loud and they don’t tame their roust customers. The neighborhood is fairly changing in demographics. The food is fresh I had a bento box with salmon teriyaki and it was very filling. The waitress on the other hand sucked. I had to call her for a fork for water … She just sucked. The lighting was dim a little too dim if you asked me. It was fairly clean and spacious. I would go back but I wish the staff was better.
