Delmar Pizzeria

The pizza took an 1 hour and 15 minutes! Not only that but the delivery guy was so incredibly rude. I felt like he was trying to hurry me into giving him a 30% tip.

We went back after like fifteen years for the white pizza. Still amazing. That is the way white pizza is done. Get a pie and something to drink and go sit on the bay. Amazing.

You cannot go wrong with a visit to Delmar. I have been going here with my family since I was a teenager. They have the best slice in Brooklyn. They are so underrated. Absolutely delicious! Crispy crust and bottom, delicious sauce — and cheese that is perfecto! My dad was a huge fan — and he was a tough customer! Stop by, you won’t be sorry!!!

I always order the shrimp parm on a hero and it’s always on point. The slices there are also really good. This place is definitely a neighborhood classic!

This pizzeria is about 40 years strong. There is a reason for that. The food is simply consistently good. I always go for the regular slice, but I also love the chicken rolls. I have 2 pizzerias closer to my house, but I will walk the extra 9 blocks just for a Delmar slice. Please take into account that I am on the far end of the lazy side of the spectrum.

Delmar pizza is bomb. The service there is pretty quick and friendly (sometimes). But all that matters is the service quick and pizza is delicious. I would definitely recommend trying it if you are in the area.

I had a regular pie and it was delicious. The crust was crunchy, the cheese was hot and it was just simply good. I also had the penne a la vodka here and it’s probably one of the best I’ve had. It was really flavorful and a must try.

Best regular pizza ever! Also had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo which was pretty good. Friend had the chicken broccoli with penne and was amazing as usual. Would rate five stars but food took a little long to come out.

Pizzas always good. I’ve eaten here many times and it’s always consistent and fresh. The plain slices are great but if you wanna try something new get the bacon Alfredo and the vodka slices.

If you’re from around the sheepshead area, you know that Delmar has some solid slices. It’s always better if you get a fresh slice. You can’t go wrong with a regular, and the vodka slice is amazing here!

Of course stopping by New York entails a trip to a pizzeria! I was staying a few minutes away from Del Mar, so the spot was super convenient for me. I had 2 slices of pepperoni, 1 slice of cheese, and 1 slice of Alfredo. The Alfredo was out of this world good — so creamy and perfectly complimented by the bacon on top. The pizza dough here is light, crusty, and crispy — absolutely delicious. There is the perfect amount of cheese and sauce — with such a perfect ratio, there was no sogginess at all! The pepperoni were also plentiful and was just the right amount of crispy. Sooooo good. Also, the pizza wasn’t excessively greasy either.
The guys working here are so friendly and welcoming, which I totally appreciated since this was my first time at a NY pizzeria and I needed some time to choose. Most of my NY experience consisted of people rushing me and pushing me, so this was a definite nice change of pace! There was always a good flow of people coming in and out, which is awesome cuz hat means that they keep on putting out fresh pizza! Prices were awesome too. Only $ 12.50 for 4 ginormous slices of pizza!
Coming from California, so one of my goals during my NY trip was to get some delicious pizza. This place definitely did not disappoint.

Delmar a classic Brooklyn staple. Haven’t been in a while but this place continues to offer good quality slices as well as other items like Stromboli and calzones. Prices are fair for this neighborhood and they do take credit cards $ 10.00 minimum contrary to what Unilocal is reporting (hopefully they’ve fixed it) slices are similar to a Neapolitan style slice. Crispy thin and flavorful.

Been trying pizzas all over town, again, this summer. Many have disappointed. Paid $ 29. at DiFara’s and Dom’s pizza was too charred. Did not taste right. Went to John’s on Bleeker Street in the Villiage and that pizza was not so great.
Have visited Delmar three times in the last month for a large pizza and have been amazed at how good it is. This pizza has not changed in fifty years. It is wonderful and a joy to eat a Delmar Pizza. Am never disappointed. Delmar always comes through and fulfills my expectations in how a pizza should taste.
Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have an old school pizza. They started in 1957 and am sure that it tastes the same as it did in 1957.

This is not first time ordering delivery pizza from Delmar and it is not the first time receive disappointment. The issue is not with the flavor or presentation. The issue is with the delivery service. The pizza arrives with all the cheese in one conner of the box. It seems like the someone has been kicking the pie around. To give a toping to this review, the pizza arrives cold. This is hard to understand due to we live 5 minutes away.

Neighborhood gem!
The best pepperoni slice in NYC. Also a lot of people do not know this but they have amazing buffalo wings. They are made to perfection and are in decent size. its is $ 10 per order which more or less comes out to a buck a wing but I think it is so worth it.
If you are a foodie you must try your favorite slice over here.

I worked here one summer, errrr, 10+ years ago; it was actually one of my first jobs. WHY, you ask? Because it was damn delicious and a girl needs her pizza fix.
I’m absolutely not biased, because I couldn’t care less about who works here now and if you’ve seen my previous reviews, I am very objective about the pizza game. It is no laughing matter.
I order every now and then, and this slice never disappoints. Really, it is your classic Brooklyn slice; perfect amount of cheese and robust tomato sauce, with a crust that’s always fresh.
Vodka slice here is good, but I always go for a classic regular. Honestly, I even stopped getting pepperoni because it messes with that cheesy regular slice that takes you back to childhood in Bensonhurst.
The pasta here is delicious as well, but I have ONE complaint keeping this from being a five: guys, why is the penne vodka not al dente? Was disappointing. Everyone knows all you do is put pasta in boiling water and set a timer for 7 minutes and drain. DO IT.

This spot never disappoints.
Been coming here since I was a kid, and I gotta say I like the place even more now after the Hurricane Sandy remodeling.
Plenty of seating room here, with large booths now.
–The regular slices here are perfect, crust not too thick and good sauce to cheese ratio.
–Vodka slice here is delicious
–all of the pasta here is delicious as well, good penne vodka and alfardo sauce
–Rice balls are soft and flavorful

Had the pizza here many moons ago and don’t exactly remember my experience, just remembered that it was good and that I didn’t rule this place out.
Recently had shrimp parm hero and the bf had the chicken parm hero and he’s a bit picky with his chicken parms, but we both enjoyed our heroes! The only thing we would prefer (or will ask for next time) would be more sauce.
Located on Sheepshead Bay Road on the side with no standing (though everyone hangs out there anyway) so it’ll be hard to pick up unless you’re with someone.
Now we have another place to get our heroes from! Will definitely look into trying some other dishes and pastas!

Solid pizza spot in Brooklyn.
Interior is nice clean and modern.
Very good pizza, decent amount of variety as well.
If in the area and craving a good slice, I wouldn’t hesitate to visit Delmar again.
