if i only had a week to live on this planet, i want to make a proposition to Sweet Chick: Can I Have Sexual Relations With Your Shramppp & Gritzzz? i’m sorry for tarnishing such a beautiful experience with my dirrrrty mouth. seriously, though… i’ve never had such a lovely and delicious experience on a Sunday like this in forever. family-style brunch? i love the concept. i was too busy taking photos of everything and ended up missing out on the pancakes and sticky buns. but, the savory stuff… i NEVER skip that sh*t. i nearly had an «O» face the entire time i was consuming the Shrimp & Grits. it had the perfect amount of flavor and spiciness i expect in most of my meals… but shrimp & grits? it’s the first bowl where i was frantically trying to figure out how i could dump the whole thing in my purse without anyone suspecting it. well, that, of course, didn’t work. not my prettiest moment, people. i apologize. food porn all up in my face, yo. Chicken & Waffles(my fav.), creamy Mac & Cheese, the Pork Hash and all the drinks were fantastical. i think i may have seen a unicorn sitting next to me at Sweet Chick, i can’t remember. lol. the bacon is cured in the kitchen, all pastries are baked on the premises, like OHEMGEE… someone hold me back! it was awesome that this event was small and very intimate. i didn’t have to embarrass myself in front of a hundred people– it was less than 20 peeps that had to see my «O» faces. LOL. Jane, Ruggy and Peter were all in tow– we all rocked our sunglasses for photo ops. what a way to say, «eff you» to the snow that day. oh, i’ll be coming back to molest more food. consider this a warning, Sweet Chick.

Hands down one of my favorite Elite Events. This homie lover friend here is a fan of the Vitamin Champagne and boy did Sweet Chick deliver along with some stellar eats. The food and friendly service was flowing from the time that I entered until I departed. Fresh pastries made on site set off the brunch extravaganza, followed with the following delectable delights: Scrambled eggs with black bean patties(way to awaken my palate) Potatoes with surprises all up in the mix(Wait was that chicken? Sausage?) Shrimp and Grits(Dang Sweet Chick. You put your foot in it) Warm cinnamon rolls(Best cinnamon rolls my mouth has ever witnessed!) Blueberry pancakes(Because who doesn’t love fluffy delights topped with fresh fruit?) Mac and Cheese, Kale salad, and an arugula salad made their way around as well but I was stuffed at that point. But wait! The mother ship landed. Chicken and waffles descended from the sky and nestled themselves upon the table and I magically found room in my belly. The waffles were perfection and the chicken was extra crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Cin hooked us up with some awesome drinks. I skipped the standard mimosa and went straight for the bellini with lavender and the watermelon mimosa. Both were fantastic compliments to the awesome feast we had. Thanks again Peter D for another great event.
