(NOT A ONE $ SIGN PLACE FOR A WOMAN NO MATTER HOW SHORT YOUR HAIR IS). Went to Emaciaty for the first time. I live in the neighborhood and i have a very short hair, (Men Short, Shorter than my fiancé hair) but i am a woman.
I was looking on Unilocal for an affordable $ sign place since I am on budget and wanted a very simple haircut and this one came up. I went on their website to double check the price and it said Haircut (Regular) 20 $. So i get an appointment and go there. As i am getting my haircut i notice that she says the man haircut is 20 $? And i ask so why is it saying 20 on your website, and she says because i can’t say it online?! Why Can’t you? everywhere says it! so you are dishonest cause you have not stated that anywhere. So my entire hair cut took 10 minute, just cutting the edges of my hair and general cleaning of the side (i didn’t even ask for a shampoo) and i end up paying $ 40! :37 $ with tax and rest tip… (of course, I didn’t pay 20% tip but i was loyal enough to tip at all when i ended up paying almost double the price i was told to). So If you are looking for a $ haircut this is not the place for a woman. But she was great for doing a very simple cut! I just ended up paying double the price i could have paid in any other honest $ place for a simple cut, and i do not appriciate businesses that advertise falsely and make their money by misleading their costumers!

I just got my hair cut today at Emacity. I live in the neighborhood, and was looking for a reasonably priced cut. I am so glad I made the appointment with Lena! She has over 20 years of experience and it shows. I am growing my hair out so I asked for some layers to give me more body and my color needed a bit of a pick-​me-​up. Lena suggested combining two brown hues to give my hair more dimension — and WOW. I have not had this kind of color before! She knew exactly what hues would match my skin tone. My haircut turned out really well too — exactly what I wanted. Plus, the prices were below usual market prices for women’s haircuts in NYC/​Brooklyn. I highly recommend this salon to any ladies (or gentlemen) looking for a quick cleanup or a brand new look!

Was visiting with a friend and long past due for a cut. so it was suggested I run in. So glad I did! Was in and out quickly and got an awesome new haircut/​style. When she the owner rung me up, I was shocked how inexpensive it was. $ 20 for a mens cut in a salon?! And styled? It will now be my new spot to go for a cut. well worth the trip from Manhattan.

I love the salon — it is warm and inviting, creating a perfect atmosphere for spending time getting your hair revamped! My stylist is Lena and I would definitely recommend her. She is very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. She listened to what I wanted and gave me a fantastic cut!

Yelena is awesome, and I’ve received number of compliments on my haircut! I definitely recommend Emacity to everyone in the area.

This was my first time going to Emacity and I sort of just told Yelena what I wanted more or less. She instantly knew how to handle my hair and I was VERY satisfied with the result. She’s also just an easy going and interesting person to talk to, and charges a fraction of what everyone else does! Highly recommended.
