Fort Hamilton Bagels and Deli

Just ordered from here via Seamless because our go-​to bagel place was not up on the app today and my boyfriend and I were very excited when the food was delivered. However, after spending $ 31 on bagels, we were extremely disappointed. Our bagel breakfast sandwiches were not made to the instructions we gave (all were to be: scooped out and toasted but weren’t, one was to be egg whites only but was not, and one was to have tomatoes added and there were none). The bagels did not taste fresh and needless to say we will never order from here again! Waste of money.

NEVER AGAIN!!! Would give 0 stars if I could. We ordered the egg cheese bacon and avocado sandwich, a honey turkey panini and chicken tenders. Waited an hour, still no food. We called the guy said it’s «on it’s way» (we don’t live too far from them). 20 min later still no food. We went to check status of order online and it said restaurant is closed!!! Called the place– NO ANSWER. Called grubhub they said the place had to shut down and close the restaurant online because they were very behind on orders and that they wouldn’t come for another hour. Then why did they say they’re on their way like everything’s fine?! Finally after TWO HOURS the food came and it was the wrong order! There was no avocado on that egg sandwich and the bacon was black from being burnt to the max. The chicken tenders tasted like frozen school lunches that were reheated multiple times prior and were now disgustingly dry and also tasted like fish. I’m pretty sure prison food tastes better. On top of that, they came with no dipping sauce or the BBQ sauce we asked for. I don’t know what kind of panini they sent but it was definitely not the honey glazed turkey we ordered. Everything was dry and stale. I normally don’t leave reviews like this but this was the absolute WORST grubhub experience I’ve ever had. Not worth the money, time, or nerves. STAY FAR AWAY!!!

2.5 hours later I’m cancelling my order for delivery. After it was an hour late from the quoted delivery time I called the deli and he said the driver would be here in 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, nothing, so I called back. «Sorry sir, we only have one driver and it’s crazy here. Let me have you hold while I contact him. (Hold) He should be there in 10 minutes.» 20 minutes later I call back: «yeah I think our delivery guy is on drugs or something. Let me have you hold while I contact him again. (Hold) sir, I’ve just been notified our driver was in an accident.»
So that’s my experience, but after looking on Unilocal I see that this is common. And sorry if I sound heartless, but I don’t believe the «accident» excuse. He was already nearly 1.5 hours and has already been contacted prior to this. Not buying it. And not buying anything from them again.
TERRIBLE SERVICE AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INAPPROPRIATE RESPONSE FROM THE STAFF.

Ordered from them through grub hub. Delivery was nearly an hour late. Paid extra for pickles but didn’t get any. Paid for two 2 liter bottles of soda but the store called and told me they only had one bottle and they would send the other one in cans. For the six dollars I spent on two 2 liter bottles they sent me one 1 liter bottle and two 355 ml cans (combining for less than one 2 liter bottle). Oh, and the burger I ordered had the texture of rubber.

Love their bagels fresh and good; with regular cream cheese is all i need for a relax Saturday morning after jog

This place is GREAT! DELICIOUS! FOOD IS BANGING! love the place very friendly, Bagels are soft and not like rocks where u break ur teeth, food always fresh, staff is fast and friendly, love there specials, family owned, kind people, finally fort hamilton pkwy has good food again,

Sad because the bagels are great but the delivery is always misquoted.
This round I ordered very simple food. Bagels and two egg sandwiches, etc. placed @10:54. It is now 1:15. Calling in, the usual «he’s five minutes away» was relayed to me.
Your bagels aren’t worth the delivery fee and wait.

i ordered food over two hours ago and it is still not here! They offered me 10% back but it should be FREE. Do not order delivery if you actually want to eat today. Absolutely ridiculous.

This is my second time ordering from this place. They do use good ingredients, but their execution is far from exacting. Unfortunately I needed some deli cheese with my order which you would expect to be packaged separately from the hot food. The half pound of cheddar was warm and melted when it arrived and useless.
The sandwich I had wasn’t very good. It was cold and some of the bacon was served raw. The chicken fingers weren’t very good either. There was not much to say about the portion size besides it was lacking immensely which you can see from the photos I posted.
Sadly that may be the last time that I order from them.

I went to this bagel place a couple of times. I really wanted it to work for me as it is conveniently located. My recent visit: I ordered 2 bagels with egg and turkey. There was a very thin slice of turkey with a slightly undercooked egg. While the egg was acceptable for me, neither I nor my friend could taste any turkey. My recommendation for the owner is to make better bagels to have people want to come back. If I ordered a turkey bagel, do not try to save one or two slices, it is not worth over loosing customers who would otherwise come on weekly basis.
Other than that there is really nothing wrong with this place. Hope they listen to feedbacks and improve.

I come to fort Hamilton bagels 7002 fort Hamilton parkway in Brooklyn every day for breakfast and lunch. Their bagels are always fresh and delicious. I get lucky because I come a lot when they are fresh out of the oven. I asked fort Hamilton bagels if they wholesale their bagels and they do. The bagel stores in dyker heights and bay ridge should buy their bagels, they are so good. The service is always great and the girl that works on Saturday is a doll. I love this place. Fort Hamilton bagels also takes credit cards with a $ 5 minimum which is unheard of and they take Ebt. I just opened my Unilocal account today so I can write this review and I NEVER write reviews.

I am so happy this place is in the neighborhood. We visit our family here often and live at this place. Current owner and staff are wonderful, bagels are excellent and whether it’s our «bacon, egg and cheese on a roll» breakfast or a quick dinner after a long day we are never disappointed.

I been living in this hood for like 13 years this is like the third bagel store there. Out of all of them there the best bagels around! Customer service is always top notch! They are very nice people and fast. Thank god for good bagels in a Chinese bakery infested neighborhood!

The bagel was pretty good here for the price of .95 each. I wasn’t sure about the quality of the cold cut by the look.

I’ve been craving for a bagel with fresh lox and cream cheese but there weren’t any places near where I worked the served it. I am super happy that I found this place on grubhub!!!
The bagel satisfied my cravings and their coffee isn’t too bad either.
I also ordered a salad with grilled shrimp. Even though they gave A LOT of shrimp, I did not like it because it was extremely tiny and did not have the fresh shrimp taste.
I will definitely order from here again but will opt for the grilled chicken salad instead.
FOUR STARS!

First time ordering from this Bagel place and I called to place an order of a Ham and Cheese sandwich, Grilled Chicken with roasted peppers and hot wings. First employee today me he had to call the boss to confirm to see if he can deliver. Red flag right away. Then he said he will call me back to inform me. He never called back to I called back and said Im making the food now, will be delivered. 45 minutes later I’m still waiting on delivery. Called to check status of food and boss answers the phone. He said my name is Frank Im the boss we got backed up food will be there soon. 20 minutes later boss shows up and delivers food. Apologized for the inconvenience and delay. But I definitely was not satisfied. Food was mediocre not worth waiting for.

Very yummy bagels! I like that they take cards because I never carry cash.

Another bagel store at the same spot, not sure it’s still from the previous owners giving this another try or just simply new people giving bagels another chance in this quiet neighborhood. Renovated, still making homemade bagels and rolls, added more sandwiches on their menu, bigger selection of cold juices, soda and coffee, now even selling simple grocery needs like eggs and milk.

Sluggers was my morning stop before work for a couple reasons:
(1) They opened early
(2) It was on the way to work anyways
(3) Those breakfast sandwiches were delicious!
I can honestly say that everything I ever ate there was very good and in my opinion well worth the price. The only things I didn’t really like is that the place wouldn’t always open at the same time so sometimes I’d just have to drive by and one of the large menus on the wall doesn’t have any prices. The no prices definitely deterred me from trying anything new those early mornings. Maybe they’re working on it or something though but its been a month and a half already!
Still if I were in the area I would visit and grab one of their sandwiches.

Had bagels from here the other day and they could possibly be the best I’ve ever had. They weren’t a huge loaf of doughy bread like many places make these days. Their flavored creams cheeses were also terrific. It just opened and I will definitely try it again and i hope they don’t change a thing.
