For me it is the best place for a date. Very nice atmosphere. Even if all the tables are occupied still creates the impression of privacy. Excellent service. Very fresh uni. Chef always pleases seasonal menu.

I’ve tried all the sushi places in Bay Ridge and I’ve been consistently disappointed. Fushimi’s sushi and apps were some of the best I’ve tried in NYC. The service was fairly quick and the prices were decent considering the quality. The only thing I would improve is the décor, it could use some updates.

My bf & I went on a Tuesday night & we got seated as soon as we arrived. The interior décor is nice and calming. We had: Half a dozen of kumamoto oysters: DELICIOUS! Very fresh and very meaty in each shell. Spicy Salmon & Tuna tartar on tortilla chips: It wasn’t bad but nothing special. I liked spicy salmon more. The spicy tuna was mixed with avocado and with some kind of sauce(maybe eel sauce? idk) that was too sweet for my liking. We actually wanted to try the Spicy tuna gyoza but our waiter recommended us this which was on the weekly special. Live uni: my bf is the one who likes Uni. I’m not such a big fan. i’ll just eat a tiny bit. So the live uni came with 5 pieces of uni sushi with shiso leaves and the Sea urchin shell itself. Each & every piece was fresh! My bf liked it. Rock Shrimp Tempura: It was okay. Shareable appetizer. It was more than I expected lol. It tasted kind of bland to me. Maybe the sauce just needs more flavor? O-toro sushi: Eh, nothing crazy. I like toro that melts in my mouth but this one, it’s chewy. Just not how I like it. It’s not bad. It was fresh but just not how I like it. It was $ 22 for an order(an order comes with 3 pieces) Yellowtail scallion roll: basic roll that’s why its in the regular roll category. I actually expected the yellowtail to be crushed up like spicy tuna or salmon but it was a block of the fish rolled up w/scallion. I personally don’t like eating a chunk of raw fish. I like them thinly cut out or crushed up. o-toro scallion handroll: oh man this was what got to me. It was ridiculously COLD. I’m assuming they just cut off of a fish that was still frozen? Disappointing. Never again will I get the toro from this place. I couldn’t even finish it because it was too cold & that was my first time eating raw fish that makes my mouth feel like it’s 20 degrees. $ 12 for one handroll. Petite filet Mignon: My stomach felt like it needed some warm kitchen food after eating that toro! I ordered this in medium well & it came out well done. I expected a light pink in the middle but it was good. Well seasoned and also came with 2 chopped up asparagus & mashed potato. I probably won’t be coming back anytime soon. If i do, it will probably be for the deliciously fresh oysters & maybe try out more of the kitchen food! Service was good & attentive.

The service was great, the atmosphere was awesome. I recommend you to have a great meal. All you need is great company. The bar is fully stock and the bartender know how to mix. If you want to try something different or something great this is the place.

I went to Fushimi for the first time a few days ago, I’ve always wanted to come here so I’m totally happy that I did. It’s so pretty in there, and has an upscale vibe and ambiance. The servers are all very nice and professional, a little too quiet though, not a lot of personality LOL. For lunch, they offer a lunch menu which includes a 5 course pre fix menu for $ 14. For the first course I got the vegetable soup, second course salad with ginger dressing, third course was the daily appetizer that the chef makes for that day, which comes out on the side with the fourth course, and as my fourth course/entrée I got the chicken teriyaki. We also ordered an ordered of pork dumplings, a side of fried rice, and these risotto balls(we were really hungry this day if you couldn’t tell). All of the food was delicious, so flavorful and tasty. What I would change it the portion sizes, they’re pretty small, but thats probably why the price is so cheap. The fifth course is coffee or icecream. Overall it was a really nice experience and the food was great. I’ll 100% be back here.

I really enjoyed my first experience at Fushimi. We got here pretty early on a Friday after work, around 6pm so although we didn’t have a reservation we had no problem securing a table for 10. I heard that it is a ‘party atmosphere’ but I am guessing we just didn’t stay late enough to experience that. We mostly had drinks and appetizers. Service was very attentive and not intrusive. I am sure we gave the server a run for her money since we were pretty unorganized and indecisive. The fried calamari was very small for the price, and not that great. I wouldn’t get that again. The california roles were pretty standard, but I am pretty sure they were missing cucumber. Everyone really enjoyed the fried goat cheese that came with crispy bread. I am not sure how this fits into a Japanese menu, but we weren’t complaining. The oddest thing on the menu were the risotto balls(pretty much rice balls) but I suppose the neighborhood gives it an italian influence. They were really good and cheesy! We ordered a chocolate lava cake for dessert, but it had very little ‘lava’ in it, although it did come with a scoop of ice cream

Love this place sushi is always fresh and their special rolls are so so good ! The layout for the sushi my boyfriend and I had gotten sushi sushsami for two and it was gorgeous !! Our drinks well my drink was very strong never had a sex on the beach that strong before but off course great. It turns from restaurant to lounge around 9 really great atmosphere. We arrived about 9:15 they women very friendly greeted us and told us about a fifteen minute wait so I went outside to smoke and she came out in less then two minutes to tell us that our table was ready, the place was packed so make a reservation our table was to close for our liking to another group, you could literally rub elbows with them for my boyfriend asked for a new table and within minutes they set us up ! Love the service the food just the place in general

Since I’ve visited the Williamsburg location, I was super excited to learn my new job was literally across the street! Now, to review, the décor is not as «grandeur» as the Williamsburg location but still pretty swanky. Now, the dine in experience, I got a lunch special with my co worker. The food serving was well and the table setting was pretty neat as well. My co worker now wants to go with her boyfriend because the food was so good. My delivery experience was a little bit different. The food serving was smaller of course to fit the travel containers. The taste was the same although, after forgetting my soup and salad(again, lunch special), it took them TWOHOURS to re-deliver it. Again, my job is literally across the street. Sparingly, who seemed to be the supervisor apologized and personally dropped it off once I called before my shift ended. Despite this incident, it’s never happened again but the food is still great.

Came here yesterday afternoon to celebrate my wife and I 5 year marriage anniversary. I gave the place 3 stars strictly because of the Manhattan like prices and the weak drinks. We ended up spending $ 200 for 2 people for purchasing 1 Entrée, 2 Special Sushi rolls, 2 Appetizers, 1 Salad, 4 drinks, and 2 portions of ice cream. Here is my further breakdown of there stats: Ambiance — 5***** Customer Service — 5***** Alcoholic Drinks — 2**(Weak drinks) Food — 3***(Have eaten similar food for a lot less in price) Prices — 1* If you don’t mind dropping that kind of money for similar food than by all means go for it.

This one of those wow places. The food is stellar, with high service. I was able to enjoy crab salads, a sampler platter of sashimi, dragon rolls, and even chocolate lava cake with Cabernet Sauvignon and green tea. Definitely a meal to remember. In addition, the restaurant has modern Japanese and classic European elements, making for a humble, yet chic appearance. All this in what seems like a tiny plot of land(and they have valet!).

Really overpriced average food, you’re probably paying for their investment on the décor. I really enjoy the black mushroom risotto but I really don’t think it should be called risotto, it is more like a cheesy black rice with mushrooms. The chilean sea bass is one of the best I have ever tasted, very silky, sweet and flaky. The sushi tastes just like the ones they serve at all you can eat or the«50%» places but for double the price. Impressed with the décor, not with the food!

I went to fushimi today for lunch. It was my first time, despite living in the area. It has a chic vibe. The décor is pretty and modern. They have a cocktail list and a good amount of wines by the glass. My friend and I ordered a spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, and a fushimi king roll. The fushimi king roll had tempura crab, avocado, shrimp, kani roll, topped with spicy tuna and spicy yellowtail. I really liked it. I would definitely return.

First things first: stay away from their valet parking. Their lot was full so the guy(who looks like a 90’s movie supervillain) drove my car out to the Staples on fifth avenue and parked in the lot there… I don’t know if they have an arrangement with them, but if my car got towed I would’ve been very pissed. When the guy was retrieving my car from said lot, he had to cut through the Dunkin donuts across the street… Which would have been fine if he didn’t drive my car like it was the first time he’s been in a car with more than 200 horsepower. Now for the actual review of Fushimi, since they probably outsource their valet to a third party. Food: I’ve been here twice so I got to try a few items on their menu. Fushimi sushi for two: I got this the first time, so my memory is a bit rusty; however, I remember it being a good amount of food. Fish was pretty fresh Seasonal tuna tartare: comes with guacamole underneath. Pretty tasty Chilean sea bass XO: not bad, but just a tiny bit overcooked. Would have been perfect otherwise Chefs selection of sashimi: seasonal selections. I got Uni, inago, king salmon, yellow tail, Japanese snapper, and tuna, all with little toppings such as jalapeños or truffle oil. It was pretty good! Uni was fresh and creamy, fish in general was fresh and sauces well done. Lobster and king crab roll: I think there was mango in it too. Not bad but not that memorable. Drinks: avoid the crystal lake umeshu(plum wine). It was sickly sweet. As for service: our waiter was attentive, but seemed like he was serving too large of an area All in all, a pretty solid dining experience; a tad on the pricier side for the area, but I’ve paid more for sushi like this before

I never leave disappointed or blown away, but Fushimi is consistently decent and there’s something to be said about that. I most recently came here for Father’s Day dinner and we had oysters, which were very fresh and a big sushi/sashimi platter that was nicely displayed. We also had the steak and it was very tender and tasty.

Service was quick, but not attentive. They give you the food & the bill. Small food portions, tastes ok, Good risotto balls though. DONOGETTHEIR CRispy calamari. It was like eating frozen rubber bands, nobody came to check on us, and we didnt find anyone to help us. 2 stars for décor and 1 star for service.

First time ordering here so I just dabbled in some appetizers(see pic). The goat cheese with garlic toast was perfect. The fried tofu was better than what Ive had in the Bay Ridge area but a bit mushy in texture. Really good mash potato croquettes — unexpected menu item. I wish there were 3 instead of 2. The aspargus tasted great but the portion was very small, and could use a few more spears, or a smaller container. On another order I also tried the ribs and was expecting something with the bone. The meat was just okay, I left half of it and there were very few chips with 1 crispy mash potato round. The rock shrimp was mediocre and had no dipping suace. When I ordered the goat cheese previously, the sauce was different, much better last time. This time was more tomato sauce than plum sauce. The portions are really small for the price and will probably opt out next time.

I have always been a fan of Fushimi. Love there décor, lightening, nice full bar area, music and its pretty spacious also inside. Sushi is always fresh and really good I can’t complain. I enjoy Food: Edamame Kani Salad Gyoza American Dream Roll Valentine Roll(so cute its shaped like hearts. aww) Drinks: Sangria Zombies There fresh handmade rolls are good too of course and it comes out in nice trays and very clean and nice looking. Valet parking. Small bathrooms. Only thing I do dislike is for a nice bar area with loud music and nice vibe to hang out and have some drinks and enjoy maybe a girls night out or a date they close way too early on weekends there done serving food at 11 and close at midnight. I was surprised that they closed so early now cause i remember they had ladies night on Thursdays and they would be at least open til 2am. Thats the only downer about this place. So might as well bring the party down to Dunkin Donuts across the street.

I just really like the quality of the food here, and the happy hour. It’s a comfortable dimly lit bar, but with a large skylight for nicer days. For happy hour they have a decent red and white. at a buy one get one price, and I believe other drinks are buy one get one also. The other great deal about their happy hour is their quality selection of appetizers. I had the spicy tuna tacos, which were crunchy and so tasty, and I had the 3 piece tuna platter.(both pictured) The bartenders and wait staff are always very pleasant, and it’s just a nice environment.
