This used to be the worst of the worst: the people there just couldn’t get their act together. I bought a previously owned PS3, which they ordered, and they promised to call me when it came in. Three weeks later I came in and asked, and the dweeb behind the counter mumbled, «huh? Let me check…» It had actually come in 2 weeks before, BUTTHEYNEVERCALLED! As it turned out, the unit was defective. Go back to store, same dweeb takes the return, promises to call me. Store manager makes sure they have my number. Three weeks goes by, no call. Today I stop in and there’s a new face. I tell her my story, she smiles and says, «Yeah, we got rid of that manager and most of the staff. I’m the new manager; welcome to GameStop.» I explain the situation, tell her I’d like a refund, and she promptly takes care of it with a smile. So this is what customer service looks like? Her name is Valerie; stop by and say hi to her — she’s a gem.

The staff is better then most locations so that is why the 4 stars. Gamestop as a company deserves a 2 because of all their odd policies.

So I decided to come to GameStop cause I wanted to spend money. Not much but at least leave with something. I was greeted and asked if there was anything I was looking for. the young lady that was on the floor was helping a customer and helping resolve a problem with an old game console. She helped as much as she could and told him about a few other places he may find help.(GameStop deals with newer systems) I ended up buying the movie«The Other Guys» awesome movie!

This GameStop may be huge and offer a large variety of games, but the service here is beyond awful. The staff is friendly but loves to chat and take their time with everything while there is a long line of customers waiting to be rung up. I dread coming here but I don’t have much of a choice seeing as every other GameStop on the area has the same problem.

This is by far one of the biggest Gamestops that I’ve been to. Everytime that I go they ask me if I need help. so customer service is present. I usually buy my video games and accessories. All in all this place is good in my book.

This gamestop is weeeeeak! Was in there with my roommate. One dude at the register. No dude on the floor helping people. We waited patiently by the register to ask a question about stock, and the dude wouldn’t even look at us! _weak_ really weak.

There’s something to be said for the store locator on Gamestop’s website — it listed the mall as Propsect Park North for this location. Gamestop(and its sister store, EB) is almost always in a mall, and this is definitely not Prospect Park North, and on some level it probably heralds gentrification’s discovery of the South Slope(and all the evil and wailing and gnashing of teeth that goes along with it), but I have a very simple review: I went in last night to turn in a game for store credit and to buy a new one. Everything is bright, shiny, clean and big*. They gave me a reasonable credit for the game I turned in and had a copy of the new game I wanted(which came out the day before) and they didn’t make fun of me for buying a sports game.** As far as I’m concerned, that makes this place a winner. * — After you get your mind out of the gutter, keep in mind that most Gamestops are in malls, or small spaces on 84th and Broadway, and are clogged with lots of acne and oil and never HAVETHESTUPIDSPORTSGAME I WANT! ** — I’m a real gamer, too!
