Wow I have been living in Sunset for years and I never realized Georges has such amazing food… the burgers are great… huge portions. haven’t been disappointed yet.

This place can be so good but they slack off The food tastes like the care and time doesnt go into it. Similar to a school lunch things are slapped together and not cooked as well as they should be. paninis are pretty good everyone enjoys them. Pesto is my fave, turkey cheese is good and phily cheese is a fave. Fries are thick and undercooked at times other times good. They used to get everything wrong on all orders to the point where they were unusable but now have gotten better. Dinners arent worth it at all. Burgers seem bigger than elsewhere. Mozzerela sticks are great unless they arrive cold. And u only get 3 so its overpriced. They are huge though. Nacho and quesadilla has rubbery meat and stale nachos look like has been thrown up already Dessert ice cream is great like an old fashioned ice cream parlor and generous. Lady who answers phone is very nice. theyre open for delivery pretty late. cream of brocli soup is out of this world like something from seinfields soup nazi just incredible ive always wanted to try the giant size.

Can we write a review for the NEW iteration? A great diner. Their breakfast is solid. Good eggs, good homefries, good coffee. I am really impressed with how they re-did the dining room. It’s a great mix of modern and classic. Not twee, just classic. Also– great job on the music. As in no music during weekend breakfast. The place was hopping, it didn’t need music to set a mood. I really like eating without having to shout.

Tasteless food. Long waiting. I found a hair in my «deep fried chicken» and it was so salty. Not coming back for sure.

George’s is your typical neighborhood diner. I am from the area so I have eaten here on mnay occassions over the years, but they are a secondary choice because they are overly expensive. For instance, I got two eggs with cheese on a roll with fries and that came out to almost $ 15 plus the delivery fee. I found that to be extremly excessive, but i had no choice but to pay it. They have a decent menu, they accept cards unlike Sunset Diner and Donuts and they are somewhat prompt. The staff is courteous but is sometimes a bit crowded on weekends… i guess that is to be expected. Another plusis they have liquor here I had a white russian here on one occassion and it was decent Overall, quality food, good service… just a bit pricey.

Was basically gourmet in the early 2000s but last few years they lost their touch foodwise, things come to you not cooked correctly cold or just with a bad taste. I used to come here 2 – 3 times a week with my cousins and friends and order things like beef ribs tbone steaks and you would swear you were in a 5star restaurant but that magic definitely disappeared. I still go once in a blue but then when i eat i remember why i dont come back as often

Order through seamless and even though I Oder a good amount and good tip they called and said they were not going to deliver. The manager was rude, he said he was not going to do it and hung up… Worst service ever!!!

Loyal customer checking in. This is my preferred diner in Sunset(well, which is easily filled being that there two diners in the 3 mile, 5th Avenue stretch lol). My immediate family and I have frequented this place since we were kids(raised here) and yes, some menu items are a hit-or-miss. The question is: are you willing to play the game with your wallet? Anyhow, I enjoy their burgers and with my limited diner-hopping travels, this diner makes the best sweet potato fries! One of their most redeeming qualities is serving you enough food to feed an impoverished 10-person village. If it’s a pasta item, you WILL take food home. One of my favorite parts about dining at George’s is feeling like a 600-lb woman after a late-night feeding. Your pants are holding on for all that is holy and miraculous and you know you have enough food to help you soldier on like the slaves we are to this cruel city. Service is good, employees are polite and attentive. Food is appropriately priced for quality and quantity. Shakes are to die for daahhling! They also have an espresso machine but I haven’t tried it yet. Deducting one star because the texture and look of their Turkey patties for the Thanksgiving Turkey Burger looks like if I threw it against the wall it would bounce off or ricochet –_– Also wish they were 24 hours *sucks tear back up her tear duct*

The food is expensive for below average quality. The lady that picks up the phone is rude and unprofessional. Called to ask where’s my order after 1.5 hour and obviously i would be a little upset since i’ve been waiting over 1.5 for my food and the lady gives me an attitude and says it’s not their fault and hangs up on me. They should have notify me that it would take longer than expected. I’ve ate in the restaurant before and seen workers eating fried chicken wings with their hands and don’t even wash their hands and continue to serve the customers. I would not come back here, save your money and eat at a better place, not worth it.

Got the egg bagel sandwich with sausage and iit was pretty much standard fare for a diner. Would have been better if i was drunk but bc i was sober it was right around average.

The coffee was good as was my massive ham and cheese omelette. Nothing to write home about, just standard diner fare. My friend ordered quesadillas and it came with everything else BUT salsa! Err? Que paso? Honestly, I’d come back just to support. Brooklyn is changing so rapidly that places like this are starting to disappear. We have to do what we can to preserve what’s left.

One of the best diners in Brooklyn. My boyfriend and I love coming here — the coffee is so great, the service is the best and the food is some of my favorite. I usually like getting the Bagel Brunch, a wrap or a sandwich. So delicious.

I came here about three times. I usually order take out through grub hub. Portions are large, I never finish my food in one setting. Overall the food is tasty. You can choose how rare you want your meats even if you are ordering just a hamburger. I really like their Shirley temple drink. Great experience.

I can’t say much about this place because I’ve only eaten from here on one(1) occasion and it was ‘take-away’. But I will say that the dish I ordered was prepared in classic, standard diner fashion. Club sammich n fries! My platter was exactly what I asked for, expected, anticipated, and received. Large portions; fresh ingredients; and competent presentation. No surprises or shocks in the slightest. And the place is open late when nothing else is. I don’t care what anyone else says –I base my review on what I order and what I receive for my money. If and when George’s fails with me, than I will mention it. But so far, so good.

I am disgusted. I eat from here almost every other weekend. Never had an issue. Just ordered a Greek salad & a Rambo wrap to my home. Opened the salad, started eating, found a BUG crawling around in my salad. SODISGUSTING. The managers excuse was«we were just checked by the health inspector, it might of snuck into the lettuce» That is NOEXCUSE. For someone who ate here at least 3 times a month I will NEVER be eating from here again! They apologized and I received a full refund and was offered a gift cerficate. I DENIED to take the gift certificate because I won’t be eating there and I wouldn’t suggest it for anyone else to.

Just got an order from here off of seamless. They showed up just in the nick of time but the food was cold. When I mean cold I mean ice cold. The saving grace is when I called them back to return my order they were really apologetic and refunded my order. I probably won’t be ordering from here again but at least they were nice.

Great neighborhood diner. A staple in the community. I visited regularly between 2010 and 2013 and they always had good service, good food, and low prices. Try the greek omelet.

This is for a few deliveries from them, I do agree with some of the other reviews, but this is my experience with them: In the beginning, they were fast and friendly, the chicken fingers were big juicy and delicious(literary 6 big pieces). 2nd order was less, 3rd order was even less. I tried to double the order so I can get more, that did not work. I tried to go for a pickup one time and magically it was big again, then ordered double for delivery and literary half the amount. Tried to talk to a manager there, who simply asked to talk to the owner but I have to come back another day! I went back, and he was not there. Honestly for a small non– fancy place, you should get what you pay for, not only the original big order I got was over priced, the last few orders felt like a rip off. At this point I just will never go back again. Don’t waste your money.

Hmm, my first review using the new feature on the Unilocal App!(Which is released to elites first) *snoody* Always friendly service here, with fair prices. The lines can be somewhat long on weekends and especially so after the church next door gets out. I have only come here for breakfast, their typical breakfast special is about 5 $ including eggs, home fries, toast and coffee. The omelets here are good, my favorite diet-killer is the pizza omelet.
