This place is great. Never had anything I didn’t like. Breakfast is always a great choice. The staff is lovely. Also its always open, so great for late night bites.

Went in with my family once and we waited soooo long for our food. The fat boss was super disgusting to his employees especially the spanish speaking people in the back. I wanted to fucking throw my knife straight to his fat fucking head. They waitress said she had knocked over my husbands plate which he was already waiting for, for like 30 mins. The check comes and they had already charged us the tip. Yeah no we declined to pay tip. Tip isn’t mandatory so don’t ask for it.

Average diner food, service was lacking, I had to leave my seat for any requests, and our server never checked on us after our food arrived. We also got two coffee mugs stained with lipstick. But food was decent price.

I love this diner — to be fair, it helps that I live very close and that it’s 24 hours. The donuts are great, weekend brunch/breakfast is always a treat, and the waiters are incredibly nice. Check out their milkshakes, the spinach and walnut salad, and my classic favourite, grilled chicken with vegetables and a baked potato. I can’t forget to mention that their ranch has a nice garlic flavor that I can’t help but love. Note: Cash only! Unless you order from Seamless.

Small place but don’t overlook it! I was in the neighborhood and we were seeking a diner for lunch when we found this on Unilocal. Was a bit skeptical based on reviews. Once we got in, you’ll see how tiny it is but I like that each booth feels semi-private. Smaller booths but consider it a cozy spot. We ordered the pancakes, western omelette and grilled chicken salad. Overall the food was really good! The homefries were made with well-seasoned, soft potatoes. The western omelette had a nice amount of filling with peppers, onions and ham. Definitely more than the three eggs they note in the menu. Generous portion! I also liked that they gave shout outs to local companies in the area and named their sandwiches after them. Very sweet. The toast was just the way I liked it — hot with melted butter and crunch when you bite into it. I can’t say that I always eat toast at every diner but I did here. The grilled chicken had a lot of flavor. Even their fresh squeezed orange juice was yummy. The pancakes were nice! Super fluffy and light, delicious with the syrup. It’s a nice spot and I would definitely come back if I’m in the area. But bring enough cash since it’s a cash only spot.

As I am basically a lifer in the Sunset Park area, I have frequented this diner many many times, but over the last several years my experience is mostly with delivery. The food is good, the staff is nice when you enter the diner, they do not accept cards, only cash which can be tremendously inconvenient, but they do have an ATM machine in the diner. it’s relatively small and gets very crowded on weekends, especially Sunday mornings. Now for the delivery phase, they often take quite a long time when you order for delivery and the men who bring you the food often play the confused role or claim not to have change so they can get a much larger tip than what they should. Overall, the food is decent, but they should send the men out with change and also the portions are relatively small, but other than that, I am happy with the service they provide.

Came here because my boyfriend was craving french toast. The food was delicious. We ordered the eggs with fried cheese, sunset park french toast, curly fries, and a glazed donut. Highly recommend the french toast and fried cheese. Sooooo good. The service was excellent as well. People were very nice. Beware, they only take cash!

The food here is horrible. I got a salad and it’s literally all watery, m and bland. I also got a bagel with cream cheese with only half of the bagel with some DABS of cream cheese!!!

Average food. Some selections are better than others. Good: Eggs, toast, Teacher’s s/w, Portobello Wrap & shakes. Bad: Pasta with Tomato Sauce(watery, flavorless) and sometimes, the pickles. It sucks when you get an old pickle. They’ve put up these really high partitions for the booths so it’s very claustrophobic and dreary on one side of the restaurant. 2.50 stars but the waitresses bring it to 3 stars.

In a neighborhood full of eclectic, delicious and affordable options from Mexico to China to Vietnam and Ecuador, why do I find myself back at an American diner so often? Good food — the usual diner fare, done right. Comfortable setting — cozy booths, several counter seats, pretty visible TVs if you are into that Friendly service — So friendly. My coffee cup stays full, I never feel rushed. And when I screw up and find myself a quarter short… «Don’t worry about it.» Great value — Sunset Park in general is a great neighborhood for stuffing yourself for under $ 10. This is yet another place where you can do that.

Decent donuts. The pumpkin was delicious and had a nice pumpkin flavor in the cake. The mozzarella stick were small and boring. I’d stick with the donuts. The staff was friendly.
This is regarding delivery only. This place has great prices, good food, and excellent delivery any time, day or night. I have never had an issue, and my food always comes with the appropriate utensils and condiments.

I came here for lunch with my colleagues. I had the chicken cutlet. It came with soup. I had the chicken noodle soup and it was on the salty side. The chicken cutlet was delicious. It was thin. The price for the meal was decent. Be aware that this place is cash only. So, don’t forget to have cash on you.

It’s 3 in the morning, I haven’t ate since 10pm, there is nothing to eat at home. I’m starving, I can’t sleep. What do I do? Every time this situation arises, I order from Sunset Park Diner. Honestly, I don’t know what else is open at this hour and delivers in ~20 minutes. So I default to this place. The food is okay, but it’s the middle of the night. I’m not expecting five star mouth watering food. Im expecting something filling, something that tastes decent and is quick. I usually order the Gyro Wrap(not really steak, just one big piece of sausage), some French Toast, some buffalo wings, and whatever else on the menu I may be craving in the middle of the night. Always ask them to cook the French Toast longer. One time it came soggy, tasting like grits. The wings are always good, although a bit on the expensive side. The Gyro wrap is inferior to the ones I get from those stands on the streets, but hey, it’s better than anything I could make. Location of choice for 3 am delivery.

Pancakes made of corn grits? I was not expecting that at all! And it was delicious. Added turkey bacon to that and it made for a good meal. I will definitely be back for those pancakes.
