Gotta give my homeslices some credit. I come here when I’m starving and craving Chinese food but don’t wanna pay a minimum for delivery and just want lots of greasy food. It’s cheap, it’s reliable, and it doesn’t disappoint. The lady at the counter is kind and accommodating — and they take credit card! I usually get the spicy chicken dish with plain rice and it’s like $ 5 and lasts me two meals. I usually bring it home and eat it with some veggies. Bubble tea is solid. It ain’t gourmet, it’s Chinese fast food.

The food is good and they accept credit cards. My complaint is the delivery man(there is more than one and this is the only one I have a complaint about) who did a half ass job on, well, his job. He called when he was downstairs and said he «had too many bags» and needs me to come down. I replied and said he should come upstairs(God forbid the 4th floor walk up is too much). This very rude guy replies with attitude and says«I have too many bags and that’s why I’m calling you.» REALLY??? Imagine… The concept of work… Being too hard… Having too much… Get over it, buddy. It’s called being an adult and having a job. Too many bags? Get another job. I’m sure there are many people who would do your job with no complaints and just be grateful that they have work.

It’s gross, it’s greasy food that stays to long out one time I was getting chicken teriyaki and there was a long curly HAIR! inside the food she just brushed it and act like she never saw it I was so disgusted I never went back there again.

The variety is nice, but the food is average. Our order was a disaster. Came in 2 parts. they were out of 2 types of noodle and asked to substitute pad thai noodle instead. Sure. One dish had that noodle and the other I am certain was just wrong. They accepted no responsibility for it. I have never had Pad See Yu be dry noodles without any sauce. Service = 1 star, the food we received that was correct was 3 – 4 stars.

The woman who answers DOESNOT speak English. Hello, I’m trying to order lunch, it’s that simple. And I’m not talking ‘get away with it’ English, I’m talking, I couldn’t even place an order with her, she had to take down my number for a guy to call me back. yea that’s cool. The guy who took my order said the food would be here in 30 minutes, when the place is 3 blocks away and the food arrived in 57 minutes. Not only did i order a very SIMPLE veggie lo mein and pork dumplings, ‘i also work super close. The Lo mein arrived BURNT! have you ever had BURNT lo mein before? umm nah, me neither. I was starving and felt bad for cancelling the order so I ate it. But that was dumb. It was pure crap. Gross food, terrible service. On the positive, the only way to go is up! Can’t get any worse! Tip was minimal to reflect service received.

Just gross, don’t do it. When it first opened it seemed like a good idea and the whole block smelled like a Chinese food court. But once you bring the food home you realize how greasy and gross it is. You can taste the lights it’s been sitting under. Don’t be fooled by the smell

I’m officially done ordering from this place. I ordered dinner on a Tuesday night, and waited nearly two hours for my food to arrive before simply giving up. This is not the first time such an issue has been had, either. I regularly wait an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes for delivery from this place. The food is decent, but not enough to justify this kind of wait.

I love Green Lake Express. They have decent Chinese and their sushi is good for the price. Portions are enormous, and I love that they throw in a free soda if your delivery order is over a certain amount.

We love their delivery. They’re always quick and the food has been really good. I love the wonton soup and the steamed dumplings. They also have great crab rangoons, good curry chicken, beef with broccoli, moo shu pork… we’ve enjoyed everything we have ordered from them. We also always appreciate the free sodas they throw in.

Right down the street from my apt in Lefferts Garden where options are so few. This place used to be Big Apple Fast Food which was decent but unfocused. Green Lake is like an Asian-ish version of Big Apple. They have buffet-style Americanized Chinese(mostly different kinds of chicken), sushi, burgers, hibachi, teriyaki, cheese steaks, wings, soup, bubble tea, smoothies, non-vegetable salads, and Gelato. Kinda weird, and just okay. I finally tried it on a lazy day after noticing they have an A health grade. The spring rolls were really greasy but decent. Shrimp potstickers were a little bland. I got the 2 item buffet with Hong Kong chicken, Sesame chicken and fried rice. Neither chicken had any sesame seeds so I’m not sure which was which but one of them was better. Fried rice was meh. Huge portions and cheap.
