The owner promptly emailed me to apologize for the treatment I received and said that she addressed the matter with the clerk. I appreciate an owner who tries to make a wrong right.
Perhaps I will try another visit.

I will never never return to this store.
They open at 11 am.
I arrived at the store this morning at 10:54 am. The salesperson inside saw me when I tried to open the door. I said I needed to make a return. She told me they open at 11 am and continued to dust shelves. Really?! She’d rather dust shelves than attend to a customer. Unbelievable!
She’d rather leave a customer standing outside than welcome them inside?!
Excellent customer service! Not! I will not be back.

Just stopped in here less than an hour ago and had to write a review. My neighborhood has a habit of being beyond expensive, but Habit has a really reasonable range of prices. I could picture myself in nearly everything stocked in the shop, and assistants were friendly and attentive. The shop caters well to the general aesthetic of its clientele – go Habit!

I like to shop here for gifts for my friends/​family. Service has always been super congenial and I gotta say everyone wears the stuff I buy them from there. That hasn’t always been the case for me, ha. Very reasonable prices for women’s clothing. Most places I walk in and turn right back around cuz it’s so damn expensive. I’ll be coming back here often. Great counterpoint to all the über fancy shops opening up in the neighborhood. Habit.

Love the smart variety of clothing, accessories, fragrances and home items. I can easily find something appropriate for house guests of varying ages as well as holiday gifting– that’s my idea of one stop shopping. i am especially grateful for the helpful assistance and patience of the staff. A win-​win! I am mostly thrilled to have purchased a set of Kai fragrance for myself: eau de parfum and the conveniently sized perfume oil (easily meets TSA specs when traveling). The store is always immaculate and well lit :) A plus for the nabe.

Can’t go wrong here. Never had anything but nice service and I like the vibe. Just get your girl a gift certificate and be done with it. She’ll love you maybe a little bit more for it. I also bought a towel at the one on 5th ave once, I won’t go too far into it but let’s just say it’s a very nice towel.

Love the new expansion. Usually shop at the Habit 5th Avenue location since I’m based in Park Slope. It’s my favorite go to store, in which I always find such great things. Decided to stop into Smith st. after a hair appointment just a couple of stores down. Smith st. was warm welcoming & very inviting… especially mimosas servings that day… very pleased. Might I say, that staff was very pleasant & helpful in assisting me with finding a couple of cute pieces not only for myself but a great gift for my mother. The price range is always so reasonable, bought a very seasonable dress for only $ 29.00 dollars that I’ve fallen in love with. Now I’m glad I have choices… where as I can check both locations to see what new things just came in.

Poor customer service, unreasonable return policy around Christmas and overpriced, poor quality merchandise. I went in to return a sweater and was unable to find anything worth buying. Didn’t help that the person «helping» us was rude, the dressing rooms didn’t even have mirrors and they didn’t have different sizes of anything.
