The only thing I get here is the veggie tofu soup. So good and healthy and light, it’s only $ 8 and it’s crazy big.

This is place is just awful. But I guess if you live near by and hungry for Chinese food and probably drunk this is the place to order from since it is better than the other local places. I was only visiting and I usually get Chinese food from Chinatown in Manhattan and Flushing. I was hankering for some Kung Pao chicken and walked the ½ block to this shop. Waited a half hour for my Kung Pao. They were busy. Took the Kung Pao home and it was mostly vegetables with 6 like MD chicken nuggets on top of a bunch of rice. Sauce was awful. Ending up tossing it. If that is what Kung Pao looks like at this shop I sure hate to eat the other stuff.

Generic family joint that cranks out ghetto and gentrified Chinese take out. Out of the 3 spots in the 2 block vicinity on Franklin J’s Wong is definitely the«fanciest» of them all. The fried rice is not greasy and the hot and sour soup is loaded with veggies and tofu. Only one downside, the white rice they use is not as good as the other spots’ nearby. But definitely good as a go to spot. Fun fact: they’re in the documentary ‘The Search for General Tso’. Look for the matriarch.

This place was awesome. It is a simple, no nonsense, NYc Chinese takeout joint and it was perfect. After an evening of bar hopping and drunken debauchery it was exactly what I needed.

I called this place and my meal came to 30 dollars. The person that took my order said you get a free pork fried rice(5.00), no don’t eat pork. Or I can give u 2 small teas(2.00). I said give me 2 large teas(3.00). No. He said can’t do that. I SAID but u can give me pork fried rice THAT’S WORTH(5.00). I said u still winning he said no I said cancel my order.

Good for what it is. Cheap ass food. I usually get their chicken noodle soup when I have a cold. So cheap a quart is the same price as a can of chicken soup.

This is bad even for cheap delivery Chinese. We had orange chicken, sesame chicken, and the«scallion pancake»(prepared sans scallion). All were below average to terrible. J’s Wong slightly edges out the Chinese at Safeway(West Coast grocery chain) for worst I’ve ever had.

Yo, those streamed shrimp dumplings be the dankest, yo! And they give you ten! What! Also, tofu and veggies are so good but you know I’m not getting brown rice ever again. When I eat Chinese I want white rice! For real! Cash only. Pshh fuck!

My go to spot in Crown heights. The dumplings and soups are so good. Light fresh flavors. Quick delivery as well. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite Chinese take-out place in my neighborhood. Jessica and her husband(named J’s Wong, because both of their names start with a J) are nice, and remember my favorite dish because I get it every time — Chicken with white rice and black bean sauce. Prices have gone up a little bit, as the neighborhood gentrifies, but they’re still busy. Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m kind of craving it. Maybe I’ll pop in and say hello to Jessica…

Your typical New York City Chinese take-out joint. It has the same menu as literally any other fast food Chinese place, prices changed accordingly. I got the Kung Pao chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken was pretty good, it came with a good amount of sauce, and lots of veggies. Not enough chicken though, so that sucked. The rice was… just rice, and the egg roll was deep fried goodness. This is an average place, but most Chinese take-out joints that i’ve tried in NYC are average, so its not bad. I would come back here again for a cheap meal if I’m being too lazy to cook after work.

This place is exactly what it claims to be. Cheap Chinese food, fast preparation and deliver, open late, friendly people. It’s certainly not gourmet, but for the price and ease — it’s good value and a good experience. Try the chicken and broccoli.

Food is delicious. Comes fresh and delivery guy is super nice. Whenever I need quick eats they are the best. Even in person I like this place

Guy who takes phone orders often has a giant attitude. Sigh. Please be nicer as there are at least 4 different similar options within walking distance. I’ve had too many Chinese in the neighborhood that tastes like old, rancid grease. This is a nice change. Fried rice tastes like rice and not the oil it was cooked in. Delivery is spotty at best, sometimes it takes an hour, sometimes it takes 15 minutes. Depends on the mood of the delivery guy i guess.

I’ve lived in Crown Heights for more than two years. I still don’t know who J is, let alone his Wong. That said, this is a reliable place. Practically the Citizen Kane of Crown Height corner Chinese places. I’m not proud of how often I go here, but, as far as guilty pleasures go, you could do a lot worse. 2.5 stars if grading objectively and 4 when grading on a curve compared to other $ 5 Chinese joints. p. s. I can never decide if I’m charmed or weirded out by the presence of two very young kids behind the cash register.

Standard corner Chinese food place with a purple awning instead of yellow, wings served in styrofoam container instead of cellophane bags and a cool family working together to take the heavy traffic takeout orders. I had the chicken and broccoli and was not disappointed. While waiting for my order I learned that they have a 2 wing order minimum as a young kid came in and tried to place an order for 1 wing. Hey, I get it, sometimes you have a craving that doesn’t quite justify a full order or you have 1 wing money. If this is your situation, J’s Wong is not your solution. While inexpensive, this place may be slightly more expensive than the other Chinese food places available within a few blocks.

based on the overall positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try. Since this was going to my first(and now last) visit, I got something«safe» or so I thought– sweet and sour chicken. Expecting pineapples, tender chicken, w/a tangy sauce, instead I was greeted by fried puffs of dough w/tiny pieces of chicken inside, a watery orange sauce, and no pineapples. I paid $ 12 for THIS??? ugh, no egg rolls were packed inside and the rice was… rice. there was no redeeming features of my experience to encourage me to return. I’ll have to get my chinese food fix elsewhere
