Got a spot at the communal table and decided to give it a try and im glad i did! I went for the Mushroom Walnut pasta and was really impressed with the flavor, so much so that i asked for the recipe and the owner kindly obliged me. The wine choices were a bit limited but they still paired well with my meal. I would make sure to ask if there will be kids as it can be a bit noisy but otherwise a wholly enjoyable experience. I’ll definitely be going back.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Brooklyn, NY
I had dinner here last night. I was flying solo since my girlfriend was out on the town partying it up with her coworkers so I decided try Jukihouse. I couldn’t figure out if this place was new or if it had been here for a few years and I was just finding out about it. The ambiance was sophisticated but homey. The design of the interior was very much unlike any spot i’ve seen in this part of brooklyn. B&W Photographs lined one wall from places all over the world and a Moroccan chandelier which hung over the lone communal table. The other guests made me feel welcome and engaged in their conversations of politics and food. The food was well thought out as well. I highly recommend the Thai Cabbage Salad as a starter — I mixture of red cabbage, green cabbage, carrots and peanuts with a slightly sweet and tangy dressing. One of the chefs gladly shared the recipe with me — super simple, albiet time consuming to make. I also recommend the steamed mussels in coconut curry which was accompanied with sweet potato fries, which were a tad overcooked and not very crunchy. My guess is that they were baked not fried, which sounds healthier, if thats what you are going for. All and all, a great experience, but the service was a bit slow which is why i’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. GIve them a chance, I’m sure they will iron out the kinks soon enough.
