Nice place, always fresh pizza, not so many people as always, but around 1 – 3 pm, very busy, you can wait 20 min for salad and couple regular slices, I love their chicken Caesar salad + small peace of bread, I’m a bread fan so I love it. I give them 5 stars and they own it!

Actually really good food. Pizza is always good. Delivered on time and good prices. Chicken Parm with baked ziti is excellent. Had it a few times and never fails.

This is the best pizza place in brighton beach and the people there are always super nice and friendly(which matters in this part of town). The pizza itself is delicious. I recommend the mozarella one or the luigi’s one. A big plus is that they do delivery and they are always on time.

Thanks for a great service! Everything is delicious and portions are huge! My order was delivered earlier than was expected even with this crazy freezing weather! Thank you!

Ordered one night at 11:10pm and received it 11:53pm. The lady on the phone warned me that they are closing and will deliver around 11:30pm. Now the pizza. I ordered half vodka sauce(not penne vodka) and half fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil. What I got was not tomato slices but just the sauce. The taste of both halves was really good, so I deducted one star for inaccuracy and somewhat lengthy delivery. Nonetheless, we will be ordering again.

In my opinion, best pizza place in Brighton Beach area. The staff is very nice and place itself is very clean. Delivery works great. Might seem a little pricy for certain pizza but it’s worth it cause it tastes really really good.

The pizza crust is too thin for my liking. The place is visibly clean but I haven’t looked at it or the food under the microscope. Some food for thought.

Great food, great deals and a friendly staff. The regular slices are delicious, that is usually how I measure the quality of all of their other foods. If you can make a simple regular slice taste good, then I trust you with everything else. The place is very clean, simple and menu is straight to the point. The delivery time is sometimes under 10 minutes! I live 2 blocks away, and on the rainy or snowy days where I do not want to leave my house, they come like ninjas. Keep up the good work!

I ordered chicken Cesar salad, as i took a bite it tasted a little off so i started to separate the lettuce pieces to take a look that it was actually old and most of the lettuce had brown/dark parts at the ends yes it was rotten! And chicken well it looked like they took a big chunk and cut it into 3 – 4 large pieces and just dump it over the lettuce! It was absolutely horrible and that one bite of salad made me very sick. please spare yourself dissapointment and dont order from this place.

I’ve been going here almost every week for well over a year now, ever since they opened. They’re fantastic. Just ask for whatever is fresh out of the oven and you can’t go wrong. The crust is thin with a nice crisp, the cheese has great flavor and melt, but it’s really the sauce that’s the standout. You can just tell it was made with the right tomatoes. Very fresh-tasting. The plain cheese is usually a good bet, since it’s almost always right out of the oven. I also like the square slices, the fresh mozz/basil/tomato(lots of garlic), and the veggie pizza. The topped slices are definitely loaded; you get your money’s worth. The same guys have been working the counter and the ovens pretty much every single day the whole time they’ve been open. They’re friendly and competent, and it feels family owned and run. They’re committed to what they do. The baked ziti is great too; again it’s that sauce, and that cheese. This is probably the best pizza in the area; of course L&B Spumoni Gardens is great, but that’s a pretty long shot away. I signed up for a Unilocal account so I could leave this review; after that many months of eating here – I just keep coming back – I figure they’ve earned it. Great neighborhood pizzeria.

When this place opened after Sandy I originally assumed it was the reincarnation of trashed Royal, down to the same $ 5 deal for 2 slices and a can of soda. Now that Royal’s finally reopened after a year, I still prefer Luigi’s tastier pizza, despite it not always being that crisp. They also make a very nice fried cheese calzone here, a decent stromboli, and utterly forgettable zeppoli. As for reviewers who order actual Italian food at pizza places, it serves you right. Head over to L&B, or better yet Tomasso’s, or make your own. Seating is inadequate, but for what it is this place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I was so happy when Luigi’s opened in Brighton Beach. There are no decent pizza places this side of the Bay and I was getting tired of hauling to my spot in sheepshead for a decent slice. The Luigi’s on Ave U was my go to spot when I was down that way — and I was so glad the same quality food and friendly staff are at the Brighton location. I always get the fresh tomato & basil slice when they have it and haven’t been let down by the taste yet!

Yes, I broke my diet to try a slice of Luigi’s pizza because a friend had raved about the place. And while I have definitely had more flavorful sauce and cheese, it was a very decent slice and much tastier than the $ 1/slice places I usually frequent. The pizza parlor is clean, well lit and the people working here were friendly. Overall I would say, a 3.5 would be a more accurate rating. A welcome addition to Brighton Beach Avenue!

PENNESLICETOTHEFACE one to three times a week. I love their penne slices. They are so messy to eat, the pasta falls everywhere– it’s like eating a delicious challenge. The zeppole get better each time I order; I ask the person on the phone to make them as sugary and perfect as they feel inclined to… and the results astound me. Check this place out… I’d really like them to stay in this neighborhood as long as I do.

Let’s start out with the worst part… I ordered a spinach roll(along with other things), and paid online via credit card for said spinach roll. I didn’t get said spinach roll, and when I called the restaurant back to ask where it was, they refused to pick up the phone. For a solid hour. And I know they were actively avoiding phone calls because every time I called there was a busy signal, meaning they took the phone off the hook, and the second I called when there was none, it would ring for a solid 10 minutes, and then immediately go back to busy signal. I don’t understand how any business that wants to retain any sort of clientele would work in such a manner. I also realized shortly after this, that this Luigi’s is owned by the same mediocre-to-awful Luigi’s that I reviewed a week ago! Had I known, I never would’ve ordered from here, knowing it would be an absolute complete waste of money. So let’s get on with what else they did wrong…(shocker)… I ordered a caesar salad. It came with a handful of lettuce, bare minimum of dressing(coating the bottom of the aluminum dish it came with, and little else), and a few croutons. It tasted ok. Had it been substantial, I wouldn’t have minded paying for it. I also ordered a penne ala vodka, which, although it tasted decent(3⁄5 stars), it had no Parmesan, and not the slightest hint of pepper — which it desperately needed. The aluminum tin was also 1⁄3 full. I think I could count the pieces of pasta we received. If you’ve got some time on your hands, you can count them via the photo I uploaded. It was roughly 30. That’s not worth what we paid for it. I ordered zeppoli, and instead of getting zeppoli, which are balls of dough deep fried, and completely covered in powdered sugar — instead I got tire-shaped pieces of dough(half the size of regular zeppoli), which not only aren’t zeppoli, but are also covered in so little powdered sugar, that I could barely tell it existed in the first place. They were chewy(to the point of actually hurting your jaw), and tasted old and stale. I ordered beef patties, which were good, but how hard is it to re-heat Jamaican beef patties after they’ve already been made for you? I so rarely give a place 1 star — I usually reserve it for restaurants where I literally get sick off the food. But this place was so dismissive, didn’t care about their customers complaints(like paying for something online that was never delivered), and going so far as to take their phone off the hook to avoid answering it when a customer complains… Come on, that’s just nonsense. And it’s nonsense that no one should have to deal with. No thank you. I will most CERTAINLY be ordering from elsewhere, and advise that you do the same. Their ignoring of my phone calls is frustrating, and the longer they ignore, the longer my frustration grows, because you know what — when you mess up an order — especially one that a customer has already paid for — it’s your responsibility as a conscientious restaurant — to make sure that customer gets said order — even if they order an hour before your closing time, and it takes you an hour to deliver it, leaving them less than a minute to call you back to complain about the order you messed up. And if it’s an inconvenience to you to remain open for a few mins. longer when you’ve messed up someone else’s order, then that’s something you should deal with. Now I’M dealing with a messed up order until they re-open tomorrow at noon, and I’ll be starving all night for them having forgotten my meal,(the rest of this order was my boyfriend’s — thankfully I stole a bite of everything), and being too cocky to pick up the phone to remedy it. [Edit] — I’m increasing their rating to 2 stars because they just agreed to deliver the spinach roll I didn’t get yesterday. It tastes ok(3⁄5) but is about 25% smaller than your average spinach roll. They make the same mistake of their Ave. U Luigi’s location of not chopping the spinach up first, so you take a bite, and the entire rolls contents drag out of the dough, and are gone. Wouldn’t order again. Not impressed.

Tough call on the rating here, which is a weighted average between the regular pizza and some elaborate concoction that may or may not technically count as a grandma slice. The regular one was lacking, primarily in the tomato sauce department. But the other one was an action-packed combo of sauce, tomato slices, mozzarrella, basil and garlic. Based on this promising slice and the fast and friendly service I’ll try again.
