MANDEVILLE BISTRO

Oooh. That oxtail. That right away should let you know how amazing the food is because I usually always start with the atmosphere. But even if the atmosphere was not up to par, which it is, I’d still give Mandeville 5 stars. Those of you who are from the Caribbean or have close ties with them will know how hard it is to get oxtail just right and boy is it just right. I also had a side of plantain which complimented it well. The rice and peas were also really good and I love me some rice and peas. Okay, atmosphere — sorry for the delay. The staff are really sweet and actually took the time to have a conversation with me and we had a good laugh. Great food, good laughs. What more do you need out of life. I know I don’t need much more. This place is not to be missed. As always– Happy Eating.

well seasoned jamican food. I ate here twice and Will continue to. food is held on a steam table. so you just point to what you would want. the restaurant is clean. there is no bathroom. there is seats if you would like to dine in.

One can tell that lots of love goes into their food. I appreciate it. This is my lunch/​dinner while I work. I’m there at least three days out of the week.
I love the stew chicken as long as it’s the big pieces of chicken. The grilled salmon is amazing, with actual grill marks and that smokey flavor. There’s also a fish gravy.
The rice and peas, FLUFFY, taste almost like grandmas.
Honey chicken is good and the jerk chicken is great.
Macaroni pie was great.
Currant roll was a currant roll.
I would always recommend Mandeville Bistro if you’re near Flatbush ave and Snyder.

The jerk chicken here is SO GOOD. I had a small jerk chicken with a side of steamed cabbage and my brother had a medium honey fried chicken with a side of mac n cheese. Everything was delicious.
There’s no menu (yet?) so you have to go in and see for yourself what they have. The small plate was $ 6 and medium was $ 8, so the prices are great!
I will definitely be going back often. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in the neighborhood!
